The somewhat delayed 12" version of DEPECHE MODE's "Peace" single has been announced at long last. It contains two exclusive remixes not available on any of the other formats, making it well worth the wait!
FEAR FACTORY's "Mechanize" is a full-fisted blast of passion and innovation that sounds like the missing link between 1995's groundbreaking "Demanufacture" and 1998's more texturally nuanced "Obsolete". For the first time in years, the band's industrial roots glimmer through their street-lethal metal. Each of these tracks amply demonstrates how FEAR FACTORY has evolved, constantly reconfiguring itself to maximize its destructive impact.
"Seventeen" is the first all new EP from X MARKS THE PEDWALK since 1996! This comeback is one of the most awaited on the electro/industrial scene and a true masterpiece and potential hit for dancefloors around the globe, featuring additional remixes by NOISUF-X and LIQUID DIVINE, a bonus track "Winter Comes Tomorrow", and a video clip for the title track.
After the surprise hit of their debut, "NESferatu", THE GOTHSICLES are back with even more EBM inspired carnage on their latest offering, "Sega Lugosi's Dead". Combining their signature infectious bouncy hooks, offbeat sense of humour and love of all things geek, the duo produce an album that surpasses their first. Featuring guest appearances from PROMETHEUS BURNING, CYANOTIC and unwittingly, CAUSTIC, and remixes from ALTER DER RUINE, SYSTEM SYN, ISZOLOSCOPE and DEFCON!
After a long wait, ATARAXIA's the "Concerto No. 6: A Baroque Plaisanterie" CD (originally released in 1996) has been re-pressed with digitally re-mastered sound and an exclusive bonus track recorded in 2009. It will contain nine songs taken from the original album plus "Orlando, a Female" taken from the out of press "Orlando" EP and ATARAXIA's version of Franz Schubert's "Ave Maria".
A few releases from ADVOXYA RECORDS now, starting with "Hypothermia" from Australian duo THE CRYSTALLINE EFFECT, an organic synthesis of all elements of actual electro, supplemented with sensual vocals. "The Hated" from LARVA is a mix of sounds and noises - dense structures, hard beats and oppressive atmospheres with rich lyrics. DRAINED SCORN present a weird mixture of styles, and give shape to a brutal and violent sound on "Release the Hate", and "Post Alcoholic Body Syndrome Vol. 3" is the long-awaited label compilation featuring ALIEN PRODUKT, THE PAIN MACHINERY, CONTROLLED COLLAPSE, SCHYZZO.COM, SYNAPTIC DEFECT and many more.
"Dischord" is the debut album from ANALOG ANGEL, a three-piece electronic band from Glasgow. There is certainly more than a hint of 80s electronica here - some of the basslines are straight out of the yearbooks 80-85!, and some of the sounds are pure analogue beauty, full of filter sweeps that could smash windows! Here we have good, old-fashioned synthpop teamed with a dark, sometimes menacing lyrical undertone. Dark, cheeky, menacing, yet edgy and vulnerable.
And as we're getting close to Christmas there's a whole load of compilations. You don't just get "Extreme Traumfanger Vol. 9", but "Extreme Traumfanger Vol. 10" too, and they're available as a bargain-priced set. The ninth volume includes MESH, MARSHEAUX, WAYNE HUSSEY and CLAIRE VOYANT, whilst number 10 has IN STRICT CONFIDENCE, LACRIMOSA, PATENBRIGADE: WOLFF and DIE UNTOTEN.
Mr Sprissler has been busy as we have "Gothic Compilation 46" as well, featuring FAITH AND THE MUSE, FADERHEAD, LIQUID DIVINE and X MARKS THE PEDWALK.
Then there's TYMPANIK AUDIO's highly anticipated third compilation release "Emerging Organisms 3", featuring the very best in futuristic and forward-thinking electronic artists from around the world, including KLANGSTABIL, DISPLACER, MILLIPEDE, AUTOCLAV1.1 and many more.
And finally, as has become the tradition, every year now there's a new instalment of the "Saw" horror movie series and an accompanying soundtrack. Volume 6 features tracks by NITZER EBB, TYPE O NEGATIVE, LACUNA COIL, HATEBREED, and lots more dodgy metal.

Review Mechanize is a full-fisted blast of passion and innovation that sounds like the missing link between 1995's groundbreaking "Demanufacture" and 1998's more texturally nuanced "Obsolete". Songs like "Industrial Discipline" and "Powershifter" are crushing and colossal, melding fast and precise rhythms with vocals that pinwheel from raw and scathing to hauntingly melodic while "Fear Campaign", which features harrowing spoken word passages, quickly segues into a showcase of punishing beats, rapid-fire riffs and ghostly keyboards. For the first time in years, the band's industrial roots glimmer through their street-lethal metal, thanks in part to Fulber, who worked on Fear Factory's popular industrial remix albums "Fear Is the Mindkiller" and "Remanufacture". While "Mechanize" is instantly reminiscent of Fear Factory's most potent moments of discovery, it's hardly a stroll down the old assembly line. Be it the orchestral keyboard swells of "Christploitation", the keyboard-infused dirge of "Final Exit", the taped screams and radio transmissions of "Controlled Demolition" or the last-gasp-under-shattered-glass samples of "Metallic Division", each of these tracks amply demonstrates how experience of FEAR FACTORY has evolved like a computer virus, constantly reconfiguring itself to maximize its destructive impact. This was also an ironic album in which, sometimes, the band made fun of the very age from which they had taken inspiration. A deeply felt tribute to the Music Maestros of the past, a suffered research in the profound meaning of music, a personal homage to the impressive film of A. Review DRAINED SCORN came into being in 2004. After some experiments with trance and hardcore, Mr. Lagash (mastermind beside the project) started to focus more in the creation of intense industrial music, presenting a weird mixture of styles, and giving shape to a brutal and violent sound. Work on this album began in June 2006, but hit a hiatus in May 2007, when progress and production stopped due to the different occupations of the various band members. Later in 2007, things started running again, with fresh ideas and a very brutal sentiment, prepared to be screamed along with the songs. Many changes were made to the album concept, and the initial tracklisting modified with the addition of some songs and the removal of others. One such additions, "Stick It to Your Brain", features vocal contributions from Porno Grindcore singer KBZA, giving life to one of the most violent songs ever. Review The long-awaited label compilation from Advoxya Records is finally here, exactly two years after the release of the previous "Post Alcoholic Body Syndrome" and four years after the release of the first compilation. Thanks to the many talented bands that work with the label at present, it is clear that Advoxya's potential is growing, both in terms of well known bands who are already established within the industrial scene (including NEXUS VI, ALIEN PRODUKT, THE PAIN MACHINERY, CONTROLLED COLLAPSE, TOTAL PAIN KOLLAPZ, who have previously released albums through other labels) and also new bands releasing their debuts through Advoxya (FIRST BLACK POPE, SADIZTIK INJECTION, HIRED.LIFE, SPIN PROVIDER, HL-CODER, MIND.AREA, to name but a few). Whilst the label traditionally extensively represented the Russian scene (with bands like THE-PULSAR, WAVEFALL, DENERGIZED and CYCLONEB), plus a delegation from Advoxya's home country, Hungary (SCHYZZO.COM, IMPACT PULSE, NOTHING NADA), there are now an increasing number of groups on their roster from South America, a region which has recently become the centre of interesting projects and a massive industrial movement. There is certainly more than a hint of 80s electronica on "Dischord" - some of the basslines are straight out of the yearbooks 80-85! Some of the sounds are pure analogue beauty, full of filter sweeps that could smash windows! Up to date technology? - that box is ticked too. There are digital synths on the album, of that there is no doubt but they have been tweaked to within an inch of their lives. This results in a less clinical sound with a bit more warmth than you would normally expect from an all-electronic band. Review Individual maturity and artistic growth led EVEN VAST to an evident separation from their initial sound, which was rather heavy and slow as characterized by "Hear Me out" (1999) and "Outsleeping" (2003), two albums which nonetheless gained the band critical acclaim and aroused the interest of many people. Their third album "Teach Me How to Bleed" (2007) led the band towards a more decadent darkwave sound. In late 2007, they decided to modify their moniker to EVEN MORE VAST (also reflecting the stabilisation of their lineup as a trio) and went on to record this current album which features completely re-arranged and re-recorded versions of the songs from "Teach Me...", plus three promo tracks recorded in late 2007, and the previously unreleased track entitled "Would You Believe?". The result is an album of HIGHLY recommended first class wave/gothic/ethereal/cold wave, comparable with earlier FAITH AND THE MUSE and the early 4AD sound, such as the COCTEAU TWINS - without ever sounding 'dated', 'retro' or 'trendy'. "Would You Believe?" is simply 'handmade music' - each and every track has its own singular character, free from clichés. EVEN MORE VAST know their influences, without ever trying to copy them. Even their cover version of JOY DIVISION's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (which has been highly praised by many German mags) is no imitative blasphemy, but a highly inspired homage, as only THE SWANS have succeeded in delivering so far! A truly wonderful album, which wins the listener over from the very first listen, thanks to marvellous instrumentation, impressive songwriting and, above all, Antonietta's intense vocals. In short, with "Would You Believe?", Antonietta Scilipoti (vocals and keyboards), Luca Martello (guitars and electronics) and Vincenzo Di Leo (bass) deliver a true pearl in this often boring music scene and this album deserves attention! Review Another great re-release from the Eternal Soul label, best known for the TRIARII albums, but also home to BRACHIAL PALSY, AXON NEURON, PHELIOS and others. "Kernkrach", the first single by the Greek band HUMAN PUPPETS, released only as 7" vinyl on the Hertz-Schrittmacher label, was a real bomb and sold out in the blink of an eye! Review BLACK SUN PRODUCTIONS is the project of MASSIMO & PIERCE, a duo of producers and performers based in Zurich, Switzerland, former members of "COIL Live" and creators of the "Plastic Spider Thing Show". Besides BLACK SUN PRODUCTIONS, their discography features an array of guest artists such as COIL, LYDIA LUNCH, HR GIGER, VAL DENHAM, SUDDEN INFANT, NIKO SKORPIO, SONNE HAGAL, ANDREW ZEALLEY and many others. With Stefano Rossello (BAHNTIER, DETUNE-X, KETVECTOR) they have been collaborating on a number of projects since 2006 and "Enoeraew" is the first full length album as a trio. Tracks produced over the years have been reworked alongside brand new pieces recorded in Spring 2009 in Zurich. The album was then mixed and produced by Stefano in Italy. In "Enoeraew", MASSIMO & PIERCE's experimentalism meets BAHNTIER's electro-industrial dance music, resulting in hypnotic arrangements for an oneiric and poetic journey into the realms of Ritual Music. The themes of Love and Desire, Magic and Death are insightfully investigated here and the result is an aural experience of electronica, melodies and acoustic instruments melting into a tantalizing new genre. The first disc contains a selection of tracks that were exclusively mixed by the pair for this release, including non-stop mixes of songs by legendary bands like YAZOO, DEPECHE MODE, O.M.D. and ULTRAVOX. However, this not simply some kind of 'mega-mix'. BLANK & JONES have been extremely respectful to the music of their chosen bands, and have stayed close to the original recordings, taking great care to produce a result that is in harmony with them.
