Active since 1993, Rudy Ratzinger's project :WUMPSCUT: is one of the VERY few industrial acts that has succeeded in maintaining a prominent position in electronic music since its very beginnings, with a total of 18 albums so far in the :WUMPSCUT: discography.
2011 starts with four limited releases and none more so than the "Totengräber [GraveDigger] Jacket". The TOP QUALITY heavy field jacket is the ONLY official merchandise for the new album, other than the shirts included with the box set. It bears a two colour embroidered logo and is fantastic quality. Only 110 of these have been manufactured, so buy very quickly before we're too late to order them in!! Available in sizes M and L.
Also new for this week is a special twelve-track album-length "DJ Dwarf Eleven: Schrekk & Grauss", as used by :WUMPSCUT: to promote the latest album. Featuring mostly exclusive material, not included on the album and box editions of "Schrekk & Grauss", and this latest installment also features two tracks remixed by :WUMPSCUT: for other artists - MORTIIS and ST ANTHONY. Again, be quick because it is likely to be sold out fast!
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, Rudy also presents his latest effort "Schrekk & Graus", loosely translated as "Scare & Horror", offering the usual harsh industrial, synth-driven sound with distorted vocals and scary melodies. After a few excursions into more 'mellow' sound-regions, Rudy returns to the more aggressive, harder stuff - always maintaining his special trademark: a well balanced melange of good melodies, great arrangements and industrial noise. Available as a CD, vinyl and limited box set.
There's also a MONUMENTal re-release of :WUMPSCUT:'s famous debut from 1993, "Music for a Slaughtering Tribe", which includes two bonus CDs with remixes, rare and exclusive versions, demos and instrumentals. This is again available in three formats, including a limited box set.

Review Riding high on the success of his previous two albums, Rudy now presents his latest effort "Schrekk & Graus", loosely translated as "Scare & Horror", and despite his worldwide success (especially in Nothern America), this new album surprisingly features more German lyrics than ever. S&G offers the usual harsh industrial, synth-driven sound with distorted vocals and scary melodies. After a few excursions into more 'mellow' sound-regions, on S&G Rudy R. returns to the more aggressive, harder stuff - always maintining his special trademark: a well balanced melange of good melodies, great arrangements and industrial noise.
