Welcome to the weekly round-up of forthcoming releases.

After years of complete silence, and more than a year later than previously planned and announced, German act IN STRICT CONFIDENCE finally return with an EP featuring all-new, exclusive material. "My Despair" is a first taster for the eagerly awaited new album, due in 2010.

FROZEN PLASMA
's "Tour Monument" is a limited EP that was sold exclusively on the FROZEN PLASMA/ROTERSAND/VNV NATION tour in 2009, and contains live recordings from the M'Era Luna Festival 2009. Highly exclusive, limited to 500 copies - first come, first served, as we have a very small number.

"Take No Prisoners" from POW(D)ER PUSSY leaves very little to the imagination. Eleven tracks pounding aggressively, yet subtly against you skull. There are no more nice kittens here only ferocious felines!

After seven years of activity, "Walk with the Shadows" will be the final album from WYNARDTAGE (Ed. - boo!). The album will be released as a double disc featuring a couple of new tracks and a lot of remixes from famous bands such as GRENDEL, AGONOIZE, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, LEAETHER STRIP, L'AME IMMORTELLE, XOTOX, X-FUSION and many more!

LAHANNYA's forthcoming second album "Defiance" delves further into the world of the Underground. This stunning concept album is her darkest and most aggressive-sounding release to date, with both lyrics and music reflecting the intensity of the emotions that shape the story. Once again LAHANNYA is defying narrow genre definitions with her explosive cocktail of industrial rock-infused plenty-of-metal attitude and a sprinkling of pop appeal. Fans of LACUNA COIL and MARILYN MANSON should definitely give "Defiance" a listen! Also check out the UK gigs in London, Leeds, Glasgow & Nottingham.

18 years is the time span that we have had to wait to get an all-new album from legendary French cold wave act NORMA LOY! "Un/Real" brings thirteen new tracks - among them a cover version of a track by the STOOGES - offering a mood somewhere between classic 80s cold wave and contemporary dark ambiances.

PRO-JEKT release their long-awaited third album "Reign of Scars" on REBCO RECORDS. Produced by none other than ADE FENTON, famed musical artist, DJ and producer of albums such as "Jagged" by GARY NUMAN, the album features nine tracks including a blistering cover version of ANIMOTION's 1985 classic "Obsession".

The eagerly awaited and long-overdue album "Love, Hate and Sorrow" from IKON is a release full of energy, that really stands out from the masses of gothic/industrial releases. The first disc features the 'official' album with twelve new tracks, while disc two contains an 'unplugged/acoustic' session of a further ten tracks in total - probably their best release in ten years!

"Apathology" is SCREAM SILENCE's seventh release. Made for the darker days of the waning year, it leads the listener into an almost tangible but still surreal and sometimes unsettling world of nearly oppressive beauty. Also available as a limited edition with a "10th Anniversary Bonus DVD".

WAVEFALL personify a new generation of the Russian electronic scene - the generation that hacks itself into the world industrial scene with the coupled sound of electric saws and organic synthetics. The very unique style of this band distinguishes them from the mass of other cloned groups. Both albums, "Huge Frustration" and "Heartstarter", are released on ADVOXYA RECORDS.

On December 21st 1989, the members of EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN hit the road in West Berlin for their very first concert in East Berlin, in the Wilhelm Pieck Hall of the industrial plant VEB Elektrokohle. "Elektrokohle (Von Wegen)" is not a pure 'live' movie - it does capture NEUBAUTEN's first live gig in East Germany, but it is also in the first place a documentary movie about the divided Berlin in its last days before re-unification; a documentary about the clash of Western (capitalist) with Eastern (communist) culture in those legendary days of radical change in Berlin.

There are some quality compilations again this week, with the latest instalment of the "Maschinenfest" sampler, featuring tracks from almost all performing bands from 2009, including LAST DAYS OF S.E.X., HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH, HECQ, THIS MORN' OMINA, GREYHOUND, BRIGHTER DEATH NOW, POW[D]ER PUSSY, 100BLUMEN, SYNAPSCAPE, and S.K.E.T.

There's also Volume Three of the "Extreme Lustlieder" series, dedicated to extreme lust and sexually-inspired electro tracks, and "Kod.Ex", the sampler from the event organization based in Paris. The double cd compilation features exclusive and unreleased tracks from IMMINENT, ISZOLOSCOPE, ASCHE, MONO NO AWARE, ROGER ROTOR, THIS MORN' OMINA, MLADA FRONTA, OIL 10, FLINT GLASS, EMPUSAE, TWINKLE and many more!

And finally, three albums from COMBICHRIST have been re-issued as single CD versions - "Everybody Hates You", "What the F*ck Is Wrong With You People?" and "Today We Are All Demons".

Postal Strikes

We have a series of short strikes by postal workers here in the UK at the moment, so expect mail to be delayed by a few days. Hopefully, this will be sorted out before the Christmas rush!

Have a great week!

Pow(D)Er Pussy Take No Prisoners £14.50
Review
The title of this CD certainly leaves very little to the imagination. Eleven tracks pounding aggressively yet subtly against you skull. Us pussies had a lot of fun while brewing up this cocktail of explosive rhythyms, gentle synth-work and delicate sampling. We set out with a clear mission to make you move physically and mentally, stopping once or twice to allow you to breathe. Nine lives you say? Well be sure that this one will not go unnoticed. Claws and fangs at the ready and our mood set to 'devour', there are no more nice kittens here only ferocious felines! We're coming for you. ::meow::

Lahannya Defiance £13.00
Review
For LAHANNYA standing still is a bit like dying. Just six months after catapulting right into the heart of the European alternative scene with her impressive debut "Shotgun Reality" in 2007, the blue-haired gothic icon released her follow-up EP. With "Welcome to the Underground" LAHANNYA first introduced a futuristic world set in a distopian Britain, reminiscent of a modern version of George Orwell's "1984". As a reaction to the increasing number of terror attacks and rising violence in the cities, the UK transformed into a surveillance society where only the adherence to strict rules allows you access. Privacy has become a privilege of the past.

LAHANNYA's forthcoming second album "Defiance" delves further into the world of the Underground. Misfits and nonconformists, ostracised from this Brave New Britain have withdrawn into the London Underground tunnels, creating a parallel society where the law of 'survival of the fittest' once again applies. "Defiance" traces the path of a resistance leader living with the terrible knowledge of having created the technology that made such extensive surveillance possible.

This stunning concept album is LAHANNYA's darkest and most aggressive-sounding release to date, with both lyrics and music reflecting the intensity of the emotions that shape the story.

Norma Loy Un/Real £14.75
Review
18 years! This is the time span that we have had to wait to get an all-new album from legendary French cold wave act NORMA LOY!

"Un/Real" was recorded during 2009 by Chelsea (voices), Usher (keyboards, samples), and original members Scavone H. on bass, Guillaume on drums and Mika Chrome on guitars. These thirteen new tracks - among them a cover version of a track by the Stooges - offer a mood somewhere between classic 80s cold wave and contemporary dark ambiances. Ranging from animal nightmares ("Spiders") to social thoughts ("Second Life"), this new album is the absolute synthesis of both NORMA LOY and the evolution of the French indie music scene in general! A more than convincing comeback and an expected jewel to put under your Christmas tree!

Ikon Love, Hate and Sorrow £19.75
Review
IKON are almost certainly one of the best known, and most continously successful Australian bands. Originally often compared to JOY DIVISION, their sound has evolved over the years into something very original, authentic and unique. Catchy melodies are central to their music, along with a powerful guitar-based sound, and many of their tracks have become timeless hits in alternative and gothic clubs around the world.

The eagerly awaited and long-overdue album "Love, Hate and Sorrow" not only marks the band's return to the German label Apollyon (with whom they first signed back in 1994), but is also an album full of energy, that really stands out from the masses of gothic/industrial releases these days/these years!

The first limited edition will be released as double CD in a deluxe 8-panel digipak with special varnish print. The first disc features the 'official' album with twelve new tracks, while disc two contains an 'unplugged/acoustic' session of a further ten tracks in total. Whether you like it rockier as on CD1 or acoustic as on CD2, with "Love, Hate and Sorrow" IKON present once again an album that is highly authentic, original, creative and unique - probably their best release in ten years!

Scream Silence Apathology £21.50
Review
This highly limited deluxe digipak with 16 full colour pages was released some time ago, and is now sold out/deleted in Germany. However, we are now finally able to get hold of a limited number of copies.

Not many bands succeed in permanently increasing their abilities during their musical career, and in so doing manage to present another masterpiece to their growing fan community in which this development can be heard or even felt in every single note. Right on time for their ten year anniversary, "Apathology" is the band's seventh release. And what an album that is...

"Apathology" - another self created wordplay meaning the 'science of apathy' - is an at times a very unusual concept album. Made for the darker days of the waning year, it leads the listener into an almost tangible but still surreal and sometimes unsettling world of nearly oppressive beauty. You can hear the ten months of studio work in every note - quite an exceptionally long time to spend recording, although not particularly so for SCREAM SILENCE. They celebrate an almost matchless dense, dreary atmosphere with an until now scarcely-heard complexity and with foremost variety. Every single song is unique and doesn't resemble any of the others not even the least. The fragile guitar lines, especially at the slower pieces like "Downfallen" and the depressive "The Antagonist" seem to dance with Fieting's keyboard and string arrangements. Almost playfully they develop into hammering walls of sound when SCREAM SILENCE interpret in their own typical way the fastest song in band history "Their Bleakest Sun", the catchy "Killing Essay" and the potential hit "Counterfeit". With unusual songs like the psychotic opener "The Faint", the oppressive "Apathy", the exceedingly dreary "Athanasia" or the inimitable hymn "This Is What We Left Behind" the band prove their impressive musical bandwidth that only repeated listening fully reveals.

The closing nine-minute "Euphoria" describes in sheer unbelievable lethargy the phenomenal very last moment of life. SCREAM SILENCE have arrived without doubt at their creative zenith and impressively show on "Apathology" how modern dark rock music can sound... and should sound: without exaggerated pathos, but instead with the feeling for the perfect song full of authenticity.

This release also comes with a "10th Anniversary Bonus DVD" containing live songs, 'making of' footage, videoclips and photos.

Wavefall Huge Frustration £11.75
Review
Chaos. Can the chaos surrounding us be expressed in a rigid and merciless musical key? Can sonic chaos find directed motion within a strict industrial faceting? To answer this question, yes it becomes possible, once you step inside the hurricane world of Wavefall. Everything that you have listened so far, and everything that made you fall in love with the industrial scene, has found a clear and intelligent form in this talented group. A new world order has begun.

From the very first moments of the album, an absolutely crazy charge of energy is brought down upon you, relaxing only momentarily in the several slower compostions on the album, making it possible for the musicians and the listener to draw a breat of fresh aire before being immersed again into the merciless industrial chaos. It is possible to draw an innumberable quantity of parallels between sounds and style associations from the electronic scene both past and present, from the better days of CAT RAPES DOG of the early to mids 90s, to the classicality of FLESH FIELD and the energy charge of contemporary FUNKER VOGT and HOCICO. And yet WAVEFALL remain definitively themselves, personifying a new generation of the Russian electronic scene - that generation which hacks itself into the world industrial scene with the coupled sound of electric saws and organic synthetics. The very unique style of this band distinguishes them from the mass of other cloned groups.

Briefly, if you would like to know what modern danceable Russian industrial means - buy a one-way ticket, and travel to the world after WAVEFALL! There is no return.

Wavefall Heartstarter £11.75
Review
"Heartstarter" - the key of ignition to your daily life, the biopulse of your heart, beating in the chaotic motion of the modern megapolis, saturated by sins, madness, electronics and machines. The second release from Moscow-based project WAVEFORM continues in the same vein as their first-born album, "Huge Frustration". All the musical elements for which the group have achieved acclaim to date are represented here: aggressive rate, distorted vocals, catchy music - there is no need to repeat once again all merits of this band.

Also good to note is the increased professionalism of the group, resulting in a very solid arrangement. "Heartstarter" depicts a unique world, created by WAVEFALL, and built on the fragments of the reality that was brought crashing down a year and a half ago by album "Huge Frustration". All of which contributes to an album that is a must for dancefloor, and an absolute starter to your heart - all concentrated into sixteen wonderful compositions. This release is truly a worthy continuation of their debut. Stronger than ever before!

Einstuerzende Neubauten Elektrokohle (Von Wegen) £20.75
Review
At noon on December 21st 1989, the members of EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN - a band then hailed as a West-German cult export - hit the road in West Berlin for their very first concert in East Berlin, capital of the communist GDR. In those days, it was a long, strange journey from Berlin Kreuzberg to Berlin Lichtenberg, into the Wilhelm Pieck Hall of the industrial plant VEB Elektrokohle. The Berlin wall was still standing and there was still very tedious border control.

This film is not a pure 'live' movie - it does capture NEUBAUTEN's first live gig in East Germany, but it is also in the first place a documentary movie about the divided Berlin in its last days before re-unification; a documentary about the clash of Western (capitalist) with Eastern (communist) culture in those legendary days of radical change in Berlin.

"A powerful encounter that conveys the time's energy, its insecurity, but also its desire and excitement to get to know each other." Süddeutsche Zeitung

CombiChrist Everybody Hates You £10.75
Review
Originally released in 2005, COMBICHRIST's second album brought a well-earned breakthrough for Norwegian berserker Andy LaPlegua.

"Everybody Hates You" is a groundbreaking fusion of techno, industrial and electronic body music which sees LaPlegua ignite a sonic inferno with distinct hit qualities, spiced up with provocative samples and cynical attacks. Featuring club hits such as "Blut Royal" and "This Sh*t Will F*ck You Up", this album is one of the most innovative and aggressive releases of its time and nearly five years on is still a mandatory spin at any alternative club night.

An absolute classic of hard electronic dance music now available as a reduced price standard edition.

CombiChrist What the F*ck Is Wrong With You People? £10.75
Review
On this their third outing, COMBICHRIST had no fear of hitting where it hurts and delightfully poking their fingers into the festering wounds of a society that knows no place for subtleties. Thus, each thumping beat and thudding bassnote of this lively techno body music becomes a healing kick in the eye for an indifferent mass that is drowning in its own decadence. They effectively steal from the media's subtexts and use their impact as a weapon: the music of COMBICHRIST is conceived to be both a lot of fun and a wee bit painful.

We are the new Babylon, welcome to disco armageddon! Now available in a regular edition at a reduced price.

CombiChrist Today We Are All Demons £10.75
Review
This is techno body music! There is probably no other act that has influenced this musical genres as much Andy LaPlegua with his project COMBICHRIST. On "Today We Are All Demons", he spiffs up his wild mix of EBM and Techno with a solid dose of industrial and aggrotech on a foundation of pure electro. The increased hardness-factor and the thoroughly European sound of the album are very effective: when Andy LaPlegua exorcises his inner demons and screams out his anger at the world to massive thudding beats and noisy electronics, COMBICHRIST becomes a perfect club inferno.

"Today We Are All Demons" - angry aggro-anthems for a sick world, now available in a regular single CD edition at a reduced price.

The Swedes are renowned for their excellent melancholy songwriting and this trio from Stockholm are no exception. Assemblage 23 Compass £12.00
Review
ASSEMBLAGE 23 and Tom Shear - there's no need to introduce the man behind this figurehead of electronic music. For almost ten years, he has provided the scene with a string of hits.

Still, his new album demands a closer look. It is not just his sixth studio album - "Compass" is a lot more than that. This album is the uncompromising presentation of Tom Shear's biggest strength, the composition of dreamingly beautiful ballads, relentlessly catchy tunes and club hits that will draw all the party animals to the dance floor. He is a real master of his trade, and on this newest work, he has achieved the feat of sticking to the sound all ASSEMBLAGE 23 fans love and hope for, while still creating a powerful and exiting new vibe. Listening to this album and discovering "Compass" in its whole glory is pure fun; it fascinates and electrifies.

All this combined makes sure that "Compass" is not just a treat for Shear's big fan base but will also excite all those who have not yet discovered the fascination of ASSEMBLAGE 23. The single "Spark" has already proven a strong and promising harbinger - but who would have thought that Tom Shear might surpass this benchmark in such a glorious way. For all those who love straightforward but also sophisticated and substantial electronic music, this album is not to be missed!

Rotersand Random Is Resistance £13.25
Review
Ever since their debut "Truth is Fanatic" exploded like a bomb, it has been impossible to imagine the clubs and the alternative charts without ROTERSAND. And with their new album, "Random Is Resistance", they have once again succeeded in performing the balancing act between club-friendly music and a total work of art, mixing chilled-out electrobeats with shimmering futurepop sequences, trance-like sounds with atmospheric samples, clear-cut melodies with warm and charismatic vocals, subdued new wave with classical strings. Nor do they shy away from acoustic guitars and pop hooklines, creating a unique universe that pulls together all strands of electronic music and which remains masterfully emotional and above all, intelligent. "Random Is Resistance' is the most perfect work to date from ROTERSAND's unique creative musical forge. Without doubt, in the world of electronic music, ROTERSAND once more claim their special position, not least because the intelligence of their lyrical message is mirrored in the skillfully employed variation of their music. Individualists who dance their way out of the grid, achieving musical resistance to the well-worn pigeonholes.

"Coincidence" is an unpredictable factor. To remain unpredictable was not only ever just an integral part of ROTERSAND's music. To remain unpredictable in a world in which we are (voluntarily) monitored and in which we relinquish all of our data and personal preferences in order to become the perfect controllable consumers - that is resistance! "Random Is Resistance" is guaranteed, like its predecessors, to implant itself into various charts, onto the dancefloors of the clubs and into the brains of the listeners. A collectors' piece which no fan of ROTERSAND should be without!

The first edition of "Random Is Resistance" is released as a lavish eight-panel digipak with an extensive booklet full of sombre illustrations which perfectly set the visual scene for the story and which can be described without over-exaggeration as a work of art.

Mesh A Perfect Solution £12.75
Review
After a three year absence, Bristol's hottest underground export in heart-wrenching electronic pop is back.

MESH, the duo of Mark Hockings and Rich Silverthorn, return with "A Perfect Solution", possibly the most mature, mutable and yet toughest album of their career. While no one doubts Mark Hocking's status as an exceptional vocalist, a complete listen to this album also serves to highlight the band's songwriting and arrangement skills. Once pegged as a purely retro synth act, MESH have mutated into a true live band, and the resulting versatility in the arrangements transforms what might have merely been eleven good songs into absolutely outstanding ones.

Thematically, "A Perfect Solution" is a bit darker than previous releases. The tone of the album is typified by "If We Stay Here", a tale of broken relationships between people who once loved each other, but who now just exist in the same space. The massive housing facade pictured on the cover further symbolizes the painful dramas that take place behind its windows. The wires running throughout the artwork are both safety lines and shackles - anything but "A Perfect Solution".

Were the album musically as dismal and hopeless as it is lyrically, "A Perfect Solution" might be too much to handle, but luckily MESH know how to strike the delicate balance between bitter and sweet.

Solitary Experiments In the Eye of the Beholder £15.25
Review
The Berlin-based trio SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS have long since understood the fact that good electronic music requires more than simply bringing together some synthesizer presets with some cuddly beats. Thus, on the new album "In the Eye of the Beholder", the band lay just as much emphasis on good song-writing, catchy melodies and multi-faceted arrangements as on club-compatible beats and solid bass. The anthemic electronic tracks keep the delicate balance between catchiness and a thorough dose of power that keeps them from ever drifting into the realms of pop-muzak. Effectively carried by Dennis Schober's warm voice and spiced up with a lot of emotional depth, "In the Eye of the Beholder" is a picture-perfect example of how intelligent electronic music in a field of tension between melody and club appeal should sound.

The first edition of this CD will be released in a cardboard sliderpak, and comes with a bonus disc that features remixes, rarities and unreleased tracks. Club sounds with a lot of soul!

Wayne Hussey Bare £14.00
Review
After THE MISSION finally broke up last year, singer WAYNE HUSSEY has finally had the time to record his first solo album, entitled "Bare", featuring songs that Wayne has been presenting on his recent solo tour. The album also features four live bonus tracks, recorded at a sold-out show in Bochum in October. The recording is uncut and with Wayne's explanations and comments it really captures the special atmosphere that prevails at his concerts.

For the album, not only did Wayne record old classics by THE MISSION ("Shelter from the Storm", "Garden of Delight", "Black Mountain Mist"), he also covered songs by THE CURE ("A Night Like This") , U2 ("With or Without You") and DAVID BOWIE ("Ashes to Ashes") among others. He plays these songs with all due respect but also adds a new twist to them. "Bare" is an album which really reflects Hussey's personal taste, a very personal and melancholic album which perfectly fits into the cold autumn and winter days.

Faderhead Horizon Born £7.00
Review
One year after finishing his album trilogy with the acclaimed "FH3" CD, FADERHEAD is back with the five-song "Horizon Born" EP!

And once again he surprises everyone by releasing something totally different from the uber-club hit "TZDV". "Horizon Born" is comprised of five ballads and shows a totally different side to this talented German songwriter. A side that was always present, as songs like "Exit Ghost", "Still Missing" and "Vanish" amply demonstrate, but that was always overlooked due to the massive presence of FADERHEAD floor-fillers in electro clubs worldwide.

Some people say that ballads are actually the main strength of the charismatic, shade-wearing, mohawk lover - and "Horizon Born" definitely underlines that claim. Spanning a huge stylistic range from cinematic orchestral sounds to gnarly industrial-rock drums and poppy electro-ballads, "Horizon Born" is gonna be a treat for everyone who loves emotional lyrics and soulful melodies.

And it may convince a lot of people that FADERHEAD isn't just a one trick pony...

Genevieve Pasquier Le Cabaret Moi £13.25
Review
Three years after "Soap Bubble Factory" and "Virgin Pulses", Ant-Zen is proud to present GENEVIÉVE PASQUIER's new album. From the very first note the listener will be mesmerized by the elegant electronic pulses that are dominated by the persuasive/icy quality of her vulnerable and adorable voice. "Le Cabaret Moi" is GENEVIÉVE PASQUIER's very own cabaret. A cabaret which transforms her desires into fourteen songs of diverse styles (without regard to any arbitrariness). The music's scope ranges from subtle, slow-moving ambience ("Changing", "Nobody's Darling"), electro noise tunes ("Bouge!", "Fusion") and beautiful atmospheric lounge cabaret ("Mon Cabaret"), through to insistent electroid beats ("Rubberpop") and finally into a furious rapid interpretation of THE NORMAL's "Warm Leatherette". At once beautiful and distant, GENEVIÉVE PASQUIER's delivery speaks to everyone's feelings of loneliness, anger and pleasure that crop up at some point in life. A revue of class and noblesse - enter and enjoy your stay!

Review
FUTURE TRAIL are sure to make a breakthrough with their smashing new album. Made up of members of DAVANTAGE and the Rupal Records Team, FUTURE TRAIL are sending out a strong signal into the hearts of the electro community! If you remember the female voice from WYNARDTAGE's "The Grey Line", be prepared to be offered once again the stunning vocals of Mel, combined with those of the legendary Dirk Ivens (KLINIK, DIVE, SONAR) in the hypnotic duet of "Landslide", truly one of the highlights on this release. Another high point is the soft pushing ballad "Players", where you can take a relaxing break from the sonic waste of hellectro. From here on in titles like the magical "One Time Focussed" or the very romantic "Patience" allow the special depth of FUTURE TRAIL's compositions to shine through. In contrast, the very ambitious "Monochrome Affair", offers a tension between aural caresses and subtle melancholie, whilst "Panic" features vocals from Dirk Steyer of ACCESSORY. In short, the new album features soft and atmospheric electro songs on the one hand balanced out by more danceabele EBM on the other.

Rammstein Liebe Ist für Alle Da £12.50
Review
RAMMSTEIN are back. Four years after the release of "Rosenrot", their last studio outing, Germany's most successful rock act have announced the release of a brand new studio album, "Liebe Ist für Alle Da".

Since starting out 15 years ago, RAMMSTEIN have built a reputation as a controversial, no-compromise, and hugely entertaining band, with a fiercely loyal and genuinely international following. Today, they stand head and shoulders above the competition as the greatest (musical) showmen on earth, with an incendiary stage performance that generally results in tickets for their concerts selling out in minutes. They return to UK stages in February 2010, in support of their sixth studio album - an eleven track offering that is already being talked about as a classic to rival their hugely acclaimed 2001 "Mutter" release.

Produced by Jacob Hellner and mixed by Stefan Glaumann, the regular RAMMSTEIN team, this latest album is perhaps the Berlin band's most varied release to date, including genuine surprises, a smattering of English and French, plus some of the heaviest songs in their repertoire. As always with RAMMSTEIN, controversy is never too far from the scene, with lead single/video "Pussy" already causing something of a stir, and "Wiener Blut" drawing 'inspiration' from the recent, much-publicised, case of Austrian Josef Fritzl. Other key tracks include "Rammlied" (a celebration of the band itself), "Waidmanns Heil" (which sees traditional hunting horns used for the first time) and "Roter Sand", an atmospheric cinematic composition unlike anything the band have recorded before.

This standard edition of the album comes housed in a beautiful digipak with gold-blocked lettering.

Kite II £8.00
Review
KITE, the fantastic Stockholm-based duo, are often referred to by the media as some kind of 'supergroup'. Nicklas Stenemo (MELODY CLUB/THE MOE/VENUS OUTBACK etc.) and Christian Berg (STRIP MUSIC/YVONNE/THE APRIL TEARS etc.) have made a huge impact on the new wave/synthpop scene since their start in 2008. To such an extent, that recently one of Sweden's most famous journalists, Fredrik Strage, listed the best tracks made over the last 10 years and KITE's "Ways To Dance" was included! Perhaps not surprising, considering this very same track stayed on heavy rotation on Swedish national radio for eight consecutive weeks.

With "II" the band takes yet another huge step towards the absolute top of the electro/new wavepop scene.

John Foxx A New Kind of Man £12.00
Review
"A New Kind of Man" was recorded on FOXX's 2007 "Metamatic" Tour and includes live versions of all the tracks from the pioneering electronic album, plus B-sides and rarities. "Metamatic" has been hugely influential, cited by Uncut Magazine as THE KLAXONS' all-time favourite album, and influencing countless other artists beyond that. According to The Sunday Times, it is 'still an eerie experience to hear it all these years later.' Mojo raved about its minimalist approach, concluding that its cold electronics and stark vocals make it 'one of the most under-emoted records in pop history.'

John Foxx & Louis Gordon Impossible £12.00
Review
"Impossible" features two new tracks - "Adult Concerns" and "Walk This Way" - plus ten re-worked versions of previously released material including classics such as "Dislocation" and "The Man Who Dies Every Day". Some of these are completely new arrangements, others are closer to the live versions. There's a raw, analogue, fractured and aggressive style to the material - the closest in sound is FOXX/GORDON's 2003 release "Crash and Burn" - but it's heavier than that album, featuring 'rusty metallic synths', live improvisations and 'shredded' vocals. William Burroughs, Del Toro and the strobe-lit techno-punk imagery of early ULTRAVOX are all reference points on one of the darkest albums JOHN FOXX has released in years.

Scrap.edx Merciless Protraction £13.00
Review
Long awaited fifth album by the east coast industrial drum'n'bass producer Joshua Colella. "Merciless Protraction", quite possibly SCRAP.EDX's most essential work to date and the eagerly anticipated follow-up album to 2006's Recoil the Void, is a journey through the circuitry of advanced industrialized electronic music. This album narrates the story of technological singularity collapsing on the linear reality of today's human world and challenges the listener to ask questions about our intentions as a continuously advancing and evolving civilization. "Merciless Protraction" samples, bends and manipulates countless genres of electronic music into a cohesive and innovative body of work; a signature of Colella's high digital production quality and complex, stylized programming skills. Consisting of industrial drum'n'bass, breakcore, rhythmic noise, dark ambient and IDM production styles, "Merciless Protraction" is a futuristic journey through the universe of hardcore electronic dance music. Featuring the spoken word talents up upcoming American writer Craig Marchinkoski, Japan's Kenji Siratori and the remixing skills of Canada's LIAR'S ROSEBUSH, "Merciless Protraction" is an essential album for fans of advanced industrial music.

Greyhound Tactical Evolution £19.75
Review
On their fourth studio album release, "Tactical Evolution", GREYHOUND express how they view the situation on planet earth in the year 2009. This album is their musical interpretation of daily global events and features 26 intense, powerful rhythm'n'noise tracks for industrial clubs worldwide. In reflection of the current violence and recklessness sweeping the globe on a daily basis, GREYHOUND have created a soundtrack of aggressive rhythms and threatening atmospheres. Hard, pounding, distorted beats and heavily distorted sounds are melted to the unique mixture GREYHOUND have become well known for. Changing pulses, information overload, the surveillance fight and fast-moving life resonates in each second. Be prepared for the "Tactical Evolution"!

13th Monkey Redefining the Paradigm of Bang £13.00
Review
"Redefining the Paradigm of Bang" is the best description for this 100% club-compatible techno industrial project by the two sound artists and producers Andreas 'Thedi' Thedens and Harm Bremer. While this project is based in Lüneburg, the album demonstrates that there is more than simply calm and beautiful landscapes and curly black haired sheep called 'Heidschnucken' in the Lüneburg Heath. If you dive-bomb into the subsurface blow-hole you will find yourself in the middle of a weird rebellion and may even cross the path of an anthropoid on the run: the 13th Monkey. The eleven tracks on this album were constructed using an array of tabletop hardware instruments programmed in real-time without the use of overdubbing. This is the mainstay of this project's energetic live sets, in a style self-hailed as 'Digital Tech Fractures'. The final 'bang' of this project's debut album was added by legendary speedcore producer Bobby Tense at the famous Kevorkian Mastering Studio in New York City. Expect 68 minutes of bass-driven and pounding tech-industrial tracks with distorted and screaming acid-like 303 sounds as extra ingredients. Monkey bites!

Parralox Hotter E.P. £9.00
Review
"Hotter" is the brand new single from PARRALOX, synthpop at its best. Great rhythms, wonderful melodies and finely detailed production and programming from John von Ahlen, with the charismatic vocals of vocalist Amii, make this song a real experience. The production harks back to the Analog days of Shannon (Let The Music Play) but combines the ultra-modern modern programming of today's technology. This single includes remixes that are ready for the dancefloor, as well as a new track "Don't Talk About Love" which will be included on the band's forthcoming album "State Of Decay".

Minusheart Disease £15.25
Review
MINUSHEART is the project of Diver and Benden, begun in 2007. Right from the start they knew that their music would be based on electronic sounds, emotional vocals and with a tendency to unusual melodies and unusual song structures that remind you of NITZER EBB or SKINNY PUPPY. This CD features a smattering of club tracks ("Icehouse", "Don't Feed the Cats") as well as some darker songs like "Future Lies" which is wonderfully intense, bringing to mind the classic industrial bands like SHOCK THERAPY. "Burning Star" is a beautifully written melancholic electro-industrial-pop song and the perfect conclusion to the album. The two musicians create a special sound that plays with the classic elements of electro and EBM music but is always up to date and full of detailed elements that make this album very unique.

Dirk "ACCESSORY" Steyer's mastering makes the MINUSHEART sound all the more powerful and four bonus remixes from FRAGMENT MACHINERY, ACCESSORY, CONFIG.SYY and MONOLITH make an excellent addition to an album that already excellent itself.

Review
EBM is alive! A huge wave continues to roll back through the clubs and the festivals. Terrorfakt Re/Evolution £12.50
Review
A great return for TERRORFAKT, two years after the amazing previous album "Teethgrinder". Acidic and harsh, TERRORFAKT's music is unavoidable. The fast-paced and heavy beats bite at the eardrums and reverberate through the body, blurring the vision and rapidly transporting you to another world. "Re/Evolution" is a looking forward/looking back type of release which features some classic out-of-print TERRORFAKT material, in addition to a few songs that were never officially released, some new remixes and some new studio material. While this may satiate the longing for a new studio album, "Re/Evolution" will also stand on its own as one of TERRORFAKT's best releases.

Kraftwerk Autobahn (Digitally Remastered) £12.50
Review
KRAFTWERK: Electro Pioneers, living legends and globally revered masters of electronic sound, celebrate the 35th anniversary of their landmark 1974 hit "Autobahn" by releasing digitally remastered versions of eight astounding albums, each with updated artwork. Rolling back musical barriers with every forward-thinking phase of their career, Dusseldorf's Zen Masters of electronic minimalism laid the foundations for four decades of computerised pop and dance music. By chain reaction and mutation, they have influenced generations of artists in all genres, mapping musical futures yet to come. From BOWIE to DAFT PUNK, APHEX TWIN to PORTISHEAD, DR DRE to LCD SOUNDSYSTEM, and almost everyone in between, the mark of KRAFTWERK is endless, endless.

In 2009 KRAFTWERK have upgraded their Kling Klang masters with the latest studio technology and these magnificent recordings still sound like nothing else in the history of music. KRAFTWERK are unique, pristine, profound and beautiful. Decades may pass, but their streamlined synthetic symphonies stand outside time, as fresh as tomorrow, transcendent and sublime.

Last Days Of S.E.X. Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive £13.00
Review
After LAST DAYS OF S.E.X.'s debut, "First S.E.X.ual Experience", comes the follow-up from this Greek rhyhtm'n'noise act entitled "Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive". Rhythmic industrial and breakcore are combined into absolutely harsh and complex passages while kicking beats deliver an experience between agitation, provocation and irony. "Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive" narrates stories of restless motion, obsession and and urges through the use of words and sound frequencies. Manos X, the man behind this project, aims not only to create harsh sound atmospheres consisting of distorted rhythmic breaks and noises but also to stimulate the senses through the use of references, to pose questions in order to transfuse inspiration, to wake desire up and to utilize irony as a critical tool.

Heimstatt Yipotash Urban Night Motifs £13.00
Review
HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH's third album, "Urban Night Motifs", is a genius mixture of both danceable electro industrial and electronica-influenced noise-based sound research. With this essential new release, we see a turn away from the deep sea of "Storegga Effect" (2007) and the world wide web within "Perpetual Beta" (2007) back into the action and energy of the streets of urban landscapes. "Urban Night Motifs" tells the story of modern urbanity characterized by the numerous daily news reports of so-called social coexistence without the common glitter and stories of success turning various spotlights on. Spotlights that light up an inapproachable, dismissive, dangerous and crude modern metropolis - inspired by the aesthetics and flair of movies like "Renaissance" and "Sin City". The album, quite possibly the soundtrack to some sort of mental cinema, narrates a very accessible and identifiable story consisting of track titles like "Mindcartridge", "Metro Dwellers" and "Pavement Chicks". Vocal samples and fluid song transitions create anything but a buoyant mood. Despite these uncharming atmospheres, the tracks are very danceable, vivid and forceful. Now turn off all those shiny city lights and get an idea of the "Urban Night Motifs".

Empusae Mortusae £19.75
Review
The "Mortusae" double album is an epic release produced by Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe, aka Sal-Ocin (THIS MORN' OMINA, TZOLK'IN). This amazing album includes new, rare and long-deleted tracks and is a journey through time, regions and atmospheres. "Mortusae" is a retrospective of different periods of EMPUSAE's almost decade-long existence. The album includes rare tracks from early albums which were not released on HANDS (including tracks from the first ever EMPUSAE album), more recent collaborations with close friends, tracks from the legendary Maschinenfest 10 year anniversary performance and comic book soundtracks. All the material has been re-mastered by Mika Goedrijk (THIS MORN' OMINA, POW(D)ER PUSSY). The red line through "Mortusae" and EMPUSAE's essence consists of a dark, melodic, danceable and atmospheric body of electronic music based on the human gift of fantasy. Immerse yourself within its beauty and decay, darkness and melancholy, tribal ceremonies and unearthly misery; enter into oblivion!

David Bowie Space Oddity 40th Anniversary Edition £15.75
Review
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of DAVID BOWIE's "Space Oddity", the album is being released as a special limited edition 2CD.

Produced by Tony Visconti (bar "Space Oddity" itself, which was produced by the late Gus Dudgeon), this album was a giant leap forward in terms of songwriting for Bowie compared to his eponymous debut, and can be considered as the first truly essential DAVID BOWIE album. Noted for a list of collaborators, including session players Herbie Flowers, Tim Renwick, Terry Cox and Rick Wakeman, the album delves into psychedelic folk-rock, as well as prog, with its genre-defying template creating a blueprint for the man who would become, over the next decade and more, one of the most inimitable British artists.

The 2CD version will be released in a digipak with an extensive booklet featuring rare photographs, memorabilia, and will feature sleeve notes and a chronology by Kevin Cann. Disc 1 features the original album remastered from the original analogue master tapes, whilst disc 2 features 15 bonus tracks, of which eight are previously unreleased, including two ultra-rare demos: One of the earliest known demos of "Space Oddity" recorded around January 1969 with John "Hutch" Hutchinson, although exact details of its recording date are unknown. It is previously unreleased and has never been bootlegged. "An Occasional Dream" is again a never-bootlegged and previously unreleased demo recorded with John "Hutch" Hutchinson in March/April 1969.

Oniric Cabaret Syndrome £12.25
Review
ONIRIC are an Italian project founded in 2005 by Carlo De Fillipo and GianVigo (Gianpiero Timbro). From the start of their first spontanious and artistic meeting the resulting compositions were ethereal, dreamy and inspirational. The combination of Carlo's sad chords and smooth dark sound and GianVigo's sonorous and contemplative melodies in their early works created an intimate and nostalgic feel. After a very long and intensive period of live shows and with the collaboration of Simona Giusti in recording sessions and also after several radio broadcasts the duo were signed to the Caustic Records label at the begining of 2009.

The dream-like journey now begins with the release of "Cabaret Syndrome", a melodic exploration dressed in a nostalgic style, touched by the penetrating veil of decadence. Both apocalyptic and futuristic-retro folk atmospheres combine in the air as if to open celestial gates while passing over them before vanishing into the ether caried on the air of long forgotton times... This release is a must for fans of SPIRITUAL FRONT, ARGINE, ROME, CALLE DELLA MORTE, ORDO ROSARIUS EQUILIBRIO and NOVALIS DEUX.

SOUNDCLIPS ADDED THIS WEEK
ADMX-71 Luminous Vapors £13.00
Review
ADMX-71 is a new project created by well known techno producer and DJ, Adam X of Brooklyn NYC, who now resides in Berlin, Germany. This debut album release from ADMX-71 is an incredible, varied and unique masterpiece of contemporary electronica. An hour-long journey of industrialized techno interspersed with deep, atmospheric soundscapes, set to the backdrop of downtempo rhythms. The mood of ADMX-71 weaves its way through darkness, futurism and self-reflection.

Though in a unique style of its own, it's Adam's true love for boundary-pushing music by artists such as MONOLAKE, BIOSPHERE and MIKA VAINIO that have inspired him to create this new project. The result is a deeply introspective soundtrack that seamlessly shifts between the cavernously earthly and the futuristically sci-fi.

Downstairs Left Nothing But Memories £9.75
Review
DOWNSTAIRS LEFT's music is like a beautifully sad shadow that wraps the listerner in a soft melancholy. The songs are full of fateful emotions that are familiar to everyone and from which nobody can hide or walk away. With the very first notes of the EP you find yourself in a world of full of passion and dreams, but a world that is also full of pain and sorrow. But despite all the sadness, the melodies leave you with a feeling of hope - hope that things may change and that it is getting better and that maybe all will be fine in the end. You will go on and on and on and you will never stop.

Cesium_137 Identity £12.75
Review
Here is the long-awaited return of Philadelphia's CESIUM_137. Never an act to stagnate musically, the new album "Identity" finds the band once again pushing the boundaries of electronic music. Seamlessly combining EBM, pop, and trance has been CESIUM_137's modus operandi since their inception, and it quickly becomes evident that they have once again hit their mark. From the opening notes of "Embers", Identity proves to be harder, darker, and more driving than any of C137's previous works, while still delivering the wonderful melodies that have become their signature sound.

Griffonvox Control Lost E.P. £9.75
Review
Charismatic voice, critical lyrics, creative sound arrangements: Lord Athanor, alias A. von Greifenkeil has been thrilling (not only) the Black Scene with his project GREIFENKEIL over the last 4 years. Currently, however this exceptional artist is dedicating himself entirely to his new Electronic New Wave project: GRIFFONVOX. Born out of the live shows which accompanied the GREIFENKEIL album "Blood Mystery", GRIFFONVOX are now debuting their first release of their own: "Control Lost" - a tribute to the JOY DIVISION classic "She's Lost Control". Supported by chant as well as by the expressive performance of The Three Sirens, Lord Athanor presents with GRIFFONVOX a unique mixture of New Wave and performance art.

"Control Lost", a parable about the destruction of nature by mankind, has been additionally visualized with an elaborate video. The sirens Lady A, Lady C and Lady E, hunted and tormented, are a symbolic representation of the frenzied and brutal manipulation of Mother Nature by mankind. In addition to the haunting, audio-visual arrangement, the development of the video (of course included in the EP) is equally remarkable with authentic film material provided for it by the environmental organization GREENPEACE in order to illustrate fully the threat of Global Warming to our planet.

Danceable and bizarre - that is GRIFFONVOX - predestinated for dance-floors. Additional remixes of the GREIFENKEIL classics "Schau Nach Vorn" and "Selling Your Souls" provide material for further dancer, and the renditions here are even more powerful than before.

Copyright pirates will miss a lot: the digipak, which is limited to 700 pieces, comes with an elaborate design-card containing the lyrics of "Beauty Lost" and "Best Time". As usual, GRIFFONVOX provide visual pleasure as well as remarkable music - a gem for the CD collection.

New tracks - plus video - plus remixes: a real must-have for all fans of high-quality music and premium art.

Erasure The Innocents [21st Anniversary Edition] £9.25
Review
Legendary pop heroes ERASURE release a 21st Anniversary edition of their classic album "The Innocents".

Originally released in 1988, "The Innocents" was the first ERASURE album to hit the UK no. 1 spot (first on 30th April 1988 and again in January 1989), a chart-topping position they revisited with each of their next four albums. Featuring the singles "A Little Respect", "Ship of Fools" and "Chains of Love", "The Innocents" was the album that secured their position as one of Britain's most beloved and enduring songwriting duos.

Ultravox U-Vox (Re-Issue) £13.75
Review
Following the sold-out UK tour in April 2009, and subsequent acclaimed festival dates around Europe, ULTRAVOX release the latest of their classic album reissues ahead of further UK dates in November 2009.

"U-Vox" was originally released in 1986. It was the eighth full-length album and the fifth by the band's most recognisable incarnation, fronted by Midge Ure. It was also the last ULTRAVOX album to reach the Top 10 in the UK Album Chart. Following the departure of original drummer Warren Cann, "U-Vox" featured his replacement Mark Brzezicki from BIG COUNTRY. The development of their sound away from electronic rock that was started by "Lament" continued further with this album, and it features some unusual instrumentation, such as the Celtic sound of "All Fall Down" with instrumentation by THE CHIEFTAINS. The album's final track, "All in One Day", was arranged and conducted by George Martin.

This 2CD reissue features the original album digitally remastered plus a bonus disc featuring alternate, extended and live versions, some previously unreleased.

Urceus Exit Compensation for the Sound of Silence £14.75
Review
Of all the sophomore releases we have heard through the years, nothing comes close to what URCEUS EXIT has conjured on "Compensation for the Sound of Silence". As a pop album, the release is unforgettable. For synthpop, it is miles ahead of what is on the market today. Lyrically and musically, frontman Richard Duggan has over-reached and extended the possibilities of electronic pop beyond anyone's wildest expectations. "Compensation for the Sound of Silence" is an epic album that will turn heads with tracks like "Drifting" and "The Worst That We've Become". The listener is engaged and without a doubt every song is a sonic gem. In short, the album is brilliant and needs to be heard.

This limited edition comes complete with a second disc containing alternate versions of every track - versions that give the album a new freshness and a different spin. It comes packaged in a beautifully designed ecopak double wallet.

Psyclon Nine We the Fallen £13.00
Review
The sky's turning black again: after three years of silence, California's PSYCLON NINE return in 2009 with "We the Fallen", their darkest, most aggressive album to date.

Over the course of their previous albums, PSYCLON NINE have continued to evolve into their own sound, implementing elements of industrial, black metal, metal and post-punk influences.

The summer of 2000 saw a match made in heaven when ex-roommates Marshall Carnage and Josef Heresy decided to form PSYCLON NINE. They started out as a guitar-driven industrial band, heavily influenced by the likes of KMFDM and MINISTRY, but the members soon altered their style towards a more aggressive sound. Shortly thereafter, the band came together as a whole when Eric Gottesman, the frontman for SEE COLIN SLASH joined Carnage and Heresy.

In 2003, PSYCLON NINE released their first album "Divine Infekt". This debut gained them popularity very quickly with its extremely fast paced music and lyrics. In 2005, they released their first U.S. album after signing to Metropolis Records. The album, "INRI", featured thirteen tracks of dark, aggressive music with a focus on religious themes. Not an album for the faint of heart, it was an all-out assault on the senses proving that PSYCLON NINE really know how to hit their mark. With a devout hardcore fan base under their control, the band unleashed their next wave of sonic battery in 2006. "Crwn Thy Frnicatr" featured eleven skin-crawling tracks of dark omniscient rhythm, overlaid with haunting melodies and screaming whisper-like vocals.

Now the time has come for "We the Fallen", an intense synth/black metal attack in which PSYCLON NINE have enlisted the help of Jason Miller (GODHEAD) for final tracking and mixing. Dark electro doesn't get much more evil than this.

Obscenity Trial Soulstrip £12.50
Review
OBSCENITY TRIAL mastermind Oliver Wand is back with his third studio album "Soulstrip". It features a total of ten tracks including the singles "Über's Wasser Gehen" and "Glück Auf". Notably, the two singles are the only two songs on the album featuring German lyrics, and both have been very successful on the German radio stations and in the charts. "Soulstrip" is a very good and mature album, well-produced with great electronic pop tunes.

Andreas Gross We Like Ghost Girls £15.25
Review
ANDREAS GROSS and his six-piece band set out to prove yet again that you can play any kind of gothic music like dark wave, heavenly voices or electronic pop without sticking to the typical genre clichés. This album stands out thanks to the amazing arrangements and the beautiful vocals Tabitha Anders, who sounds like a siren singing under water. Her voice is really compelling. Without even hesitating you can easily compare ANDREAS GROSS and his band to the COCTEAU TWINS, THIS MORTAL COIL or early CLAN OF XYMOX.

The tracks on "We Like Ghost Girls" are put feature beautifully sophisticated melodies, complex arrangements and lyrics that are very poetic. Tabitha's vocals, real acoustic elements, strings, loud guitars and organic electro sounds support the poetic lyrics in a perfect way. The album can be described in one sentence: Musical surrealism in search of more general answers.

Eisheilig Imperium £13.75
Review
"Imperium" sees EISHEILIG release a gloomy reckoning with the here and now. More clearly than ever before, they touch on society's sore points, with a call to stand up against a world ruled by ignorance, apathy and manipulated information. This album addresses the dark sides of life which have long become a familiar element. It goes without saying that this kind of subject matter requires a suitable sound. For this reason, the band have produced the album under their own direction for the first time, creating an extremely heavy, sinister recording. Along with the meaningful lyrics, the listener comes to realise after hearing the album a number of times that it is based on a strong musical concept. "Tanzt das Kapital" is a dancefloor hit par excellence, and songs like "Das Letzte Gericht" with its sacral choirs and wafting synthesizers is amazingly deep and moving. "Zeitgeist" and "Lauft", on the other hand, are extremely straightforward, stomping numbers with enormous intensity.

All in all, "Imperium" sounds like the soundtrack to all apocalyptic movies wrapped into one, and yet it is so much more: a dense, extremely realistic album which alienates, makes its listeners think, and moves them. It is definitely a 'political' album, and it's a good thing that in this day and age there are bands, especially on the black scene, who take up a stance and don't shy away from making clear statements.

Jager 90 Drischne Skasal £12.25
Review
E|lec|tro|nic Bo|dy Mu|sic : Electronic Body Music, EBM, is a musical genre that emerged in the early 1980s and is dominated by sequencer lines, impulsive rhythms and slogan-like vocals. EBM is basically characterized by minimalistic structures and is said to be powerful and energetic. Most important is its danceability. With the growing popularity of this musical style, a subcultural youth scene evolved, which has been undergoing a revival in recent years in some parts of Europe, especially in Eastern Germany.

Non|con|for|mism : The term non-conformism is used with different meanings in different fields. The concept describes the non-compliance of the individual opinion of a human being with the dominating opinion, the refusal to conform to standards of a context which can be of social, contentual, ethical or even musical in nature.

Mi|ni|ma|lis|tic : In architecture and arts (including music), minimalism is the reduction to simple and clearly arranged basic structures that are often consecutively repeated. In this way, independent orders have been created with their own rules and laws and operating with opposites such as beginning and end, abundance and emptiness.

Jä|ger 90 : JÄGER 90 is a musical duo from Rostock founded in 2005 by Thoralf Dietrich (vocals and programming) and Stev A. (drums), recently replaced by Vigo Stahlmann. Their musical roots reach back into the early 80s, where the principles of EBM (see above) shaped the body-conscious sound of the three CDs published up until now: "Harte Zeiten" (own production, 2005), "Total Debil" (own production, 2006) and "Muskeln und Küsse" (Electric Tremor Dessau, 2007). The protagonists don't give a shit if this kind of music already existed or not. Thoralf Dietrich is also known for his activities in his side projects and for being the singer of the DAF.Partei (with Robert Görl).

Novakill I Hate God £12.75
Review
After a long hiatus, NOVAKILL return with their best album yet. "I Hate God" builds upon the solid foundation laid by 2005's "Kill Everyone" and their 2003 debut, "Hard Tech for a Hard World", showcasing a more mature sound that has lost none of the edge seen in earlier releases. With new production methods and updated equipment, NOVAKILL deliver a cutting edge sound backed by strong songwriting. From the opening bassline of "Mistaken for God", the sound is instantly NOVAKILL.

This album is so consistently good it's hard to pick stand-outs but "Demonizer" and "We Work" are sure to be club favourites, whilst songs like "Crusad", "Incise" and "Exterminate" show a new-found accessibility and greater depth to NOVAKILL's repetoire, which leaves "Ultrakill", "Blood Elektrik" and the Ultravox cover "Sleepwalk" to continue the band's tradition for stomping Cyberpunk.

As usual, NOVAKILL offer a wealth of bonus material on the CD, including the winners of their "Demonizer" remix competition, wallpaper images for your computer and phone, and a VST instrument plugin, ULTRAkILLER, their most sophisticated synth to date.
