AGONOIZE's very limited electronic aggro-stomper "Bis das Blut Gefriert" has been out for a couple of months and we've finally got our hands on a small number. Catchy melodies, hard beats, aggressive power and lashing shouts blend with complex arrangements, presented in AGONOIZE's trademark, butt-kicking bulldozer sound. Order very soon before it's gone!
After three years of silence, California's PSYCLON NINE return in 2009 with "We the Fallen", their darkest, most aggressive album to date. Dark electro doesn't get much more evil than this.
"King of Nowhere" is the second single/EP from the latest album by DIARY OF DREAMS, "(if)". The impressive video clip for "The Wedding" served as a fitting introduction to the album - and with "King of Nowhere" we will get not only new songs but also videoclips.
The fifth instalment of INFACTED'S "Classics Series" features German EBM-heads ARMAGEDDON DILDOS, with one of the most moving and influential releases in the electro/old school movement! The re-release comes as a full-length album, besides "East West", you also get the complete "Never Mind"/"Pressure" single, as well as rare/deleted tracks and some never-before-released live songs.
Germany's BLACK RAIN label group are busy at the moment with several releases in the pipeline. XENTRIFUGE unleash the follow up to "Light Extinguished", with "Converting Infinity". Combining harsh synths, crushing noise and tormenting vocals with brutal beats, all set in a cold, dark atmosphere, "Converting Infinity" delivers to the dance floor and the moshpit alike.
JAGER 90 return with their fourth release "Drischne Skasal". Featuring 12 new songs and real drums, the duo from Rostock are back with their brand of old-school EBM.
VIGILANTE are one of the most important and heaviest Industrial bands from South America. Their "Life Is a battlefield" DVD will immerse you in the power and energy of their live performances and a sound that will blow your ears. This release also includes a bonus CD with all the live tracks from the DVD and a very special remix from the legendary DIE KRUPPS.
"Nur Tote Männer Sind Schön" is the new limited edition 7" single from DIE PERLEN, containing a cover version of the WELLE ERDBALL classic "Nur Tote Frauen Sind Schön" ('Only Dead Women Are Beautiful').
DER BLAUE REITER return with their third full length album "Nuclear Sun". Each of these skilfully done compositions is made up of powerful percussion and majestic neo-classical passages full of pain and sadness.
"Jack Davey" showcases BRILLIG's strongest song writing to date, with an unmistakable theme of loss and longing. But proving that "all that's dark is not dreary", the EP is full of enchanting melodies and sweet harmonies, which manage to create a strangely uplifting and dreamily romantic atmosphere.
DEXY CORP are the new rising Industrial Rock hope from France. On "Fragmentation", ultra-heavy industrial guitars and vertiginous arrangements leave no time to rest and dwarf everything else that has come before them. For fans of DIE KRUPPS, MINISTRY and KMFDM.
And finally from BLACK RAIN, "EBM Collection Vol. 1" brings together many great names from the EBM scene with exclusive versions by E-CRAFT, DER PRAGER HANDGRIFF, IONIC VISION, TYSKE LUDDER, VOMITO NEGRO and LEAETHER STRIP, as well as rare tracks by CONTAINER 90, STURM CAFÉ and DRP. This hand-numbered limited edition of 500 is made from marble-styled
coloured vinyl, and comes with a poster and sticker!
We have some top quality compilations this week too, including the noisy "Extreme Storfrequenz 4", the mother of all Goth compilations "Gothic Compilation 45", and the fantastic 80s compilation "The New Romantics".
A few older artists now, with ULTRAVOX releasing the latest of their classic album reissues. "U-Vox" was originally released in 1986, the eighth full-length album. This 2CD reissue features the original album digitally remastered plus a bonus disc featuring alternate, extended and live versions, some previously unreleased tracks.
DURAN DURAN were one of the most successful pop acts of the 80s. "The Singles 81-85" spans the height of their career, and includes the pop icons' 13 7" and 12" singles, including all the original B sides, in chronological order from "Planet Earth" to their James Bond theme tune "A View to Kill".
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of DAVID BOWIE's "Space Oddity", the album is being released as a special limited edition 2CD. Disc 1 features the original album remastered, whilst disc 2 features 15 bonus tracks, of which eight are previously unreleased, including two ultra-rare demos.

Review The sky's turning black again: after three years of silence, California's PSYCLON NINE return in 2009 with "We the Fallen", their darkest, most aggressive album to date. Over the course of their previous albums, PSYCLON NINE have continued to evolve into their own sound, implementing elements of industrial, black metal, metal and post-punk influences. The summer of 2000 saw a match made in heaven when ex-roommates Marshall Carnage and Josef Heresy decided to form PSYCLON NINE. They started out as a guitar-driven industrial band, heavily influenced by the likes of KMFDM and MINISTRY, but the members soon altered their style towards a more aggressive sound. Shortly thereafter, the band came together as a whole when Eric Gottesman, the frontman for SEE COLIN SLASH joined Carnage and Heresy. In 2003, PSYCLON NINE released their first album "Divine Infekt". This debut gained them popularity very quickly with its extremely fast paced music and lyrics. In 2005, they released their first U.S. album after signing to Metropolis Records. The album, "INRI", featured thirteen tracks of dark, aggressive music with a focus on religious themes. Not an album for the faint of heart, it was an all-out assault on the senses proving that PSYCLON NINE really know how to hit their mark. With a devout hardcore fan base under their control, the band unleashed their next wave of sonic battery in 2006. "Crwn Thy Frnicatr" featured eleven skin-crawling tracks of dark omniscient rhythm, overlaid with haunting melodies and screaming whisper-like vocals. Now the time has come for "We the Fallen", an intense synth/black metal attack in which PSYCLON NINE have enlisted the help of Jason Miller (GODHEAD) for final tracking and mixing. Review Entitled "Jack Davey", this five-track recording was completed at the end of September 2008 in Hillside Studios with famed producer Matt Hills (WOLF & CUB), and was the first release since Brillig's reinvention as a four-piece acoustic act. The EP was a long time coming for the band, whose previous work ("Mirror on the Wall" LP, 2007) represented an entirely different style. Review Following the sold-out UK tour in April 2009, and subsequent acclaimed festival dates around Europe, ULTRAVOX release the latest of their classic album reissues ahead of further UK dates in November 2009. "U-Vox" was originally released in 1986. It was the eighth full-length album and the fifth by the band's most recognisable incarnation, fronted by Midge Ure. It was also the last ULTRAVOX album to reach the Top 10 in the UK Album Chart. Following the departure of original drummer Warren Cann, "U-Vox" featured his replacement Mark Brzezicki from BIG COUNTRY. The development of their sound away from electronic rock that was started by "Lament" continued further with this album, and it features some unusual instrumentation, such as the Celtic sound of "All Fall Down" with instrumentation by THE CHIEFTAINS. The album's final track, "All in One Day", was arranged and conducted by George Martin. Review To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of DAVID BOWIE's "Space Oddity", the album is being released as a special limited edition 2CD. Produced by Tony Visconti (bar "Space Oddity" itself, which was produced by the late Gus Dudgeon), this album was a giant leap forward in terms of songwriting for Bowie compared to his eponymous debut, and can be considered as the first truly essential DAVID BOWIE album. Noted for a list of collaborators, including session players Herbie Flowers, Tim Renwick, Terry Cox and Rick Wakeman, the album delves into psychedelic folk-rock, as well as prog, with its genre-defying template creating a blueprint for the man who would become, over the next decade and more, one of the most inimitable British artists. The 2CD version will be released in a digipak with an extensive booklet featuring rare photographs, memorabilia, and will feature sleeve notes and a chronology by Kevin Cann. Disc 1 features the original album remastered from the original analogue master tapes, whilst disc 2 features 15 bonus tracks, of which eight are previously unreleased, including two ultra-rare demos: One of the earliest known demos of "Space Oddity" recorded around January 1969 with John "Hutch" Hutchinson, although exact details of its recording date are unknown. Review LINGOUF's second album on Ant-Zen illustrates a further exploration into this artist's very special aural and visual thinking. Review One of the biggest hopes for a 'NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR 2009' award!!! KILOWATTS & VANEK blow to pieces any prejudice about the futility of merging electronic and acoustic music. The American/Belgian duo took four years to save their album "Focus and Flow" to hard disc, and then put it online for sale on their website. An enthusiastic fan asked them to perform two shows in Germany, and that was the first time Watts and Vanek met in person, despite having collaborated for several years. A few months later, Dependent owner Stefan Herwig stumbled across a link in the 'Hybridized' Music forum recommending an amazing album... The link leads to "Focus And Flow". The Dependent label had been closed down a good year before, but Herwig could not withdraw from the fascinating and unique sound of the record, and started to look for a record label for KILOWATTS & VANEK. Interest came from Motor Digital, the net label department of Motor founder Tim Renner. However, nobody seemed interested in releasing "Focus and flow" physically. This lead Stefan to reactivate his record label, and gave KILOWATTS & VANEK a unique advantage: they are home on two separate record labels. So far a truly unique structure. But the theme of unique synergy does not only spread throughout the bands work structure, it is equally apparent in their music: you won't find better vocals or more bittersweet melancholy in any other electronic music. Review If Lithium comes into contact with the skin, it can cause severe chemical burns. In combination with Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet, Lithium forms an acoustic drug with a highly addictive quality: OMEGA LITHIUM! Their penchant for chemical substances is also reflected by the title of their debut album, "Dreams in Formaline". Formalin is an aqueous solution, a mix of formaldehyde and methanol which is used to preserve bodies, as well as anatomical and biological preparations. The band's figurehead is 19 year old vocalist Mya, whose looks are on a par with her powerful and surprisingly deep voice and is definitely a force to be reckoned with by the international competition. Along with Mya, guitarist/main songwriter Malice, bassist/lyricist Zoltan and drummer Torsten have created a powerfully sinister sound which occasionally brings to mind the atmospheric goth metal of acts such as LACUNA COIL and EVANESCENCE, yet is always independent and marked by a variety of influences. OMEGA LITHIUM combine cutting metal riffs, rock elements, electro beats, machine-like coolness and haunting atmospheres at the interface of industrial, goth and metal. Review Accession Records has not signed any new bands for many, many years... So the fact, that Adrian Hates' (DIARY OF DREAMS) label has now signed new act SININE from Estonia is a guarantee of something really outstanding to come! It was in the autumn of 2003 that the Estonian guitarist Mauno Meesit, having played in several experimental and rock bands, started searching for ways of making more personalized music. In addition to playing guitar he started experimenting with synthesizers and samplers, and the project SININE (the Estonian word for "blue") was born. Expansion of musical borders gave way to new explorations. From this, a sort of a musical stained glass window evolved, wherein different genres can be heard, and although combined freely, the music still remains loyal to the author's own handwriting. The music of SININE is a composition of real-life emotions and moments from the past, re-awoken in multi-layered sound spheres. Meesit has found sound and melody.equivalents for every place, atmosphere and cognition described, and by using a variety of instruments and multi-layered musical compositions, a creation where pop music blends with the borderlands of more refined genres emerges. It has resulted in music that does not need any sub-cultural genre to belong to, but seeks instead to emotionally recognize the language of music. Review "My work is finished but it's never done." Two years ago, MINISTRY founder and frontman Al Jourgensen set out to retire his 30-year project and exit gracefully in a blaze of glory with the release of MINISTRY's final studio album "The Last Sucker" to high critical acclaim, a release touted by many as Jourgensen's career best. In tandem with this exit strategy, throughout 2008, he and his crew assaulted sold-out audiences around the world with the final MINISTRY "C U LaTouR" live performances. These very performances were captured and archived forever in the Spring 2009 audio/visual releases of "Adios... Putas Madres". Now Jourgensen gives us his final chapter and epilogue with "The Last Dubber" remix. Given the political and economic landscape that has transpired within the global community within the past two years, revisiting Jourgensen's remix of his final words, we find that hauntingly prophetic in hindsight and eerily poetic. Review DAVID SYLVIAN is a man apart. In his thirty-year career that spans the New Romantic movement, ambient works, progressive rock, and mature and esoteric pop, Sylvian has tested popular styles and bent them to his own vision. But the 00s have seen a more extreme side of his work. While 2003's "Blemish" startled long-time fans with its emotional rigour, Sylvian has taken the next step with "Manafon" (his first solo album in 6 years) - a work of nuance and stern musicality, that is also intriguing, suspenseful, and horribly beautiful. On "Manafon", Sylvian pursues "a completely modern kind of chamber music. Intimate, dynamic, emotive, democratic, economical." In sessions in London, Vienna, and Tokyo, Sylvian assembled the world's leading improvisers and innovators, artists who explore free improvisation, space-specific performance, and live electronics. From Evan Parker and Keith Rowe, to Fennesz and members of Polwechsel, to Sachiko M and Otomo Yoshihide, the musicians provide both a backdrop and a counterweight to his own vocal performances - which, minus one instrumental, are nakedly the center of each piece. Sylvian's voice has never been so dominant or so striking, and his resonant tenor and deliberate vibrato captivate the listener from the start of "Small Metal Gods". "It's like a one-man monologue in which every change of light and backdrop is crucial to the carrying of the central performance. It's an ensemble work even though there is a central performance." Intuition drew Sylvian to these pieces and these players, and the surprises they bring: a cello visiting like a warm hand on a forehead, the unpredictable use of unadulterated sine waves, the brassy path of Evan Parker's soprano sax solo. "Manafon" has a forbidding core, but aesthetically, each piece is an engrossing discovery. Review NEW MODEL ARMY are a legendary global underground cult band. Review Though he started out as a DJ who focused on electronic sounds, AHNST ANDERS now works as a stage and studio performer who merges collages of noise, organic sounds and electronic music into a inimitable blend of dark ambient and experimental music. His debut 'dialog' was released in 2007 simultaneously with his first concert at Maschinenfest. Following were various remixes, collateral sound work for art exhibitions/installations and a collabo rative album with CONFIG.SYS. This new album is based on different field recordings from natural sources (fire, water, wind), found objects (chains, metal breakers) and different daily environments (street sounds, trains). Using the inspiration received from these recordings Anders has transformed the raw sound into tracks that range from ambient to breaks. During the production process he kept his senses and spirit as receptive as possible, treading many paths to achieve this result - this open-mindedness to try 'many ways' is what named the album. The music on this release combines ambient soundscapes with a huge variety of rhythmic patterns - from tribal breaks to slow dub-influenced cadences. Ruminant keyboard layers with added field samples generate a mixture of soothing and unsettling atmospheres. Review Regarded by some as the U.K.'s first punk band, THE DAMNED were certainly one of the first to come to the attention of the wider public with the very first punk single, "New Rose" released on Stiff Records in November 1976. The original members - vampire elect and former undertaker, lead vocalist Dave Vanian; Johnny Thunders look-a-like Brian James on guitar; madcap red beret wearing bassist Captain Sensible; and Rat Scabies drumming-up trouble from the rear - had all dedicated themselves to music in the years before punk hit the fan. As such, the full-on attack of the original, four-piece band was unique and quite unlike anything that had been heard until that point - melody was never sacrificed in favour of power and this approach became the template for successive waves of sonic warriors to try and achieve. Their turbulent existence would plague their progress however, as the band split, reformed and split again many times over, to the extent that fans became unsure which musicians were actually in the band at any given time. Added to this their unsettling habit of recording and releasing albums under a variety of different labels, all contributed to THE DAMNED never quite fulfilling the potential that they so richly deserved. Success did come in fits and starts though, and in 1986, they reached their highest UK singles chart position of number 3 with their version of Barry Ryan's "Eloise". Today, THE DAMNED release albums as credible as those of yore and are never too far away from a town near you, with their original explosive live manifesto as infectious as ever it was. "Damned, Damned, Damned" was originally released in February 1977 and reached number 36 in the UK chart. And it still thrills. Its freshness, energy and capacity to musically assault have never dimmed. As British punk's first album it remains timeless. The album explodes with an energy, power and cutting edge that none of its rivals came remotely close to matching. As such, it is considered by many fans to be THE DAMNED's greatest release in their extensive catalogue. Along with the original album, this Deluxe Edition captures everything else that the band recorded under professional circumstances during punk's year zero. Early demos, all the B-sides, both John Peel Sessions, their scorching BBC 'In Concert' appearance and the rare "Stretcher Case Baby"/"Sick Of Being Sick" 7" single recording. And if that isn't enough, this release also features a previously unreleased bootleg of the band's very first gig recorded from the 100 Club on July 6th 1976. Review CAISARON is the name of a German electronic trio founded in 2006. "Tief in Mir" is the follow up to their successful debut "One Way" released in 2007. Without a doubt, this EP is destined to conquer the dance floors with a lot of original material - namely "Deep inside", "Two Souls" and "Wenn der Letzte Tag Verblasst" - tracks that have exactly what the ever-hungry club crowd wants to hear nowadays. Massive 4/4 beats, a few anthemic melodies mixed in as well, and two pleasant voices to top it all off. Review MARC ALMOND, as the a latter day curator of popular song, has rediscovered the songbook of VADIM KOZIN. Kozin was the Soviet era's much-loved, exiled and then forgotten singer of Gypsy Folk and Russian Torch Song Romances. Almond discovered Kozin's work on his first visit to Russia in 1992 and was immediately taken with the purity and passion of his voice, as well as the beauty and melancholy of his songs, which are enhanced by the hardships Kozin suffered throughout his life. Marc has joined creative forces with Russian producer and musical arranger Alexei Fedorov who shares both Marc's love of Kozin and his aim to help bring his repertoire to a new audience. The songs have been specially translated for Marc and have never been sung in English before. "Oprheus in Exile" was recorded and mixed in Moscow, and features Russia's most famous folk ensemble, Orchestra Rossiya, conducted by renowned arranger/conductor, Anatoly Sobolev, who also arranged some of Kozin's songs for the orchestra. The flamboyance and despair of Kozin is juxtaposed by the ever-present optimism of a lost genre of song. Marc gives these universal concerns an overdue airing on a unique album that gives the original songs an all-new big, classy and stylized orchestral production, yet stays true to the original feel and roots of the songs. Review If Lithium comes into contact with the skin, it can cause severe chemical burns. In combination with Omega, the last letter of the Greek alphabet, Lithium forms an acoustic drug with a highly addictive quality: OMEGA LITHIUM! Their penchant for chemical substances is also reflected by the title of their debut album, "Dreams in Formaline". Formalin is an aqueous solution, a mix of formaldehyde and methanol which is used to preserve bodies, as well as anatomical and biological preparations. The band's figurehead is 19 year old vocalist Mya, whose looks are on a par with her powerful and surprisingly deep voice and is definitely a force to be reckoned with by the international competition. Along with Mya, guitarist/main songwriter Malice, bassist/lyricist Zoltan and drummer Torsten have created a powerfully sinister sound which occasionally brings to mind the atmospheric goth metal of acts such as LACUNA COIL and EVANESCENCE, yet is always independent and marked by a variety of influences. OMEGA LITHIUM combine cutting metal riffs, rock elements, electro beats, machine-like coolness and haunting atmospheres at the interface of industrial, goth and metal. Music fans will be hooked on "Stigmata", which has true hit potential and is supported by a darkly morbid video clip with Tim Burton references; "My Haunted Self" with its male-female antiphon and an extremely creepy aura; the title track, "Dreams In Formaline" with strong industrial influences; and the bombastic "Snow Red".
