RAMMSTEIN are back. Four years after the release of "Rosenrot", their last studio outing, Germany's most successful rock act have announced the release of a brand new studio album, "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" – an eleven track offering that is already being talked about as a classic to rival their hugely acclaimed 2001 "Mutter" release. This latest album is perhaps the Berlin band's most varied release to date, including genuine surprises, a smattering of English and French, plus some of the heaviest songs in their repertoire. The deluxe edition of the album comes complete with a bonus disc featuring five previously unreleased tracks. Please note that the "Pussy" single has already been deleted and we cannot obtain any more copies.
JOHN FOXX is back with two new releases. "A New Kind of Man" was recorded on the 2007 "Metamatic" Tour and includes live versions of all the tracks from the pioneering electronic album, plus B-sides and rarities. Whilst "Impossible", a collaboration with LOUIS GORDON, features two new tracks - "Adult Concerns" and "Walk This Way" - plus ten re-worked versions of previously released material. Some of these are completely new arrangements; others are closer to the live versions.
After the dust had settled from 16 VOLT's brilliant "FullBlackHabit" album in 2006, Eric Powell returned to the studio to begin work on his next masterpiece. The result, an even more refined, slightly more aggressive album, entitled "American Porn Songs". The epic creation, features guest appearances by Tim Skold (MARILYN MANSON, KMFDM, SKOLD), Steve Pig (KMFDM, PIG), and many more!
"Automatisch" is the new single from TOKIO HOTEL, featuring the title track in German and in English. The premium edition features the German version, plus the additional track "Humanoid" and comes with a free magnet.
It's been only four months since DIR EN GREY released their live DVD "The Rose Trims Again", but already the most successful international act from Japan strike again with another stunning release. "Average Blasphemy" contains the band's most recent videoclips, including the 10 minute version of "Vinushka" and the video for "Dozing Green" that was voted best video on Headbangers Ball 2008.
With the release of "Ashes" in 1985, CHRISTIAN DEATH managed to achieve the impossible. Only one year earlier, they had already created a sombre musical milestone with "Catastrophe Ballet", an album that is still regarded as an archetype of the Gothic scene. With "Ashes" the band again played a major role in the development of this subculture and set once more the artistic standards for generations to come. Valor has diligently restored and enhanced the sound by remastering the album with its integrity remaining untouched. As a very special treat the previously unreleased song "Before the Rain" featuring Rozz Williams' vocals has been added to this re-issue.
"Imperium" sees EISHEILIG release a gloomy reckoning with the here and now. The band have produced the album under their own direction for the first time, creating an extremely heavy, sinister recording. Along with the meaningful lyrics, the listener comes to realise after hearing the album a number of times that it is based on a strong musical concept.
Lord Athanor has been thrilling the Black Scene with his project GREIFENKEIL over the last 4 years. Currently, however this exceptional artist is dedicating himself entirely to his new Electronic new wave project: GRIFFONVOX. The debut release "Control Lost" is a tribute to the JOY DIVISION classic "She's Lost Control". Supported by chant as well as by the expressive performance of The Three Sirens, Lord Athanor presents a unique mixture of new wave and performance art. The digipak (limited to 700 copies) comes with an elaborate design-card containing the lyrics of "Beauty Lost" and "Best Time".
The fifth and sixth instalments of the "ESPLENDOR GEOMÉTRICO Live" CD-R series! (limited to 250 numbered copies only!) are "Live in Kyoto" and "Live in Madrid". Recorded digitally in top quality, these come in special cardboard packaging. Most of the tracks contained are VERY different versions from the originals.
Finally this week, we have a couple of compilations. "Schlagstrom! Krrrbrrrtztzkrrrbrrrtztz Vol. 4" is the fourth official sampler from the infamous "Schlagstrom" industrial festival in Berlin, featuring exclusive tracks by ASCHE, SYNAPSCAPE, IN SLAUGHTER NATIVES, BAD SECTOR, MONO NO AWARE, and more... Whilst "4 Years of D.I.Y." is 16 mostly exclusive tracks by AH CAMA-SOTZ, CORELINE, IMMINENT, MARCHING DYNAMICS, SYNAPSCAPE, etc. Limited edition of 300 copies in special paper folder packaging.

Review RAMMSTEIN are back. Four years after the release of "Rosenrot", their last studio outing, Germany's most successful rock act have announced the release of a brand new studio album, "Liebe Ist für Alle Da". Since starting out 15 years ago, RAMMSTEIN have built a reputation as a controversial, no-compromise, and hugely entertaining band, with a fiercely loyal and genuinely international following. Today, they stand head and shoulders above the competition as the greatest (musical) showmen on earth, with an incendiary stage performance that generally results in tickets for their concerts selling out in minutes. They return to UK stages in February 2010, in support of their sixth studio album – an eleven track offering that is already being talked about as a classic to rival their hugely acclaimed 2001 "Mutter" release. Produced by Jacob Hellner and mixed by Stefan Glaumann, the regular RAMMSTEIN team, this latest album is perhaps the Berlin band's most varied release to date, including genuine surprises, a smattering of English and French, plus some of the heaviest songs in their repertoire. As always with RAMMSTEIN, controversy is never too far from the scene, with lead single/video "Pussy" already causing something of a stir, and "Wiener Blut" drawing 'inspiration' from the recent, much-publicised, case of Austrian Josef Fritzl. Other key tracks include "Rammlied" (a celebration of the band itself), "Waidmanns Heil" (which sees traditional hunting horns used for the first time) and "Roter Sand", an atmospheric cinematic composition unlike anything the band have recorded before. Review "Impossible" features two new tracks - "Adult Concerns" and "Walk This Way" - plus ten re-worked versions of previously released material including classics such as "Dislocation" and "The Man Who Dies Every Day". Some of these are completely new arrangements, others are closer to the live versions. There's a raw, analogue, fractured and aggressive style to the material - the closest in sound is FOXX/GORDON's 2003 release "Crash and Burn" - but it's heavier than that album, featuring 'rusty metallic synths', live improvisations and 'shredded' vocals. With "Ashes" the band again played a major role in the development of this subculture and set once more the artistic standards for generations to come. This astonishing achievement was accomplished by the now perfect balance between the two main protagonists of the group - late singer and band founder ROZZ WILLIAMS hones his charismatic vocal approach, combining melancholic singing in the vein of LOU REED and DAVID BOWIE with his distinct rhythmical recitative and wailing lament; guitarist and singer VALOR KAND delivers disturbingly dark and deeply atmospheric songwriting, which to this day raises the hair on the back of the necks of his listeners. "Ashes" continues the Armageddon theme of Valor's previous band POMPEII 99 and the interest in Dadaism and Surrealism displayed on "Catastrophe Ballet", while adding an experimental pinch of the truly insane. This is represented within the restored artwork showing photos of early 20th century mental patients as selected by Rozz and compiled and arranged into the first layout by Valor. The singer and guitarist has also diligently restored the original sound, while carefully enhancing its sound by remastering the album with its integrity remaining untouched. As a very special treat the previously unreleased song "Before the Rain" featuring Rozz Williams' vocals has been added. Review "Imperium" sees EISHEILIG release a gloomy reckoning with the here and now. More clearly than ever before, they touch on society's sore points, with a call to stand up against a world ruled by ignorance, apathy and manipulated information. This album addresses the dark sides of life which have long become a familiar element. It goes without saying that this kind of subject matter requires a suitable sound. For this reason, the band have produced the album under their own direction for the first time, creating an extremely heavy, sinister recording. Along with the meaningful lyrics, the listener comes to realise after hearing the album a number of times that it is based on a strong musical concept. "Tanzt das Kapital" is a dancefloor hit par excellence, and songs like "Das Letzte Gericht" with its sacral choirs and wafting synthesizers is amazingly deep and moving. "Zeitgeist" and "Lauft", on the other hand, are extremely straightforward, stomping numbers with enormous intensity. All in all, "Imperium" sounds like the soundtrack to all apocalyptic movies wrapped into one, and yet it is so much more: a dense, extremely realistic album which alienates, makes its listeners think, and moves them. It is definitely a 'political' album, and it's a good thing that in this day and age there are bands, especially on the black scene, who take up a stance and don't shy away from making clear statements. The sirens Lady A, Lady C and Lady E, hunted and tormented, are a symbolic representation of the frenzied and brutal manipulation of Mother Nature by mankind. In addition to the haunting, audio-visual arrangement, the development of the video (of course included in the EP) is equally remarkable with authentic film material provided for it by the environmental organization GREENPEACE in order to illustrate fully the threat of Global Warming to our planet. Danceable and bizarre - that is GRIFFONVOX - predestinated for dance-floors. Additional remixes of the GREIFENKEIL classics "Schau Nach Vorn" and "Selling Your Souls" provide material for further dancer, and the renditions here are even more powerful than before. Copyright pirates will miss a lot: the digipak, which is limited to 700 pieces, comes with an elaborate design-card containing the lyrics of "Beauty Lost" and "Best Time". As usual, GRIFFONVOX provide visual pleasure as well as remarkable music - a gem for the CD collection. Review ADMX-71 is a new project created by well known techno producer and DJ, Adam X of Brooklyn NYC, who now resides in Berlin, Germany. Review ANDREAS GROSS and his six-piece band set out to prove yet again that you can play any kind of gothic music like dark wave, heavenly voices or electronic pop without sticking to the typical genre clichés. This album stands out thanks to the amazing arrangements and the beautiful vocals Tabitha Anders, who sounds like a siren singing under water. Her voice is really compelling. Without even hesitating you can easily compare ANDREAS GROSS and his band to the COCTEAU TWINS, THIS MORTAL COIL or early CLAN OF XYMOX. The tracks on "We Like Ghost Girls" are put feature beautifully sophisticated melodies, complex arrangements and lyrics that are very poetic. Review MINUSHEART is the project of Diver and Benden, begun in 2007. Right from the start they knew that their music would be based on electronic sounds, emotional vocals and with a tendency to unusual melodies and unusual song structures that remind you of NITZER EBB or SKINNY PUPPY. This CD features a smattering of club tracks ("Icehouse", "Don't Feed the Cats") as well as some darker songs like "Future Lies" which is wonderfully intense, bringing to mind the classic industrial bands like SHOCK THERAPY. "Burning Star" is a beautifully written melancholic electro-industrial-pop song and the perfect conclusion to the album. The two musicians create a special sound that plays with the classic elements of electro and EBM music but is always up to date and full of detailed elements that make this album very unique. Review Da5id Din and Tyler Newman are musicians from two successful but very different musical projects: DIN_FIV and BATTERY CAGE. Review PHOSGORE is a one-man project founded in 2008 by Flo Dietz. After ten years working as an Electro/EBM/Industrial DJ he decided to use his knowledge of the club scene to create music himself. Shortly after the first self-published promotional CD called "Club Domination" was released, PHOSGORE was signed to the German label ProNoize. At that time, tracks like "Hardcore Shit" and "Club Domination" were already being spinned in quite a few clubs. Some sampler contributions followed, such as "Fleisch", released on "Extreme Stoerfrequenz 2" and "Pain Tutorial" as a part of the fourth installment of the famous sampler series "Endzeit Bunkertracks", the latter being a part of many harsh DJ sets all around the globe. PHOSGORE has also achieved quite a lot with his live shows, which include playing at the Dark Dance Treffen (Germany), the Schatten-Tanz Festival (Germany) and at the world's longest running dark scene club: the Slimelight, London. Review Hailed as one of the most innovative new industrial bands, ANGELSPIT return with their new album "Hideous and Perfect", a confronting audio-visual statement set to corrupt listeners the world over. "Hideous and Perfect" promises to be ANGELSPIT's darkest release to date with its sonic textures ranging from hard, pounding beats, to organic, atmospheric samples, topped off by a feverishly powerful male and female dual vocal assault. The duo's sonic exploration and creative process took them out of the studio and into an abandoned shipping yard in Sydney Harbour, where they recorded much of the album's pounding industrial percussion. They fashioned and sampled handmade acoustic and electronic instruments, imparting a unique organic sonic texture to the album, while also giving a nod to the experimental roots of industrial music. A vicious concoction of industrial guitar riffs, clever hooks and pathologically disturbed synths, making up 12 harsh, heavy and deliberate tracks set to self destruct, "Hideous and Perfect" is challenging as it is catchy. The cyber-punk track "Ditch the Rest" opens the album, with its crunching malicious guitars and aggressive percussion setting the dynamic for what is to follow. "Cold Hard Cash" is next, combining deceptively sweet vocals with grinding rhythms and anarchic synth melodies. The remaining tracks range from the hypnotic pounding analogue hell of "Sleep Now", to the elegantly deranged "Let Them Eat Distortion" and to "Fuck the Revolution"'s brutal and unforgettable rock'n'roll trip to insanity. Cinematically chilling instrumental tracks provide some respite from the otherwise intense mood. Zoog and Destroyx's turbulent vocal onslaught deals thematically with an apathetic cashed-up society who are simply 'bored to death'. ANGELSPIT's double-edged lyrics can be poetically poignant, at other times witty, but are at all times severely potent. And their aesthetic concept is equally as iconic as their musical statement, as they continue to develop their fierce design and fashion aesthetic. Review "My work is finished but it's never done." Two years ago, MINISTRY founder and frontman Al Jourgensen set out to retire his 30-year project and exit gracefully in a blaze of glory with the release of MINISTRY's final studio album "The Last Sucker" to high critical acclaim, a release touted by many as Jourgensen's career best. In tandem with this exit strategy, throughout 2008, he and his crew assaulted sold-out audiences around the world with the final MINISTRY "C U LaTouR" live performances. These very performances were captured and archived forever in the Spring 2009 audio/visual releases of "Adios... Putas Madres". Now Jourgensen gives us his final chapter and epilogue with "The Last Dubber" remix. Given the political and economic landscape that has transpired within the global community within the past two years, revisiting Jourgensen's remix of his final words, we find that hauntingly prophetic in hindsight and eerily poetic. Review "Goth clubs come and go, as we know, and not many of them last long enough to be remembered by anyone other than the people who regularly attended them. Review DAVID SYLVIAN is a man apart. In his thirty-year career that spans the New Romantic movement, ambient works, progressive rock, and mature and esoteric pop, Sylvian has tested popular styles and bent them to his own vision. But the 00s have seen a more extreme side of his work. While 2003's "Blemish" startled long-time fans with its emotional rigour, Sylvian has taken the next step with "Manafon" (his first solo album in 6 years) – a work of nuance and stern musicality, that is also intriguing, suspenseful, and horribly beautiful. On "Manafon", Sylvian pursues "a completely modern kind of chamber music. Intimate, dynamic, emotive, democratic, economical." In sessions in London, Vienna, and Tokyo, Sylvian assembled the world's leading improvisers and innovators, artists who explore free improvisation, space-specific performance, and live electronics. From Evan Parker and Keith Rowe, to Fennesz and members of Polwechsel, to Sachiko M and Otomo Yoshihide, the musicians provide both a backdrop and a counterweight to his own vocal performances – which, minus one instrumental, are nakedly the center of each piece. Sylvian's voice has never been so dominant or so striking, and his resonant tenor and deliberate vibrato captivate the listener from the start of "Small Metal Gods". "It's like a one-man monologue in which every change of light and backdrop is crucial to the carrying of the central performance. It's an ensemble work even though there is a central performance." Intuition drew Sylvian to these pieces and these players, and the surprises they bring: a cello visiting like a warm hand on a forehead, the unpredictable use of unadulterated sine waves, the brassy path of Evan Parker's soprano sax solo. "Manafon" has a forbidding core, but aesthetically, each piece is an engrossing discovery. Review "Pulsión" is the all-new album by the legendary ESPLENDOR GEOMÉTRICO, the influential and acclaimed Spanish duo, survivors of the second Industrial wave of the early 80s! Review Accession Records has not signed any new bands for many, many years... So the fact, that Adrian Hates' (DIARY OF DREAMS) label has now signed new act SININE from Estonia is a guarantee of something really outstanding to come! It was in the autumn of 2003 that the Estonian guitarist Mauno Meesit, having played in several experimental and rock bands, started searching for ways of making more personalized music. In addition to playing guitar he started experimenting with synthesizers and samplers, and the project SININE (the Estonian word for "blue") was born. Expansion of musical borders gave way to new explorations. From this, a sort of a musical stained glass window evolved, wherein different genres can be heard, and although combined freely, the music still remains loyal to the author's own handwriting. The music of SININE is a composition of real-life emotions and moments from the past, re-awoken in multi-layered sound spheres. Meesit has found sound and melody.equivalents for every place, atmosphere and cognition described, and by using a variety of instruments and multi-layered musical compositions, a creation where pop music blends with the borderlands of more refined genres emerges. Review PHOSGORE is a one-man project founded in 2008 by Flo Dietz. After ten years working as an Electro/EBM/Industrial DJ he decided to use his knowledge of the club scene to create music himself. Shortly after the first self-published promotional CD called "Club Domination" was released, PHOSGORE was signed to the German label ProNoize. At that time, tracks like "Hardcore Shit" and "Club Domination" were already being spinned in quite a few clubs. Some sampler contributions followed, such as "Fleisch", released on "Extreme Stoerfrequenz 2" and "Pain Tutorial" as a part of the fourth installment of the famous sampler series "Endzeit Bunkertracks", the latter being a part of many harsh DJ sets all around the globe. PHOSGORE has also achieved quite a lot with his live shows, which include playing at the Dark Dance Treffen (Germany), the Schatten-Tanz Festival (Germany) and at the world's longest running dark scene club: the Slimelight, London. Where PHOSGORE plays live, only ashes (and the occasional screaming fangirl) remain. When on stage, Flo is joined by the lovely Sonja, who assists him in dominating clubs all over the world. PHOSGORE lacks dark romantic song texts and multi-coloured plastic hair-sporting singers, and there are no bats flying out of anyone's ass. Review The sky's turning black again: after three years of silence, California's PSYCLON NINE return in 2009 with "We the Fallen", their darkest, most aggressive album to date. Over the course of their previous albums, PSYCLON NINE have continued to evolve into their own sound, implementing elements of industrial, black metal, metal and post-punk influences. The summer of 2000 saw a match made in heaven when ex-roommates Marshall Carnage and Josef Heresy decided to form PSYCLON NINE. They started out as a guitar-driven industrial band, heavily influenced by the likes of KMFDM and MINISTRY, but the members soon altered their style towards a more aggressive sound. Shortly thereafter, the band came together as a whole when Eric Gottesman, the frontman for SEE COLIN SLASH joined Carnage and Heresy. In 2003, PSYCLON NINE released their first album "Divine Infekt". This debut gained them popularity very quickly with its extremely fast paced music and lyrics. In 2005, they released their first U.S. album after signing to Metropolis Records. The album, "INRI", featured thirteen tracks of dark, aggressive music with a focus on religious themes. Not an album for the faint of heart, it was an all-out assault on the senses proving that PSYCLON NINE really know how to hit their mark. With a devout hardcore fan base under their control, the band unleashed their next wave of sonic battery in 2006. "Crwn Thy Frnicatr" featured eleven skin-crawling tracks of dark omniscient rhythm, overlaid with haunting melodies and screaming whisper-like vocals. Now the time has come for "We the Fallen", an intense synth/black metal attack in which PSYCLON NINE have enlisted the help of Jason Miller (GODHEAD) for final tracking and mixing.
