Welcome to our irregular round-up of forthcoming releases. Don't forget, our Post-Infest Sale finishes at the end of September, so grab a bargain soon!
GARY NUMAN returns with a new album "Dead Son Rising", growing out of a set of demos the singer had left from previous projects. Produced and co-written by ADE FENTON, the material ranges from the heavily anthemic, to the Arabic and ghostly, to the brooding "Dead Sun Rising" (please note the different spelling to the album title!). There's also room for two instrumentals, showcasing some of the 'soundtrack-type' material that NUMAN and FENTON have been working on recently. It all adds up to one of his most atmospheric albums to date.
Eight years after their last release, legendary electronic project HAUJOBB's new album "New World March" is finally about to see the light of day! Following the path set by Daniel Myer and Dejan Samardzic with "Dead Market", it clicks, it cuts, it rumbles, it literally electrifies everywhere. "Manipulate the pulse - dominate the beat" is the dictum for the entire album. Everything is as it was - only even better than ever! The album also comes in a very special limited edition... a 2CD version, with an EXCLUSIVE remix-album. Also from HAUJOBB, "Matrix", the double CD originally released in 1997, has finally been re-released.
Since 2004, ANGELSPIT have been one of electronic music's most prolific acts, thrilling audiences the world over with their concoction of industrial-strength guitar riffs, clever hooks and pathologically disturbed synths. "Hello My Name Is..." shows the band has no intention of relenting the glorious pounding brutality that has earned them a reputation for being one of the most innovative alternative bands in the current crop. Synthesizers are slain, drum machines burn and samplers are tortured as vicious guitars and corruptive beats are added to the mix.
ASP's new album is a uniquely intensified blend of all the essential elements which have made ASP what they are today: the foremost German gothic rock project. "Fremd" is a musical reinvention which nevertheless feels so familiar, as if this project had never sounded any different. ASP have never sounded more convincing, the lyrics never more expressive, the music never more substantial. The limited edition of the album comes as a double CD in hardcover book format.
"Children of the Corn" is a gothic-pagan masterpiece of delicate perversion, a whole array of stringed instruments, bells and music-boxes are skilfully employed, combining fragile moments of calm and security with powerful eruptions of dynamic insanity in that typical, unique SOPOR AETERNUS manner. As the crowning finale to the trilogy "A Triptychon of Ghosts" unfolds, the artful expulsion of demons that is "Children of the Corn" once again proves that ANNA-VARNEY CANTODEA is indeed the most important Death-Artist the gothic underground scene has ever brought forth.
Now on their fourth album, the UK's industrial renegades UBERBYTE have shown persistent, even stubborn integrity in their search for a sound that combines directness with originality. "NFY", a landmark in the band's career, is no exception to this rule. UBERBYTE sought to make a stripped down, warm analogue CD; one which shows real breathing space and dynamic in the songs while also being pacey, infectious and fun.
CALVA Y NADA are famous for their dancefloor classics like "Rascheln", "Der Sturm" and "Aufprall". Since all of their releases have completely sold out, fans and collectors are only able to get original copies for incredibly high prices... until now. BLACK RAIN are continuing their series of picture vinyls with CALVA Y NADA's great, innovative and timeless masterpiece "Dias Felizes"! This re-release is strictly limited to 500 copies and contains all the songs from the album released in 19991 on HYPERIUM.
LORDS OF ACID, the legendary Belgian dance-industrial hybrid fronted by acid-house wizard PRAGA KHAN, return with the act's first release in a decade. In advance of the upcoming album, LOA present the sleazy EP "Little Mighty Rabbit". Chock full of LOA's patented brand of rocking electro-sex, the EP features three all-new songs and remixes from KMFDM, CX Kidtronik (ATARI TEENAGE RIOT), Chris Vrenna (NINE INCH NAILS, MARILYN MANSON) and more!
Mastermind Sebastian Komor (ZOMBIE GIRL, KOMOR KOMMANDO) has quite the musical pedigree, having been an original member of legendary EBM act ICON OF COIL. Under the moniker MELT, he creates a raw, aggressive blend of full-on industrial rife with electro-EBM hooks and machine-gun rhythms. "Emissions of Hypocrisy" shows once again that Komor's talents are not confined to any one subgenre.
MONOLITH is the conceptual solo project of Belgian electronic music veteran and producer Eric van Wonterghem, famous for his elaborate electronic music arrangements which speak to both body and mind. His seventh album release contains twelve all-new tracks that take you on an exciting and weird journey through electronic and industrial landscapes, each time incorporating new exotic elements. The album also includes stunning remixes from GEISTFORM, LUSTMORD, ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO and SYNAPSCAPE.
JULIEN-K (Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh from ORGY) released their debut album, "Death to Analog", in 2009 (we're a bit late with this one!!), melding their passion for electronic music and explosive live rock. According to Derakh, "We are this sort of hybrid of an electronic band and a rock band, which ORGY was as well, but we're actually skewed more electronic".
Other featured releases this week include the new album from ENGELSSTAUB "Nachwärts", their first in 12 years!; a 2CD offering from DISTORTED MEMORY "Archive + Hand of God"; and "H.Y.Breed", the 2CD remix album from HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH.
K-NITRATE are back with "Stark Punkt", a remix companion to last year's storming "Voltage" album; Swedish electronic pop-noir trio LOWE return with their new album "Evolver"; and NEEDLE SHARING release their third full-length album "Gang Bangs!".
PANKOW's "Kunst & Wahnsinn" and PARANOID's "I Still Dominate You" make a return as part of INFACTED RECORDINGS classics series; PROJECT ROTTEN are back with a darker and more aggressive album called "Cinema Bizzare"; and TORUL unleash the electropop MCD "Partially Untamed".
And finally, Mixmag have released a cheap 2CD selection of classic 80s hits with the compilation "Elektro Diskow".

Review "Glamour is made of a substance called 'incredibly hard f*cking work'"- ANGELSPIT.
For ANGELSPIT, nothing can be truer. Since 2004, they have been one of electronic music's most prolific acts, thrilling audiences the world over with their concoction of industrial-strength guitar riffs, clever hooks and pathologically disturbed synths.
From the opening assault on the stifling modern 9-5 work world of "Cubicle", the glitch-dance rhythms of "Vermin", the snarling sarcasm of the 8-bit tinged "Defibrillator" and the crushing percussion of "Jailbait", "Hello My Name Is...", like the band itself, is a non-stop audio assault on all the things that hold back creativity and freedom of expression.

| Asp |
Fremd |
|
|
£16.25 |
 |
Review ASP's new album is a uniquely intensified blend of all the essential elements which have made ASP what they are today: the foremost German gothic rock project. Asp Spreng, singer, composer, lyricist, and the heart and mind behind the project, takes the listener by the hand in the manner of a mysterious stranger and leads you into a dark kingdom without, however, allowing you to sink into hopelessness. As he searches for the shades of melancholy, ASP evokes a powerful spell which makes an enchanted as well as disturbing experience from the epically long pieces. The album wafts like a wisp of spectral fog from an English moor in Victorian times across the cold streets of today.
"Fremd" is a musical reinvention which nevertheless feels so familiar, as if this project had never sounded any different. It is a musical and lyrical coup which boasts an additional highlight owing to the spectacular cover artwork by Timo Würz. His artwork will enrich the first part of the "Fremd" cycle with a graphical style never before achieved. But as sombre, unsettling, teeth-baring, melancholy and plaintive as "Fremd" may be, the twinkle of an eye can likewise be sensed once again, a subtle humour nevertheless resonating between the lines like a strong, emotionally-charged intimacy when ASP bares his emotions for the listener. He has never sounded more convincing, the lyrics never more expressive, the music never more substantial. A new era has begun – and never before has it been so worth the wait.
The 'regular' edition of the album comes in digibook format, with a 28-page booklet, semi-gloss art print, and spot varnishing!

Review The limited edition of the album comes as a double CD in hardcover book format (14x21cms) with Singer sewn signatures, a 40-page booklet on art print including all lyrics and additional artwork. It also comes with a hand-numbered certificate of authenticity, personally signed by ASP. For the bonus CD, ASP wanted a very different feel, and so recorded some tracks, added some new additional ones and rearranged them. In addition, a cover version of the Nik Kershaw classic "Wouldn't It Be Good" is to be heard in two magnificent versions. The CD also features two videos: one of ASP's legendary appearance with SUBWAY TO SALLY, performing "Ich Will Brennen" as a pure rock anthem, and the other of latest single "Wechselbalg", performed at the frenetically celebrated co-headlining appearance at 2011's M'Era Luna festival.

Nachwärts |

£17.25 |

Review "Nachtwärts" is a constructed German word, which could be loosely translated as 'towards the night'. And indeed, the first all-new ENGELSSTAUB album in twelve years (the previous album "Anderswelt" was released in 1999!!!) is an extremely dark and romantic piece of art. ENGELSSTAUB have previously released three extremely successful albums and established themselves in the 90s as one of the leading acts on the medieval/ethereal/neoclassical/neofolk/heavenly voices scene!
The horizon shelters the sunlight which gives way to the approaching night, devouring and monochrome. But as monochrome the approaching dark seems to be, we never lose our view for the hidden, placing trust in our eyes and ears, nothing is unfamiliar to us... It feels as if in some clear night the last rays of sunshine would light the stars to fire and calm our eyes. Soft tunes flatter our ears and promise: you're not alone!
Deep spheres embrace secret voices, driven by ominous drums, laid down in deepest black, hailing the creatures of the night welcome. Let ENGELSSTAUB guide you towards the night!

| Gary Numan |
Dead Son Rising |
|
|
£12.75 |
 |
Review GARY NUMAN returns this autumn with a new album "Dead Son Rising". This particular release grew out of a set of demos the singer had left from previous projects, but as he explains: "The original ideas that sparked off these songs are now barely visible. It's grown into another animal, something more experimental." Produced and co-written by ADE FENTON ( Numan's collaborator on 2006's Jagged), the material ranges from the heavily anthemic "The Fall" (written about 'an old friendship gone bad') to the Arabic and ghostly "We Are the Lost" and one of the standout moments, the brooding "Dead Sun Rising" (please note the different spelling to the album title!) The latter both contain elements from a sci-fi fantasy story Numan has been writing over the last few years.
Meanwhile, troubled relationships are explored on "For the Rest of my Life" and "Not the Love We Dream Of", and there's also room for two instrumentals ("Resurrection" and "Into Battle"), showcasing some of the 'soundtrack-type' material that Numan and Fenton have been working on recently. It all adds up to one of Numan's most atmospheric albums to date – one for those who loved his B-Side experiments in the past but also containing some very direct, streamlined electronic rock in the likes of "Big Noise Transmission", "The Fall" and "When the Sky Bleeds, He Will Come".
Numan also continues to work on the 'bulldozer, riff-fest' of his next album "Splinter" which remains his priority release next year. He's also collaborated with BATTLES on their new single, "My Machines", and plays the "Nightmare Before Christmas" ATP Festival which BATTLES are hosting on 10 December. As the NME argues, "Numan's influence on electronic music is unparalleled". He's been namechecked as an influence by everyone from KANYE WEST to FOO FIGHTERS and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, and an ever-growing list of artists have covered and sampled his music. These range from BASEMENT JAXX to DAMON ALBARN; AFRIKA BAMBAATAA to RZA and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan.

Review In 2011, HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH celebrate their tenth birthday – and the duo from Dresden have invited no less than twenty-one acts who they have met throughout their career, have a strong personal relationship with or feel influenced by. As good hosts, they let the guests have most of the fun this time and make available tracks covering their entire lifespan to remix – while keeping only two tracks for themselves.
Why two, you might ask? Well, two tracks for two entitities, as the birth of HY in 2001 was actually a fusion of HEIMSTATT and YIPOTASH, who had started their creative endeavours separately, both doing live performances and self-releasing limited CD-Rs, with which they still continued even after their first joint efforts. Since then, this true "H.Y.Breed" band has spawned three albums, performed a number of concerts and festival gigs and been active in various side projects such as the 8-bit retro NO GO! and S?X ONLY.

| Julien K |
Death to Analog |
|
|
£14.25 |
 |
Review JULIEN-K's Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh have eaten from the vine of rock stardom. As members of ORGY, Shuck and Derakh experienced platinum success, sold-out tours, and the feeling of hearing one of their songs constantly on the radio thanks to multiple top 10 hits, including "Fiction" and "Stitches", and their ubiquitous cover of New Order's "Blue Monday", a track whose universal appeal led it to become #1 on the Dance Music chart, a top five on the Modern Rock chart, and a crossover hit on the Top 40 pop charts.
As someone who's lived rock stardom, Shuck, who handles vocals in JULIEN-K, wonders where it is today. "Why is there no band that's really rocking my world?", Shuck asks. "Where are the revolutionaries? Where is the band that's doing that? I haven't seen any bands stirring that up, bringing a new look, a new everything, kids buying guitars because they want to sound like that band. I'm not seeing that at all."
But rather than sit and bemoan what's missing, Shuck, along with Derakh and fellow JULIEN-K mates Brandon Belsky, on keyboards, and Elias Andra, drums, plans to do something about it. "With JULIEN-K that's what I'm going for. I don't give a shit about sales. I give a shit about making a wave", Shuck says.
And the wave began with the release of the band's debut album, "Death to Analog", co-produced by Derakh (whose production and engineering resume includes COAL CHAMBER, THE EELS and DANZIG, as well as remixes for MOTOR, MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE, and LINKIN PARK's Chester Bennington) and Anthony "FU" Valcic (SKINNY PUPPY, DOWNLOAD, MARILYN MANSON). Throughout "Death to Analog", JULIEN-K meld their passion for electronic music and explosive live rock. According to Derakh, "We are this sort of hybrid of an electronic band and a rock band, which ORGY was as well, but we're actually skewed more electronic", he says. "I think deep down inside we really felt that we had always wanted the band to go in the direction of what we’re doing now. That was the initial thought behind ORGY, to become an electronic band that could play with the likes of the rock bands", he adds.

| K-Nitrate |
Stark Punkt |
|
|
£8.00 |
 |
Review K-NTRATE formed in the early 90s and released their cult debut album "Xenophobia" in 1994 before collaborating with some of the industrial scene's leading artists including C-TEC and HEXEDENE. They have been at the vanguard of the UK's Industrial/electronic scene, and "Stark Punkt" is a relentlessly kinetic reminder of what made them so great originally.
As a remix companion to last year's storming "Voltage" album (released on Advoxya Records), this album has its sights set squarely on the dancefloor. With no concession to prevailing fads or trends, "Stark Punkt" displays a purity of purpose in its sublimation to the relentless rhythmic pulse that burns through its nine tracks. A distillation of K-NITRATE in their rawest essence, this new release follows the band's ten year hiatus from playing live. Such is the sense of purpose within the K-NITRATE camp that to celebrate this release they are finally returning to the live circuit.
Having previously featured the more traditional approach of guitar and vocals at the forefront of the live show, the duo now prefer to let the technology, and the music, do the talking, thus placing the emphasis on live keyboards and samplers to suit their harder, club-based sound.
Whilst vocals are largely absent from "Stark Punkt", particular mention must go to the guest appearance of Douglas (Dog) Sudia (of US coldwave act [U][C][N][X]) on the searing "Hate in the States", a laser-guided shot of bile aimed directly at the heart of capitalist America.

Review LOWE are back with the new synth-disco album "Evolver".
The Swedish electronic pop-noir trio LOWE have landed a large number of big hits in Scandinavia and elsewhere with their unforgettable singles and – so far – two regular albums (plus the "Tenant Remixed" album). LOWE were founded founded in 2002 by two of the members of electropop institution STATEMACHINE.
Their latest (digial only) single "Breathe In Breathe Out" went straight to Number 1 on the iTunes Alternative Charts in Sweden. Like its predecessors, the new album features a high density of potential hit-singles – it's amazing to listen to such a great collection of simply perfect electro-pop pearls on ONE album!
The much-anticipated new album "Evolver" has also turned out to be "our darkest
album so far..." according to Leo Josefsson, lead singer in LOWE, whilst bass player Rickard Gunnarsson announces "...a mixture of mono-synths and disco ballads".
"It was time to discover new territories. We've been experimenting a lot with the sound and the songs even though 'Evolver' is our most homogenic album to date", says keyboardist Tobias Ersson.

Review Mastermind Sebastian Komor (ZOMBIE GIRL, KOMOR KOMMANDO) has quite the musical pedigree, having been an original member of legendary EBM act ICON OF COIL along with a slew of his own projects, remixes and production work. Under the moniker MELT, he creates a raw, aggressive blend of full-on industrial rife with electro-EBM hooks and machine-gun rhythms. "Emissions of Hypocrisy" shows once again that Komor's talents are not confined to any one subgenre.

Review NEEDLE SHARING are back!
Following a creative pause, during Roland Danielzig put his project on hiatus in order to pursue other creative interests, NEEDLE SHARING return to centre stage in 2011. Marking the twentieth anniversary of the project, German underground heavy weight Hands Productions releases their third full-length album "Gang Bangs!"
Along with the relaunch of the project, NEEDLE SHARING has seen the addition of long-time friend and partner in other projects, Sascha Turtur, as a full-time and permanent member. Bringing his own creative energy and intricate production knowledge to the mixing desk, the sum of Roland and Sascha's energy adds up to more than just their parts combined.
"Gang Bangs!" is a true monster of an album, taking you on a tour de force covering the entire twenty years of creative influences and inspiration. NEEDLE SHARING's trademark Rave Energy is boosted by current production technology, incorporating influences by artists such as NOISIA, SPOR, CHASE and STATUS, END.USER and BONG-RA.
The album kicks off with "All Links Are Dead", an uptempo stepper with a sampled raga vocal deep in the mix and a seductive melody. Equally irresistible is the dubstep-infused "Medizin", revealing a new facet of NEEDLE SHARING. A potential crossover hit is the almost-rave "Knocked Out", featuring vocals by none other than Industrial veteran (and now Breakcore wizard) Patrick Stevens aka HYPNOSKULL!
Tracks like "Corporate Whore" and "Fukushima Disco" bear more aggression and a kind of digital darkness that is a rather new feature for this project. So prepared, one plunges into the rest of the album with the tracks increasingly oscillating between catchy and abrasive – but somehow the mixture seems strangely, perfectly right.
In the process of delivering a top notch production-value listening experience, NEEDLE SHARING prove that breakcore can be and, in this instance is, most definitely dancefloor compatible, including heavy basslines and the mighty wobble...
Stroke your chins to this, nerds!

| Pankow |
Kunst & Wahnsinn |
|
|
£9.50 |
 |
Review 'Art & Madness' is without a doubt one of the most thrilling songs in EBM history! Not only it was the FIRST EVER release on the now legendary ZOTH OMMOG label, but it also laid the foundation for the international breakthrough of a project/band that had been in existance since 1979.
Coming all the way from Italy, PANKOW are responsible for injecting the punk edge into electronic music! While the project was highly successful in their home country during the 80s, it was only with the album "Freiheit für die Sklaven" (1987) and the 12" single "Kunst & Wahnsinn" (1988) that they got known across the borders. The years between 1989 and 1993 saw the band at the peak of their success, with tours all over the world (including 28 dates in the USA and Canada) and their albums being licensed by labels such as Wax Trax and Roir (USA), Play it Again Sam and KK Records (Belgium), Technodrome International, Zoth Ommog and Cash Beat (Germany) and many others. Furthermore, PANKOW were the first electro/industrial band to release an album 'behind the Iron Curtain', in the Czech Republic in 1991 ("Svobody!")
PANKOW excel at combining the 'art' of sampling and entertainment with a massive part of musical 'madness'. Scene classics such as "Sickness Taking Over", "Wet" (an early version of "Me and My Ding-Dong"!), "Touch", "Gimme More", "Girls'n'Boys" and of course "Kunst und Wahnsinn" have become all time classics!
Infacted Recordings now pay tribute to this fabulous electronic band headed by Maurizio Fasolo as part 24 of their classics series classics series. And Fasolo himself chose and remastered all twelve songs on this CD masterpiece! A true must-have for all fans of EBM and electronic music in general, this CD presents classic tunes as well as unreleased and rare material and is, as always, limited to only 1000 copies worldwide! So be fast to get your hands on this outstanding piece of art!

| Project Rotten |
Cinema Bizarre |
|
|
£12.00 |
 |
Review PROJECT ROTTEN are Fredrik Croona (vocals, lycrics) and Kettil Sundberg (music). The band was founded in 2009, but after releasing their debut album "The Freakshow", frontman and grey eminence behind the band Fredrik decided to move in the direction of change a little, stopping his membership of the electro project MENSCHDEFEKT.
And now PROJECT ROTTEN are back with a darker and more aggressive album called "Cinema Bizzare". "Cinema Bizzare" is the next step in the evolutionary chain of PROJECT ROTTEN, and adds a more twisted, aggressive and raw touch to the music. The new sound is very similar to that of horror movie soundtracks, and focuses on taking you on a trip descending into madness.
The mastering of the release was been done by Sander Kapper (of STAHLBLACK PRODUCTIONS) and for the graphics, artist Alexander Fröebel has once again created a sick artwork for the band. The album also features guest vocalists from SUICIDE COMMANDO and PREEMPTIVE STRIKE 0.1.

Childern of the Corn |
|
|
£54.50 |
 |
Review Ghosts are walking balefully through the blood-red cornfield, where our Black Goddess - the fabulous, transgendered Saint-Varney-of-the-Dead - is celebrating the third chapter of her magical sexorcism in a dark ritual of ultimate neutralisation. Her gentle, claw-like hands are brandishing a rusty, old castration sickle, while she herself, as the purest incarnation of loveliest maidenhood, intones childlike phantasies of innocent masturbation with the voice of a broken angel.
In this gothic-pagan masterpiece of delicate perversion, a whole array of stringed instruments, bells and music-boxes are skilfully employed, combining fragile moments of calm and security with powerful eruptions of dynamic insanity in that typical, unique SOPOR manner.
This Limited CD Digibook edition comes as a satanic children's storybook (approximately 140mm x 155mm in size). The hardcover book is finished with black linen, embossed with black and red hot foil blocking and printed on 150g art paper. It is wrapped in a jute bag with a cord and a black logo printed on the back, and sealed with a solid SOPOR AETERNUS metal coin in 'antique bronze' look. Hand-numbered, and personally signed by Anna-Varney Cantodea; strictly limited to 1999 copies.

| Syntech |
P'Som Sett |
|
|
£14.50 |
 |
Review Two years after their well-received debut "Rising from the Ashes", SYNTECH release their sophomore album. The cover already displays the dichotomy that is the core issue of "P'som Sett", the struggle of nature against the forces of industry – which is most dangerously manifest in the global destruction of rainforests (and the species living within) for the sake of profit.
Musically this is reflected in an impulsive clash of tribal beats vs machine rhythms, imbedded into dark atmospheres. The album starts with the gloomy perspective of the downbeat "Blackest Night Sirens". "Labyrinth" contains all the features of "P'som Sett" in a nutshell: a wild tempest of beats and percussions, relentlessly pushing the tune forward, while a claustrophobic atmosphere permeates the mind – cinematic and threatening! "Shy" has an almost triphop-like vibe, while the title track is a more straightforward option for the industrial dance floor, as well as the electro-infused "Voltage Boost".
Throughout the album you will find a lot of diversion through change of rhythmic pace, ethno-flavoured percussive stretches and melodic fragments deep in the mix. "Whiteout" seems to lead the the release towards a more quiet ending, before the closing title "Is Not My Problem" assaults the listener with a dehumanized clutter of noise that devours all structure.
Whereas "Rising from the Ashes" had been a rhythmic monolith that clearly disclosed the association with industrial outfit GREYHOUND through the dominance of looped, pounding beats, SYNTECH now move further into a territory of their own with "P'som Sett". This album manages to take the listener on a 78-minute journey that never gets tiring and offers some surprises en route. And - repeated listening is recommended in order to discover all the little details to be found within!

| Uberbyte |
NFY |
|
|
£12.00 |
 |
Review Now on their fourth album, the UK's industrial renegades UBERBYTE have shown persistent, even stubborn integrity in their search for a sound that combines directness with originality. "NFY", a landmark in the band's career, is no exception to this rule.
Mixed at Sheffield's legendary Steelworks Studio (formerly FON studios) the band opted to immerse themselves in the city and its history of electronic music pioneers. Bands such as THE HUMAN LEAGUE and CABARET VOLTAIRE. FON was also a key site in the development of UK dance music, with acts like 808 STATE laying down breakthrough tracks there.
With an eye on this legacy, UBERBYTE sought to make a stripped down, warm analogue CD; one which shows real breathing space and dynamic in the songs while also being pacey, infectious and fun. It is, in short, a thoroughly British-sounding record, rooted in the traditions of the home of classic electronic music while imbued with a modern sensibility.
Indeed, some of the styles utilised can only be described as unexpected. You'll find nods to underground hardcore acts, like NEOPHYTE, mixing with mainstream techno influences and even trance. Yet fans of NACHTMAHR, AND ONE and COMBICHRIST will also find familiar themes. The album is homogenous and curiously eclectic at the same time. Mixed and mastered to be warm and powerful while crystal clear and almost fragile. Not over-compressed or two-dimensional.
It's a labour of love. Nothing less. No compromises made or asked.
Enjoy.

Review
Since their founding in 1999, ASP have dedicated their career to their burning passion for the gothic culture, a never-ceasing sacrifice for their art and matchless fan dedication... all of them qualities vainly sought in other projects of that reputation. Now, in 2011, they continue their course with the long-awaited new single "Wechselbalg" ('Changeling'), the first messenger from the approaching prelude of the "Fremd" album cycle.
Fascinating, dark, deep-reaching, elegiac... true to the basic maxims of their opus and their passionately-loved scene, the history of one of Germany's most distinguished indie projects is finally continued - with a total of four new tracks impressively underlining how intense music can sound if being lived thoroughly. The title track "Wechselbalg" ignites the fire in the hearts of the scene to a blazing conflagration and presents itself as a pushing goth rock anthem. Unmistakably ASP, and a mercilessly catchy tune. With the subsequent, monumental "Angstkathedrale" ('Cathedral of Fear'), ASP deliver an utterly stunning masterpiece, a darkly visionary word-sound creation of utter severity and emotional depth. This piece is melancholy turned flesh and the musical as well as lyrical proof that ASP have created their very own niche: 'Gothic Novel Rock' in perfection. With "BaldAnders", ASP pay tribute to one of the most influential medieval rock groups of the 70s: OUGENWEIDE. The unusual track is dedicated to the band and their founder Frank Wulff who regrettably died on March 19th 2010. The fourth and final song is a true treasure and has been dug up from heavily-guarded secret archives: "Dancing". Recorded four years prior to the foundation of the band, this tender acoustic piece shows just how long the songwriter has been haunted by his demons.
Where countless other bands have strayed from their original path long ago to taste from the pots of the 'superstars', ASP deliver a musical diet that may be more difficult to digest but is much more nourishing. It is beyond doubt that ASP will also continue their triumphant march outside the scene - among friends of intelligent German rock music. An independent icon possessed by the unquenchable urge to create from which certain major projects could cut a slice or two. And would, if allowed to...

Review
JÄGER 90 play Electronic Body Music. Raw, no-frills and hand-made, without computers and the aid of a safety net. On their third long player, aptly titled "Fleisch Macht Böse", they wrap up social criticism, your daily madness, fetish, love and inter-personal affairs in lashing electro beats and mercilessly thumping sequencers, in the best DAF tradition. Meat creates evil, humanity is going nuts and sex is war - with polished combat boots and always keeping an eye on the bass level, JÄGER 90 slam dance at the edge of the apocalypse, while the rest go down smiling over a glass of champagne.
"Fleisch Macht Böse" is the perfect alternative draft to the average hit-formula, computer-bred vapourware they try to sell you as the next big thing. Honest, German-language electronic music to stimulate legs, brains and muscles.

The Pleasures of the Damned |

Review
The gripping powernoise/industrial/EBM/experimental/electronic/IDM/etc. project MANUFACTURA stems from the mind of Karloz M, one of the most controversial figures in the modern rhythmic noise scene. If parts of his reputation can be disputed, however, his talent cannot. For over 10 years now, he has been behind some of the most creative, genre-pushing explorations of power noise, ranging from the straightforward club-killers, to gritty and atmospheric moods and lyrically-driven EBM crossovers.
"The Pleasures of the Damned" is a collection of some of the best work released by MANUFACTURA during that period. What makes this particular collection even more special is the fact that the tracks featured were exclusively selected by none other then the fans, listeners and followers of MANUFACTURA's music, specifically for the fans and other listeners throughout the world. The album spans from classic club hits such as "Killing You" and "Sex and Suicide", to the darker soundscapes of "Cut by Loving Hands" and "Die for Me" and the most recent hits "Defile the Chastity of Your Flesh" and "The Whore's Lullaby". Brought together, these tracks tell a sordid tale of madness, violence, love, hate, sex and the insanity of it all.
Known for mixing various different styles together, MANUFACTURA once again present us with a release befitting of their varied styles which also includes two brand new and previously unreleased tracks, entitled "Vanishing in the Night" and "The Saint of Violence". Whether you're a long time avid listener or simply just discovering MANUFACTURA this collection will definitely leave its mark on you. PLAY LOUD!

Review
PAKT is: Chris Ruiz and Gio van Oli, two electro veterans that will probably ring a bell with most people close to the scene.
PAKT is: darn stirring music probing the frontiers of EBM and electropop.
PAKT is: heart, voice and mayhem.
Right on time for their debut gig at the M'Era Luna Festival in August 2011, PAKT are dishing up their first single "Freiheit", an electronic anthem that unleashes an onslaught of sly grins, massive bass, friendly aggression, ironic paroles and catchy melodies on a society that is going increasingly soft in the head. A dancefloor-compatible coup that encourages thinking and is perfect for letting go, singing along and going wild, "Freiheit" comes as a massive single version and in two clubby remixes. The "Freiheit" single is topped off with the mighty B-Side smash "Angriff".
It is time for a friendly takeover. It is time for ... the PAKT! Don't dream it, be it!

Should the World Fail to Fall Apart |

Review
"Should the World Fail to Fall Apart" is the first album by the British solo artist PETER MURPHY, formerly of the gothic rock band BAUHAUS. It was released in 1986 and is a collection of singles written and recorded in 1986 with L. Howard Hughes with hopes of finding Peter a post-BAUHAUS identity other than the 'Godfather of Goth'. The album displays a side to PETER MURPHY that is rarely heard as the songs are very romantic and out of the mainstream. The sounds are soft and orchestrated, the lyrics are poetic and deep, the atmosphere is spacious, and the general tone is somber and reflective. The re-issue of this classic album comes with a second disc of bonus material, as well as new sleeve notes and an enhanced booklet.

Review
After their wild ride through the continuum, PROJECT PITCHFORK dedicate themselves to quantum mechanics - and casually discover time travel along the way!
As was the case in 2010 with the surprising dark electro smash "Continuum Ride", PROJECT PITCHFORK have again started the engines in utter secrecy to continue their unparalleled history of success with "Quantum Mechanics".
As if the opulent retrospective "First Anthology" has not already been a huge treat, the dark electro titans take the festivities surrounding their 20th anniversary one step further and present an album that is nothing less than a quantum leap, vehemently stirring the space-time continuum. It's as though the extensive work for the recently released compilation caused a chain reaction of hitherto unknown proportions, causing PROJECT PITCHFORK to enter an era of unparalleled creativity and deliver a massive dark electro meltdown as versatile as seldom before - an unbeatable time travel through the past, present and future of dark electronics that will instantaneously rise to the top of PROJECT PITCHFORK's aureate album cosmos.
Barely one year after "Continuum Ride", PROJECT PITCHFORK prove that a band can reinvent themselves, even after two decades, and that artistic evolution is not a thing restricted to newcomers. Quite the opposite: under the electronic shell, the partly mechanically sterile, partly fantastically ambivalent album shows both the impressive muscles of long-running experience and a knack for big emotions. With the perfect balance between the endless infinity of space and the warmth of humanity, it will reconcile followers of the early PROJECT PITCHFORK cult albums with their contemporary sound universe more than even before.
Radical, edgy and aggressive as in "Radical Business", melancholic and dark as in the title track or iconic and masterly as in "Freeze in Silence" that should be passed as the new basic law of dark electro, "Quantum Mechanics" stays true to its title and proves to be a darkly electronic transit into a new era. Superior, visionary and deeply fascinating - PROJECT PITCHFORK get better every year!
The Limited 2CD Deluxe Special Edition includes a double CD in book format (approx 14x21cm), with two exclusive tracks, three exclusive remixes and one exclusive instrumental version of "Quantum Mechanics". There is also a 40-page extra booklet, precious artprint on high-quality paper, including all lyrics and additional artwork. Strictly limited to 2000 copies - order fast!

Review
When looking at a 'sound of Frankfurt' retrospective, you will always stumble across one name: RaHen, better known as Ralf Henrich. His projects such as MOSKWA TV, PROJECT ONE and AXODRY have established his reputation all over the world as as one of the first techno, new beat or so called EBM producers from Frankfurt.
With about seven singles and the well-recieved album "The Cyber Space", ROBOTIKO REJECTO became another flagship of the production talent that is Ralf Henrich's work. He also produced the first releases by well known artists such as TRIBANTURA, BRIGADE WERTHER, BIGOD 20, AIRCRASH BUREAU, LEÆTHER STRIP and FEW BOYS.
Time to take a historic look at the first three ROBOTIKO singles then... "Rejekto!", "Umsturz Jetzt!" and "Confusion", all produced with Talla 2XLC. These three masterpieces, including bonus mixes, have now been compiled and digitally remastered by RaHen to be released as part of the Infacted Recordings Classics Collection. The release is strictly limited to 1000 units and is a sort of a pre-release to the bands 'comeback' within 2011! Yes, ROBOTIKO REJECTO will be back in 2011! Time for "Umsturz - JETZT!"

Jolly Roger |

£15.00 |

Review
This is not a drill. Lock up your women and kids... and best put the men in there too: the SANTA HATES YOU barge has been sighted at sea! Sailing under the proudly hissed skull banner "Jolly Roger", the anarchistic electro pirates are aimly directly for the coast. And this time, mercy is entirely out of the question.
In the course of the past few years, Peter Spilles and Jinxy have quickly progressed from being just another newcomer to an undefeatable, feared electro fleet whose appearance only recently caused "P.A.N.I.C." far and wide. Still, this was only a foretaste of the missions they have written in their logbook this time. With madness, malignity and macabre humour on board, SANTA HATES YOU mercilessly plough the electro world and are delighted to board every single club exhibiting the carelessness to withstand their merciless electro torpedos. Come on, be their guest - even Jack Sparrow could use some of their rebellious fighting spirit. Prepare to be boarded!
No stone will be left standing once the SANTA HATES YOU fleet has moved along. More massive, more versatile and more possessed than ever before, the inseparable duo plunders, pillages and fights through the club landscape and offers the perfect symbiosis of hard-hitting electro, epic choruses and an extra strong seasoning of spooky lunacy that has always been so becoming for them. Just take the gripping club monument "Nothing's Gonna Be Alright", the hypnotic noise manifest "Das Leben Fügt Ihnen und den Menschen in Ihrer Umgebung Erheblichen Schaden Zu", the refreshingly absurd "Watch Out Motherf*cker, I Know Karate" or the edgy, seducing "The Monster in the Maze" - no one beats SANTA HATES YOU when it comes to club-oriented innovation, black humor and insane waywardness.
Beautiful, cruel and superior as the sea; malignant, perfidious and somber as the thrashing tentacles of a giant squid... "Jolly Roger" makes all other electro projects look like bloody amateur pirates. Hoist the colours!

Review
The second chapter of the trilogy "A Triptychon Of Ghosts - or: El Sexorcismo de Anna-Varney Cantodea".
It's dark, it's sad and it's ... so beautiful.
ANNA-VARNEY CANTODEA's art is always like the forgotten soundtrack to a phantastic, gothic horror film that was never meant for a human audience to see ... and this album is certainly no exception: building a bridge from the dark chamber-music of the transitory death-suite of "Dead Lovers' Sarabande" to the playful frivolity of "A Strange Thing to Say", this highly anticipated second chapter of the trilogy "A Triptychon of Ghosts" marvellously captures the true essence of what once used to be called goth, with our beloved Goddess ANNA-VARNEY CANTODEA travelling on her lonely journey through the realms of darkness beyond the grave. This is definitely THE BEST ALBUM she has created so far!

STEINKIND, the so called 'Enfants Sauvages' of Germany's electro scene are definitely back! The new single "Es Muss" is an appetizer for their highly anticipated third album, "Etappe 011", due in June 2011.
Again, STEINKIND verify that electro, punk and dancemusic can be an astonishingly good mélange. "Es Muss" kicks ass, without being a smart-ass! A modern peak time production with state-of-the-art sound design combined with German lyrics far beyond mainstream nonsense. None other than Oliver Chesler, aka THE HORRORIST, was asked to do an 80s inspired remix for this track! All other versions, done by STEINKIND production wizard PHIL J himself are also made to please DJs all over Europe. All in all, a great little teaser from STEINKIND, to shorten waiting for their upcoming album. 100% STEINKIND, 100% rip-off free!

Review
London-based industrial band SYSTEM:FX are back with a new line-up and a new sound for their second EP. "Overdrive" barrels away with its pacey, bass-driven energy for the whole release. The loud vocals of frontman Steve come across as somewhere midway between the gravelly singing of Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM and the shouted chants of NITZER EBB's Douglas McCarthy. This sandwiched between some spectacular guitar segments, well-balanced speedy keys, heavy beats and samples make SYSTEM:FX's new EP an effective and satisfying blend of new and old school EBM industrial. Title track "Overdrive" is splendidly mixed and surely bound to be a club hit. "Destroyer" has the same sense of bouncy bleepy club-friendly keys with the sinister urgency of many a modern EBM track. "F.K.D" is an entertaining, minimal, club-friendly sample-driven track that pays homage to Geoffrey Rush's role as the Marquis De Sade in "Quill"s.
Remixes from some of the scene's favourite names round out the EP. The IMPLANT mix of "Destroyer" has a dark urgency and higher pitch, subduing SYSTEM:FX's old school sensibilities and adding some impressive drum lines. German industrial club gods STRAFTANZ pump up the oontz for a deep bassy chopped up break version of 'F.K.D' that is a drastic diversion from the original. The final Caustic mix tackles the title track, "Overdrive" which is, appropriately enough, a bit more coarse with crunchy added percussion.

Review
The Canadian group THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE have become one of the most popular scene-related bands of the past decade, with an energetic mix of 80s electronica, aggressive walls of guitar riffs, and catchy, cinematic melodies coupled with a mesmerizing visual concept and a sweeping live presence. On the band's new EP "Imaginary Monsters", teenage angst, daily horrors and the proverbial monsters-under-the-bed are being funnelled into three irresistible, new alternative pop epics walking the tightrope between gothic, metal and new wave. Furthermore, five colleagues have been invited to develop their own perspective on the group's songs: SKOLD, COMBICHRIST, TWEAKER, ASSEMBLAGE 23, and KEVVY MENTAL & DAVE OLGIVIE deliver their own highly creative and club-compatible spins on classic tracks from THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE. As a special bonus, the EP also contains a data track with a HD-resolution version of the elaborate clip for "In the Dark".

Stahl Disko/Stahl Compilation Volume 1 |
|
|
£12.50 |
 |
Review
"Stahl Disko" is one of the most famous cult electro parties in Switzerland. This CD offers some of the best tracks from the party in an exclusive digifile at a special price! Ever needed a great soundtrack for a pulse-driving car chase or just wanted to have the perfect music for your own party? Get this CD right now!
"On February 1st in 2008 I began my journey through the rocky party scene of Zurich. Accompanied by my brave fellowship, RADAR.IO and SOZ.IO we were on our way to - no - not to the Dark Tower of Mordor. We shared the idea to establish a community of people who love dark electronic music. It does not matter if brand new electro sounds or all-time cult classics - we just wanted high quality music! We built an army of music junkies and entered a Blitzkrieg in order to gather great electronic music. We created a huge propaganda machine and STAHL TV was born. But we wanted more... Together with the music freaks from Black Rain Headquarters we were able to put 'Stahl Disko' onto a compilation - so everybody will now have the chance to join our community. Get Stahl Compilation - because 'Stahl Disko' is not just a party - it is pure emotion!" - Feldmarschall Gabriell (Dictator of STAHL DISKO, DJ, JESUS AND THE GURUS keyboarder and live drummer of FEINDFLUG).
