Welcome to the weekly round-up of forthcoming releases. Slightly late this week after attending the Whitby Gothic Weekend.

BLUTENGEL are back with more gloomy melodic club sounds with "Soultaker". The addictive title tune that has all the potential to become one of the band's all-time greatest hits, plus there are three more catchy new songs, topped off with eight unreleased remixes and alternative versions. As a special bonus goodie, the release includes the disc "Live in Berlin", featuring the Berlin show from the "Schwarzes Eis" tour.

More from Mr Pohl, as TERMINAL CHOICE return to form with the brand new smash "Keine Macht"! Massive dark electro sounds and fat walls of riffs result in the type of full-frontal sonic attack that is TC's trademark. Chris Pohl and guest singer Mina Harker engage in a searing vocal duel in the most club-compatible track the band has produced since "Menschenbrecher".

The first new release from FAITH AND THE MUSE since 2003 "Ankoku Butoh" is a CD/DVD/Book set containing a brand new thirteen-song studio album, a concert film, unreleased album videos, interviews and extras, and a graphically rich 36-page book.

"Down with the System, Long Live the System!" is 100BLUMEN's third album on Ant-Zen. Powerful rhythmic floral industrial meets haunting technoid ambience. There are new T-shirts and Girlies as well!

On their new album "Viva La Lola", LOLA ANGST are taking the next step towards world domination by reinvigorating the spirit of the pioneers of the early 80s. As a special bonus, the first edition of the album will contain the bonus disc "Live in Germania", which gives a pretty good impression of the sonic madness that LOLA ANGST unleash on stage.

With their new album, "Try and Fail", the Norwegian act ESSENCE OF MIND showcase their impressive song-writing aptitude and modern production maturity, delivering a unique blend of groovy electro rock tunes, strong catchy choruses, melodic synth arrangements and punchy rhythms. The special deluxe carton box set includes an additional CD entitled "Re-try" featuring exclusive bonus tracks plus a bunch of remixes by bands like 32 CRASH, STUDIO X and I:SCINTILLA.

Paris-based duo KRYSTAL SYSTEM have decided to completely re-write six of their songs from a new sexy and dominant electro industrial perspective. These special and exclusive "Underground: VooDoo Night Sessions" resulted in heavy electronics, catchy filtered female vocals, dynamic guitar riffs, and melodic synth sequences. Dark elektro, cold wave, indie pop rock and metal industrial all in one!

HELALYN FLOWERS return with a new evocative full-length album entitled "Stitches of Eden", revealing a much more positive artistic approach. Although we can certainly recognize HELALYN FLOWERS' characteristic intricate and incisive sound, "Stitches of Eden" has a touch of 80s pop rock inspiration, adding a very pleasant catchy and melodic dimension to the band's already diverse musical style. The limited deluxe carton box edition includes an additional exclusive CD of remixes.

Female-fronted industrial rock quartet I:SCINTILLA return with a brand new EP "Prey On You", exploring new sounds and genres. In addition to the three new studio tracks, the EP also features five remixes, including contributions from SEBASTIAN KOMOR, DIE WARZAU, and C/A/T.

Three new releases from JOHN FOXX now, with the definitive 2CD edition of the 1983 solo tour, now entitled "In the Glow". The majority of material in this package is previously unreleased; featuring both his own songs and some originally performed with ULTRAVOX. "Shifting City" was the first work created by FOXX and LOUIS GORDON, originally released in March 1997, three previously unreleased bonus tracks have been added for "Shifting City... PLUS" and additionally there is complete bonus CD containing "The Omnidelic Exotour". "The Pleasures of Electricity", originally released in 2001, was FOXX's second album with GORDON. Disc one of this expanded re-issue features an ALL NEW version of the album, whilst disc two features the original mix of the album plus two previously unreleased bonus tracks.

"A Hand Full of Days" is the third part of the BIRCH BOOK series and represents the culmination of a bizarre journey through "That High Lonesome Path". A dreamy masterpiece of perfect songwriting, this superlimited edition vinyl of 400 copies comes in a heavy top-quality gatefold sleeve. IN GOWAN RING/BIRCH BOOK extend their roots into poetic folk traditions here.

The first new release on the French CORTEX label after years of silence is STUPRE's "Priceless". With ten tracks of modern dark electronic music featuring dirty lyrics influenced by old SKINNY PUPPY, WUMPSCUT and VELVET ACID CHRIST songs, "Priceless" is a real jewel. The limited first edition comes with a free badge and sticker inside!

The DREAMCELL11 label presents "Trance'n'Dance" from the French group AD INFERNA. After a seven year absence, they are now back on the market with a record where the extreme metal of their origins blends with the darkest dancefloor EBM. Twelve tracks that will dance you to death, featuring remixes from COMBICHRIST, SOMAN, REAPER and BEBORN BETON. Recommended by MNS!

At the end of 2006 Brigadier Sven Wolff's (of PATENBRIGADE: WOLFF fame) former band DUST OF BASEMENT gave their last concert at K17, Berlin. Finally, three years later, the production of the live DVD "Epitaph" is finished. Fans can now enjoy about one hour of footage, including many tracks from the farewell show, plus rare live tracks from former shows and additional bonus material.

Have a great week!

TERMINAL CHOICE return to form with the brand new smash "Keine Macht"! 100Blumen Down with the System, Long Live the System! £12.75
Review
100BLUMEN's third album on Ant-Zen is a very comprehensive and elaborate one that displays a perfect merging of powerful rhythmic floral industrial and haunting technoid ambience. Throbbing dance sledgehammers like "The Unrest", "The Anger" and the electro anarchic power noise anthem "Unbreakable" prove that this artist is one of the leading present-day industrial masters.

Another facet of 100BLUMEN's mastery can be experienced on atmospheric tracks like "Tired Green" where mesmerising repetitive patterns and puissant sub-bass create a continuous hypnotic flow. The album's conclusion, "Klimaveränderung" combines M. Nickels' punk roots with hammering e-beats and electroacoustic sound collages - an amazing collaboration with guitarist C. Tiegelkamp and MARCHING DYNAMICS' Shane Talada. This is another step of the one man army's plan to destroy all flower haters with the burning beats of anarchy... and after that, he will have a drink. Eat the rich or die trying!

Lola Angst Viva la Lola £16.50
Review
What happened to the good old sound of the early 80s, when artists like FAD GADGET and GARY NUMAN understood working with electronics as one giant wild and anarchistic playground? Unfortunately, FAD GADGET is now dead and master Numan is sporting a more dark industrial sound these days. Hence we are in dire need of fresh blood for this kind of music! And who would be better suited to fit the role than Don Goldmann and Sancho Schirner who have been riding against the windmills of the establishment with their orphaned church organ Lola and the most eccentric electro-pop vision of all time for quite some time now? On their new album "Viva La Lola", the mad duo (now minus a horde of brawly ballerinas but joined by a live band) is taking the next step towards world domination by reinvigorating the spirit of the aforementioned pioneers of the early 80s and unleashing the wildest electronic funfair sound in years onto their unsuspecting public.

"Viva La Lola" is anti-pop of the most subversive kind, gloriously full of unpredictable melodic twists from warbling analogue contraptions riding high on stomping beats plus a healthy dose of frenetic and fresh vocal escapades. LOLA ANGST do not give a damn about convention and enliven their rather dancefloor compatible sound with lots of little atonal peculiarities and sonic experiments. Furthermore, fans of the 80s will probably get quite some kicks out of trying to figure out all the little quotes from and references to popular songs from this era. The hit potential of this creative rollercoaster ride might not reveal itself immediately to everyone, but when the songs hit you, they will stay with you for a long time. And it takes guts to give the catchiest song on the album a provocative title like "Blood and Honour" only to verbally kick the rear ends of anyone who might be attracted to such a phrase in the lyrics.

As a special bonus, the first edition of the album will contain the bonus disc "Live in Germania" which gives a pretty good impression of the sonic madness that LOLA ANGST unleash on stage. Cynical anarchy-pop from the electronic laboratory... The pioneers from the days of yore could not have done it better!

Essence of Mind Try and Fail £12.50
Review
With their new album, "Try and Fail", the Norwegian act ESSENCE OF MIND showcase their impressive song-writing aptitude and modern production maturity. They have sharpened their unique blend of groovy electro rock tunes, strong catchy choruses, melodic synth arrangements and punchy rhythms. As already revealed on the recent "Watch Out" EP released for the band's European tour with ZEROMANCER, ESSENCE OF MIND continue their sonic quest for the ultimate balance between edgy and powerful songs while putting a strong focus on fresh electronic melodies and sing-along choruses. Songs like "Five Minutes of Fame" and "Fooled" are surely two good examples of beautiful songs with an edge that grows on you in no time...

While Erlend's poignant and emotional vocals evoke similarities with APOPTYGMA BERZERK's recent work, ESSENCE OF MIND's eclectic musical approach will also please fans of bands like ZEROMANCER, PROJECT PITCHFORK and even MESH. A solid 10-track album full of potential hits, confirming the band's dynamic and very personal exploration of diverse musical horizons made of hard-hitting electronics, loud guitar sounds, high-energy synthesizers, lush catchy pop-rock tunes and engaged, straight-in-your-face vocals.

Krystal System Underground: VooDoo Night Sessions £10.50
Review
With the release of their debut album "Underground", Paris-based duo KRYSTAL SYSTEM broke all preconceived musical journalistic foundations by delivering one of the most eclectic albums ever released on Belgium's Alfa Matrix label. After having totally re-vamped and upgraded their studio environment, and having won the best prize for their cover of DEPECHE MODE's "Master and Servant" on the label's tribute release, Bonnie (female vox, guitars) and No. 7 (male vox, synths and machines) decided to completely re-write six of their songs from a new sexy and dominant electro industrial perspective. These special and exclusive "VooDoo Night Sessions" resulted in this brilliant panel of heavy electronics, catchy filtered female vocals, dynamic guitar riffs, and melodic synth sequences. An impressive sound progression adding even more power and dynamism to their viral and groovy compositions, and forecasting a more than promising follow-up album! Dark elektro, cold wave, indie pop rock and metal industrial: all in one!

Helalyn Flowers Stitches of Eden £12.50
Review
Definitely one of the most alluring and outstanding bands on the Alfa Matrix roster, the Italian duo HELALYN FLOWERS instantly caught the attention of the media thanks to their very unique and explosive musical cocktail, as well as their eye-catching imagery.

And now they return with a new album that will once again take everyone by storm. HELALYN FLOWERS are not the kind of band that enjoy repeating themselves again and again. While the previous CD "A Voluntary Coincidence" was quite a dark album, criticising the ruinous state of modern society, the new and evocative full-length album entitled "Stitches of Eden" reveals a much more positive artistic approach - far away from doldrums of death, suffering and self-inflicted misery.

In writing about themes like love, healing and purity, Max's compositions have become more open and give much more space for N0emi's voice to breathe and reveal her impressively wide vocal range (from the nearly wave-pop tone of "Never Enough" or "Sitting on the Moon", to the more upbeat alternative rock of "Hybrid Moments" and "Your Killer Toy"). Although we can certainly recognize HELALYN FLOWERS' characteristic intricate and incisive sound, "Stitches of Eden" has a touch of 80s pop rock inspiration, adding a very pleasant catchy and melodic dimension to the band's already diverse musical style based on dynamic synths, powerful basslines, strong guitars and outstanding female vocals. An electro album that will definitely ignite the imagination and widen their already quite eclectic fanbase to anyone who enjoys a wide range of bands like GARBAGE, KILLING JOKE, DURAN DURAN, THE CURE, DEADSY, ORGY and even GARY NUMAN. Top-class unconventional electronic pop-rock tunes for fashion and alternative music lovers.

I:Scintilla Prey On You £10.50
Review
Female-fronted industrial rock quartet I:SCINTILLA return in 2009 with a brand new EP "Prey On You". After the critical and commercial success of their previous album, "Optics", and their three month U.S. tour which included multiple festival appearances, the anticipation is quite high to see where the band will go next. I:SCINTILLA continue to explore new sounds and genres and the EP's title track is no exception. Frontwoman Brittany Bindrim's powerful voice leads the way on "Prey On You", an infectious synthpop stomper that is sure to pack the dance floor. "Ammunition" is explosive rapid-fire industrial metal angst while "Hollowed" is a swinging electronic rock gem that is as catchy as it is fun. In addition to the three new studio tracks, the 41-minute EP also features five remixes, including contributions from SEBASTIAN KOMOR, DIE WARZAU, STUDIO-X, C/A/T and CYLAB. Three previously unreleased bonus tracks have been added for this release, and additionally there is complete bonus CD containing "The Omnidelic Exotour", recorded live by Foxx and Gordon at A CERTAIN RATIO's Warehouse in Ancoats, Manchester and at Metamatic Studio in 1997.

John Foxx & Louis Gordon The Pleasures of Electricity... PLUS £11.75
Review
Originally released in 2001, this was Foxx's second album with Gordon. To quote the album's original press release: "Taking a cue from KRAFTWERK, one of Foxx's most obvious stylistic touchstones, "Pleasures..." is a streamlined monorail of lock-step computer-generated beats and wiry synthesizer melodies with an equal emphasis on dark atmospherics and energised, danceable rhythms."

Disc one of this special expanded re-issue features an ALL NEW version of the album, remixed in 2009 by John Foxx. Disc two features the original mix of the album plus two previously unreleased bonus tracks.

Stupre Priceless £12.75
Review
The first new release on the fine French Cortex label after years of silence. Cortex previously released bands such as SKOYZ, NEON CAGE EXPERIMENTS and WIRED BRAIN and now presents STUPRE - the decadent side-project of one F.Y.D. member - with ten tracks of modern dark electronic music featuring dirty lyrics influenced by old SKINNY PUPPY, WUMPSCUT and VELVET ACID CHRIST songs. "Priceless" makes you feel a clammy, perverse and feverish atmosphere, based on dark and heavy electro industrial tracks, gloomy and dirty stories written by the two french band members Narcisse and Verge, using a rough voice, harsh screams and lots of films samples. Some great musicians participated to this album too: zNo made the artwork, VX69 from PUNISH YOURSELF gave his voice for one song and NEON CAGE EXPERIMENT contributed a spectacular remix for another track. This album is a real jewel filled with smoke and the limited first edition comes with a unique free badge and sticker inside!

Dust Of Basement Epitaph £14.50
Review
At the end of 2006 Brigadier Sven Wolff's (of PATENBRIGADE: WOLFF fame) former band DUST OF BASEMENT gave their last concert at K17, Berlin. Finally, three years later, the production of the live DVD is finished. D.O.B. addicts can enjoy about one hour of footage, including many tracks from the farewell show plus rare live tracks from former shows and additional bonus material.

DUST OF BASEMENT offer a lush fusion of elektro and pop. The rendezvous between heaven and earth, where the irrepressible fire of the dancefloor meets the mood and air of Film Noire. The band began in 1991 as a SISTERS OF MERCY styled gothic act and released their first material on Celtic Circle Records and later on Trisol. Over time, the music has evolved tremendously however, and even the line-up of members has completely changed.

Illuminate Ohne Worte £12.50
Review
In 2009, ILLUMINATE fans get the royal treatment: May saw the release of "Splitter", encompassing 16 years of the band's history, and making for a beautiful trip down memory lane - and now, shortly before Christmas, the German Romantic Rockers have yet another one coming! This CD, the 13th output from ILLUMINATE, is titled "Ohne Worte" ('Without Words') - and that's the gist: the band proves that good, inspired music doesn't necessarily need vocal support. ILLUMINATE have compiled ten instrumentals on "Ohne Worte", and they have intertwined them in their own, unique way.

As well as five of the well-known and most popular instrumentals of past CDs, the musicians have also composed five brand new, exclusive songs for this album. They have intentionally shunned rough guitars, drums, and synthetic sounds - they want to build upon their unique musical quality: romantic piano ballads and classical orchestrations underline once again why ILLUMINATE are still at the helm of Germany's Gothic Rock scene - 17 years after their first sign of life. If you're looking for a stylish Christmas present or the perfect soundtrack for a romantic winter evening, stop searching and get a copy of "Ohne Worte", ILLUMINATE's contribution to a brilliant yuletide.

Defrag Lament Element £13.00
Review
"Lament Element" presents a dynamic collision of power electronic styles. Crushing distorted beats, lush melodic soundscapes, and massive sub-basses collide with IDM edits and dubstep grooves. A perfect bridge between the distorted aggressiveness of drum'n'bass and IDM's complexity. Imagine minimalist grooves on speed, overdosed with dubstep injections. Riding eclectic curves between styles, Jeff Dodson calls into battle an assortment of punishingly heavy tunes, boosting the tension and emotion to unimaginable dimensions. "The title itself literally means 'The reason to sing for the dead'. Although not a literal application to anything, I intended it as a question: 'What's the reason people write passionate music?' That and a name should just sounds great." Indeed it does, try it!

Herrschaft Tesla £11.75
Review
HERRSCHAFT came into existence at the end of the year 2004, from the dark thoughts of singer and lyricist M.X., to whom suddenly appeared the consciousness of the disastrous doom that is bound to humanity. From this mysterious revelation he embarked upon a mass recruitment plan that would result in him meeting his soldiers, firstly MaX (electro and live drums), then Zoé (guitars and sound engineering). Despite the fact that the three did not get on terribly well, they were driven by a common passion for anthropological research into mankind's future, and thus agreed to form a band that would explore both faces of our world, at once grand and desecrated. After a preliminary work of documentation and composition, HERRSCHAFT started practising live, and during summer of 2005 began the recording sessions for their first effort "Architects of the Humanicide". The Arrival of MaT as a second guitarist, at the end of the year did not help the stressful ambiance but did enable the band to make several chaotic live appearances in France during 2006. As Zoé explained after one of these tormented gigs: "We are not in control anymore".

However, the EP certainly awoke the interest of Italian label Code 666, assuring a well-deserved worldwide distribution to the masses, and providing the band with a new opportunity to deliver their apocalyptical message, in the form of a deal for an hypothetical future album. The band's notoriety grew as the internal relationships rotted. But as MX himself says, "the breed of this bad temper is the only thing that makes the band go forward". And as the years 2006 and 2007 became more and more unliveable, the time came to concentrate fully on the creation of the new opus. After a difficult, messy and mutual work of two years, even changing their band names in the way that foul kings attribute themselves false titles, M[z]X, Zo3, Xew and MaT present the result of their endeavours: a new album under the name of "Tesla". (Dis)organized like the pictures that come directly from the spirits of these four architects, created as a manuscript for the generations to come, "Tesla" is here to prove to the fans of metal and dark electro that the union of these atypical genres has found a new name...

SITD Rot £12.00
Review
In human colour psychology, "Rot" (Red) is associated with energy, heat, blood and strong emotions like aggression, passion and love. Furthermore "Rot" is often used to represent revolutionary movements and symbolizes wrath - one of the several deadly sins.

And so, after the quieter-than-anticipated "Bestie:Mensch", [:SITD:] are back with a new power album, and as befits its title, "Rot" is destined to shake the dancefloors worldwide!

Samsas Traum 13 Jahre Lang Dagegen - Anti Bis zum Tod £13.25
Review
Thirteen years is a long time. Even longer for a band who are cursed by some but idolised by others and who, on top of that, with almost every album dare to make bold expeditions through virgin musical territory. No question about it, for SAMSAS TRAUM, 13 is the proper number to celebrate and to thank both fans and adversaries alike with a rip-roaring birthday album.

Be warned, all those of you who now lean back, yawning, because you believe that the band are celebrating another anniversary with a contemptible 'best of' album: "13 Jahre Lang Dagegen - Anti Bis zum Tod" is much more than a simple cross section of the band's history. The 13 songs which saw the light of day for this particular occasion have only one purpose: to well and truly rock! This time around, soft melancholy, dark romanticism and enigmatic escapades of a poetic nature are left behind in the drawer - instead, there are fireworks, swinging manes and raw emotion!

The structure of the songs and the choice of words for the lyrics is precise, plain and straight to the point. The advantage of this is that the reduction to the bare essentials lends the framework a raw dynamic which can elude no one. In the best style of ENTOMBED and MOTÖRHEAD, your head and foot will unavoidably begin to bob in time to the music. However, if you are afraid that Alex K will mutate into a bearded lout and will allow himself to develop a proper beer belly, you worry in vain. The Kaschte-composed death'n'roll has a subtle nature, which is ruthlessly balanced against reality - however not infrequently with a wink of the eye. The disc with the provocative title (which can be loosely translated into English as "Against It for 13 years - 'Anti' until death") blossoms into the perfect soundtrack for exuberant parties but nevertheless grants insights into an intellectual complexity. Songs such as "Mr. Misanthropia", "Peng - Du Bist Tot", "Alleine unter Menschen" and "Ich Werde da Sein" take no prisoners with regards to both content or music, whereas the eerie ballad "Barfuss", the rocking "Zuhause", the party firecracker "Happy Birthday" and the magical "Lichtbestäubt" provide for the widest variety of moods. Dirty, massive and ironic - for a birthday album of this calibre SAMSAS TRAUM are only to be congratulated!

Acylum The Enemy £12.50
Review
Chemnitz-based artist Pedro Engel strikes back with a powerful third album. With the promising title of "The Enemy", ACYLUM's new CD has all features necessary to be elected best dark electro album of the year, blowing away all standards of the genre. Distancing himself even more from the myriads of Hellektro clones, ACYLUM takes his very own dark electro style and throws it onto the battlefield, facing the enemy without any compromise. The assault is relentless with solid harsh beats, hammering drums, 'punch-in-the-face' provocative lyrics, massive orchestral arrangements and intensely harsh vocals.

On this new CD, ACYLUM shouts his hate out clear and loud against humanity's sickest sides and chases his own personal demons. Battle after battle, song after song ("Achh", "The Enemy", "Torture Tactics") ACYLUM reveals his ascending power, excelling as usual in what he enjoys calling his 'anti-club songs'. These massive mid-tempo multi-layered tracks mix dark noise, dramatic heavy electronics and melodic moments. In his continuous sound progression and quest for new inspirations, ACYLUM also focuses on intelligent contrasts and challenging opposites, adding the unique female vocals of Nadine "Cooraz" Hagenbeck (HAUSHETAERE) who at special moments reinforces melodies and adds a dramatic tone to ACYLUM's apocalyptic tunes. Male and female vocal duets reach devastating heights on songs like "Zyclon B", "Kategorie C" or the brilliant pearl "Lightning Child", ACYLUM's most contagious song to date!

As if returning victorious from electro/industrial warfare was not enough, ACYLUM raises a sign here with "Raise Your Fist", an instant raging club hit that will trigger a tsunami effect on dancefloors all over the world. Throughout his three albums, the East German artist has gained a huge amount of sound identity and production maturity and has grown today into a dominating force on the dark electronic scene. No compromise, no failure.

The ACYLUM war-machine is marching your way, raise your fist and join the master on his raging ascension. Beware: "The Enemy" - this album holds harsher and darker material than any previous releases in the genre, beating :WUMPSCUT: and even SUICIDE COMMANDO's respective early work.

Helalyn Flowers Spacefloor Romance £10.50
Review
Definitely one of the most alluring and outstanding bands on the Alfa Matrix roster, the Italian duo HELALYN FLOWERS instantly caught the attention of the media thanks to their unique and exploding musical cocktail as well as their eye-catching imagery. With the E.P. "Spacefloor Romance", they break their silence and reveal the sound orientation that we can expect from their forthcoming second album "Stitches Of Eden". Definitely not the kind of band that enjoy repeating themselves again and again, HELALYN FLOWERS add to their characteristic intricate and incisive sound a touch of 80s pop rock inspiration, bringing a very pleasant catchy and melodic dimension to the band's already quite open and diversified musical style - currently based on dynamic synths, powerful basslines, strong guitars and outstanding female vocals.

Next to the upbeat alternative rock of "Hybrid Moments" and "Your Killer Toy", the wave-pop tone of "Never Enough" shows how Max's compositions have become more open and give much more space for N0emi's voice to breathe and reveal her impressively wide vocal range. As the icing on the cake, HELALYN FLOWERS have selected four quality remixes (all exclusive to this EP!) by LEAETHER STRIP, PSY'AVIAH, HALO IN REVERSE and the dancefloor masters STUDIO-X, each of which each offers a totally new electronic dimension to these great songs. An EP warming our appetite for more unconventional electronic pop-rock tunes from HELALYN FLOWERS... Recommended to fans of bands like GARBAGE, KILLING JOKE, DURAN DURAN, THE CURE, DEADSY, ORGY and even GARY NUMAN.

And One Live £25.50
Review
AND ONE have never been a band to be satisfied with anything less than superlatives. But, as opposed to the empty phrases most politicians have to offer, the Electronic Body Pop band fronted by Steve Naghavi are sticking to their promises: the long planned and now finally completed double live DVD is the most comprehensive live experience ever to be released on this medium.

54 live songs, recorded between 2004 and 2008 in Berlin, Hamburg and Hildesheim! All the hits are included, spanning their entire career, plus lots of highly original cover versions of delightful tunes and the typical zaniness that accompanies any AND ONE gig, including an always lively interaction with the audience.

Add to that all the video clips the band have ever produced, a 'making of' film, plus a complete concert recording from 1989.

Any questions?

...but who, for God's sake, are Diana, Steffi, Julia, Mandy and Anke???

Kirlian Camera Odyssey Europa £16.50
Review
KIRLIAN CAMERA are one of those particularly special acts that cause connoisseurs to rave about how good they are with glowing eyes, that manage to fuse sonic experiments, club-compatibility, anthemic pathos and a wholly unique aura into a one-of-a-kind experience and that has been able to span generations of fans. As such, a comprehensive retrospective of this Italian cult band is more than overdue, especially since large parts of their older discography are now out of print and very hard to obtain.

However, on this long-awaited compilation entitled "Odyssey Europa", Angelo Bergamini and Elena Alice Fossi are not content with just looking back on their past. Instead, they cleverly build a bridge to their current sound by including new recordings of their classic tunes as well. Thus, cult hits, such as "Eclipse", "Heldenplatz" and "Erinnerung", all mandatory spins at any decent underground club, are included in both their rare original versions and in new interpretations that convey the full power of KIRLIAN CAMERA anno 2009.

Zeromancer It Sounds Like Love (But It Looks Like Sex) £10.50
Review
"It Sounds Like Love (But It Looks Like Sex)" - ZEROMANCER couldn't have thought of a better title for the next single from their hit album "Sinners International"! Yes, it sounds like love: their feel for enticing hooklines, the slightly melancholy and poppy basslines... but in the end it's just pure sex, pure eroticism and pure energy! Cool, vigorous, straightforward rock songs which drive forward, bringing your blood to the boil, setting your heart pounding and sending your hormones crazy with fat guitar riffs, powerful beats and certifiably catchy melodies.

It's a long time since good rock music was as laden with emotion, as passionate and as erotic as that of ZEROMANCER, who with the utmost ease deliver dark, energetic hits, one after another. In addition to a couple of remixes, the EP finally contains the long-awaited DEPECHE MODE cover "Photographic", which is one of ZEROMANCER's biggest live hits. Also included is the collaboration with PIGFACE, "Mercenary".

With their striking mixture of gothic rock and electronic elements, ZEROMANCER remain sex'n'rock'n'roll in its best form! A radiantly seductive light which powerfully rises from the mush of the musical landscape and once again makes rock music just as it once was. Passionate, loud, rebellious and wild, without sacrificing any of the emotion.

Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble Of Shadows The Goat... and Other Re-Animated Bodies (Like a Corpse Standing in Desperation 4) £12.00
Review
New communiques from the 'Sanatorium Altrosa', in which our beloved Goddess Anna-Varney Cantodea has been incarcerated for several years.

The guardians of the sanatorium have released from the files further material about their most enigmatic, fascinating and beautiful inmate for public assessment. These video recordings demonstrate in an impressive, disturbing and absolutely magical way what is meant by 'musical therapy for the spiritually dysfunctional': 'danced poetry'.

These moving visual documents show for the first time in public how the deep meaning of the 'holy trinity' of music, lyrics and artwork can - even if only rudimentarily - be made tangible. We can never completely understand, never really comprehend, what the unparalleled Anna-Varney Cantodea, in her quite glorious complexity, releases. The collected videos on this DVD offer just a further small key to open another small door in the fascinating, beautiful and morbid world of her splendour. A fleeting glance, like a breath of mist, from the early days, long-gone times, up to the most recent hours in the Sanatorium Altrosa, where Anna-Varney, reposing (and one would also like to think: happy) dances for herself, rapt.

Be thankful, humans, that our beloved Goddess has consented to release these emotional and moving images. Conjecture the uniqueness of the art which SOPOR AETERNUS & THE ENSEMBLE OF SHADOWS create for all of the wounded souls outside the gates of the sanatorium and become a part - a small part - of this world. 'The Goat... and Other Re-Animated Bodies (Like a Corpse Standing in Desperation 4)' is like a consecrated wafer which we are allowed to receive, while kneeling, from our Goddess, and which for a fleeting moment opens our eyes without sacrificing any of the emotion.

Extize FallOut Nation £13.75
Review
The recently-released pill in the form of the EP "Hellektrostar" still hasn't been properly digested, thus the cyber-trance-industrial stars from EXT!ZE now administer the full dose. There will be no mercy!

Now that "Poser" and "Hellektrostar" have established themselves on the French and German dancefloors as absolute club stormers, the hypnotic mixture of driving beats, razor-sharp techno, threatening industrial and hypnotic trance is about to erupt from the home stereos. The strobe lights flash like crazy through the neon light-soaked night of the modern city and the heroes of cyberspace, in their amazing, decadent outfits, perform a crazy dance, in equal parts threatening and intoxicating, which leads into the depths of the human psyche.

EXT!ZE have increased the dose: the superstars let rip with a swirling mixture of sounds, beats, samples, sequences and vocals which are crazier and more varied than before... and this time over the complete length of a full album. This time there is no escape!

These 15 tracks (including remixes by FABRIK-C and THE LADDER) are the ultimate soundtrack to the dance following the world's collapse! The door has been open a long time! Take the pill and let yourselves fall into this madness, out of which there is no escape... No doctor or pharmacist can help with any risks or side effects: the only things which will help are the repeat button and another sweat-inducing dance in the crazy world of an infernal underground! Don't follow the white rabbit: follow EXT!ZE!

Santa Hates You Rocket Heart £6.75
Review
The creative strength of Peter Spilles is inexhaustible. With the brilliant PROJECT PITCHFORK album "Dream, Tiresias!" still ringing in our ears, he follows it up with the EP "Rocket Heart" from his unconventional side project SANTA HATES YOU.

Stomping beats, driving sequencers and apocalyptic sounds are skilfully mixed with dark, aggressive vocals. Peter Spilles and his Italian partner in crime, Jinxy, give us (in an unexpected and seductive way) a musical kick up the arse which lends the whole an unnaturally sexy character. SANTA HATES YOU are loud, aggressive, dark, rebellious, threatening, danceable, moving, passionate and intelligent. An alluring yet wild playground of electronic music, upon which the protagonists let off steam with lascivious poses and innocent expressions in order to clobber the listener around the ears with the concentrated strength of their beats and sounds, which nearly take your breath away.

The EP is packaged in an elegant digipak and is strictly limited to 2,000 copies. In addition to a cover version of the AND ONE hit "Deutschmaschine", it also contains remixes by STRAFTANZ, SOMAN and REAPER plus a further bonus track. A must-have for every fan PROJECT PITCHFORK and indispensable for all fans of hard as nails electronic music!

Imminent Cask Strength £13.25
Review
IMMINENT STARVATION, Olivier Moreau, has been a leading light in the intersection of powerful industrial music and advanced electronics. Incessant technoid rhythms, twisted electronic noise and cold, sinister atmospheric textures are the key ingredients in his musical spectrum.

After finishing "Nord/North" in 1999, he destroyed his mixing desk, gave away the pieces as part of the limited "Nord" release and shortened his moniker to IMMINENT. After the name change he produced remixes for SONAR, ISZOLOSCOPE, ORPHX and others, appeared on compilations, performed live and collaborated with SYNAPSCAPE as THE INCREDIBLE THREE. Furthermore he constantly worked on this new full length album - which has now been completed. Like any good whisky that has to mature for at least ten years in a cask, it took the same time for this release to maturate - and it was worth awaiting the ripening. Indeed the music is comparable to a cask strength whisky's taste: raw, aggressive, powerful, without any concession or any additive to dilute its true nature, but it also includes a lot of complexity waiting to be discovered by a true connoisseur. Straight beats interwoven with sophisticated breaks, brilliantly placed samples, intertwining powerful atmospheric synth textures and forceful distorted sequences (without inhibition) form into the sophisticated style of industrial music that IMMINENT is known and loved for. 64 minutes of music - taste it and full satisfaction is guaranteed!

Android Lust Resolution [Re-Issue] £13.75
Review
In 1997 when the electronic underground was still seething with bursts of originality, the genre's first one-woman electro project emerged. From the singular mind of Shikhee, "Resolution" is an album that is lush, richly textured, and revels in the sonic expressions of the beauty in decay. Dark, sensual, and twisted around a spike of elegant fury, this music is compelling even to the most inhuman of minds.

Emilie Autumn Opheliac [Deluxe Second Edition] £16.50
Review
COURTNEY LOVE's 'anarchy violinist' EMILIE AUTUMN returns to the digital and physical shelves with her European smash "Opheliac". Updated and expanded for North American release, this new second 'deluxe' edition (and fourth version of "Opheliac" altogether!) features six additional songs and lots of never-before-available video footage - over 2 hours of goth-tastic pleasure. And this time around Emilie is keeping the spotlight all to herself. With appearances on Leno and Letterman already under her corset, glossy magazine covers, and guest spots on albums by artists as varied as OTEP, BILLY CORGAN, COURTNEY LOVE, as well as TV's Metalocalypse, Autumn's devilishly dark lyrics, metal-shredding violin solos, and industrial-strength voice reinvent 'gothic' for the masses... and goths have never had so much fun.

Visually and sonicly compelling, Autumn was recently chosen by Interview Magazine as one of their "14 Artists to Watch". The Los Angeles-born starlet's theatrical stage show is a sexy circus of glam-rock burlesque, backed by her evocatively-clad girl entourage "The Bloody Crumpets". Written in the style she calls "Victoriandustrial", "Opheliac" is a magnificent musical miasma reflecting Autumn's life: a child-prodigy's classical training and performances in the concert halls of the world, a passion for industrial and metal, and of course all things Vaudeville! Bravely and humorously addressing subject matter ranging from depression (with the harpsichord-driven "Opheliac") to self-mutilation ("Liar"), sexual abuse ("Gothic Lolita"), suicide ("The Art of Suicide") and Autumn's real-life experience as a psych ward inmate ("Thank God I'm Pretty”), "Opheliac" is truly a reflection of all of us!

The results are in; with Vaudevillian appeal, Autumn's signature electric violin, heartbreakingly lush orchestrations, hard-core beats, and intense lyricicsm, "Opheliac" is the musical calling card for the blue-black set! The finest harpsichord-heavy romp through soundscapes at midnight!

Ikon Love, Hate and Sorrow £19.75
Review
IKON are almost certainly one of the best known, and most continously successful Australian bands. Originally often compared to JOY DIVISION, their sound has evolved over the years into something very original, authentic and unique. Catchy melodies are central to their music, along with a powerful guitar-based sound, and many of their tracks have become timeless hits in alternative and gothic clubs around the world.

The eagerly awaited and long-overdue album "Love, Hate and Sorrow" not only marks the band's return to the German label Apollyon (with whom they first signed back in 1994), but is also an album full of energy, that really stands out from the masses of gothic/industrial releases these days/these years!

The first limited edition will be released as double CD in a deluxe 8-panel digipak with special varnish print. The first disc features the 'official' album with twelve new tracks, while disc two contains an 'unplugged/acoustic' session of a further ten tracks in total. Whether you like it rockier as on CD1 or acoustic as on CD2, with "Love, Hate and Sorrow" IKON present once again an album that is highly authentic, original, creative and unique - probably their best release in ten years!

Zombie Girl The Halloween EP £10.75
Review
Who else but ZOMBIE GIRL would celebrate their comeback on Halloween? Underworld prophetess Renee Cooper and studio guru Sebastian Komor strike again reaching out of the fog with the new exciting "Halloween EP". The new release jumps straight into it with a harsh, brutal and almost blasphemous industrial re-interpretation of John Carpenter's legendary tune. ZOMBIE GIRL's new dancefloor invasion is once again guaranteed to rock you out reinforced by upbeat club remixes of their countless hits including the unavoidable "Bleeder", "I Want It", "The Darkness", "Creepy Crawler" and "Gonna Getcha". The hits are masterfully reworked by Komor himself and by futuristic remixers like IVARDENSPHERE, DR0NE and VIRTUAL TERRORIST.

With good old horror movies as a reoccurring theme in their work, the living dead superstars once again deliver more creepy noises and bleeding electronics on new pieces like "The Ones Who Walk at Night" and "From Below"... Renee's hypnotisingly witchy vocals and Sebastian's unbelievable sound power once again unite for another apocalyptical firework of "Zombie Techno Body Music", offering the perfect bridge between dark goth industrial and futuristic grooving electronics. Here they come, back again... The ZOMBIE GIRL duo invites you to the ultimate dead meat Halloween party. Succumb to their viral noise crusade and let ZOMBIE GIRL take another bite out of you...

SOUNDCLIPS ADDED THIS WEEK
Minusheart Disease £15.25
Review
MINUSHEART is the project of Diver and Benden, begun in 2007. Right from the start they knew that their music would be based on electronic sounds, emotional vocals and with a tendency to unusual melodies and unusual song structures that remind you of NITZER EBB or SKINNY PUPPY. This CD features a smattering of club tracks ("Icehouse", "Don't Feed the Cats") as well as some darker songs like "Future Lies" which is wonderfully intense, bringing to mind the classic industrial bands like SHOCK THERAPY. "Burning Star" is a beautifully written melancholic electro-industrial-pop song and the perfect conclusion to the album. The two musicians create a special sound that plays with the classic elements of electro and EBM music but is always up to date and full of detailed elements that make this album very unique.

Dirk "ACCESSORY" Steyer's mastering makes the MINUSHEART sound all the more powerful and four bonus remixes from FRAGMENT MACHINERY, ACCESSORY, CONFIG.SYY and MONOLITH make an excellent addition to an album that already excellent itself.

13th Monkey Redefining the Paradigm of Bang £13.00
Review
"Redefining the Paradigm of Bang" is the best description for this 100% club-compatible techno industrial project by the two sound artists and producers Andreas 'Thedi' Thedens and Harm Bremer. While this project is based in Lüneburg, the album demonstrates that there is more than simply calm and beautiful landscapes and curly black haired sheep called 'Heidschnucken' in the Lüneburg Heath. If you dive-bomb into the subsurface blow-hole you will find yourself in the middle of a weird rebellion and may even cross the path of an anthropoid on the run: the 13th Monkey. The eleven tracks on this album were constructed using an array of tabletop hardware instruments programmed in real-time without the use of overdubbing. This is the mainstay of this project's energetic live sets, in a style self-hailed as 'Digital Tech Fractures'. The final 'bang' of this project's debut album was added by legendary speedcore producer Bobby Tense at the famous Kevorkian Mastering Studio in New York City. Expect 68 minutes of bass-driven and pounding tech-industrial tracks with distorted and screaming acid-like 303 sounds as extra ingredients. Monkey bites!

Assemblage 23 Compass [Deluxe] £18.00
Review
ASSEMBLAGE 23 and Tom Shear - there's no need to introduce the man behind this figurehead of electronic music. For almost ten years, he has provided the scene with a string of hits.

Still, his new album demands a closer look. It is not just his sixth studio album - "Compass" is a lot more than that. This album is the uncompromising presentation of Tom Shear's biggest strength, the composition of dreamingly beautiful ballads, relentlessly catchy tunes and club hits that will draw all the party animals to the dance floor. He is a real master of his trade, and on this newest work, he has achieved the feat of sticking to the sound all ASSEMBLAGE 23 fans love and hope for, while still creating a powerful and exiting new vibe. Listening to this album and discovering "Compass" in its whole glory is pure fun; it fascinates and electrifies.

All this combined makes sure that "Compass" is not just a treat for Shear's big fan base but will also excite all those who have not yet discovered the fascination of ASSEMBLAGE 23. The single "Spark" has already proven a strong and promising harbinger - but who would have thought that Tom Shear might surpass this benchmark in such a glorious way. For all those who love straightforward but also sophisticated and substantial electronic music, this album is not to be missed!

The very limited deluxe edition of "Compass" comes complete with bonus CD and in special, and very beautiful packaging.

Empusae Mortusae £19.75
Review
The "Mortusae" double album is an epic release produced by Nicolas Van Meirhaeghe, aka Sal-Ocin (THIS MORN' OMINA, TZOLK'IN). This amazing album includes new, rare and long-deleted tracks and is a journey through time, regions and atmospheres. "Mortusae" is a retrospective of different periods of EMPUSAE's almost decade-long existence. The album includes rare tracks from early albums which were not released on HANDS (including tracks from the first ever EMPUSAE album), more recent collaborations with close friends, tracks from the legendary Maschinenfest 10 year anniversary performance and comic book soundtracks. All the material has been re-mastered by Mika Goedrijk (THIS MORN' OMINA, POW(D)ER PUSSY). The red line through "Mortusae" and EMPUSAE's essence consists of a dark, melodic, danceable and atmospheric body of electronic music based on the human gift of fantasy. Immerse yourself within its beauty and decay, darkness and melancholy, tribal ceremonies and unearthly misery; enter into oblivion!

Greyhound Tactical Evolution £19.75
Review
On their fourth studio album release, "Tactical Evolution", GREYHOUND express how they view the situation on planet earth in the year 2009. This album is their musical interpretation of daily global events and features 26 intense, powerful rhythm'n'noise tracks for industrial clubs worldwide. In reflection of the current violence and recklessness sweeping the globe on a daily basis, GREYHOUND have created a soundtrack of aggressive rhythms and threatening atmospheres. Hard, pounding, distorted beats and heavily distorted sounds are melted to the unique mixture GREYHOUND have become well known for. Changing pulses, information overload, the surveillance fight and fast-moving life resonates in each second. Be prepared for the "Tactical Evolution"!

Heimstatt Yipotash Urban Night Motifs £13.00
Review
HEIMSTATT YIPOTASH's third album, "Urban Night Motifs", is a genius mixture of both danceable electro industrial and electronica-influenced noise-based sound research. With this essential new release, we see a turn away from the deep sea of "Storegga Effect" (2007) and the world wide web within "Perpetual Beta" (2007) back into the action and energy of the streets of urban landscapes. "Urban Night Motifs" tells the story of modern urbanity characterized by the numerous daily news reports of so-called social coexistence without the common glitter and stories of success turning various spotlights on. Spotlights that light up an inapproachable, dismissive, dangerous and crude modern metropolis - inspired by the aesthetics and flair of movies like "Renaissance" and "Sin City". The album, quite possibly the soundtrack to some sort of mental cinema, narrates a very accessible and identifiable story consisting of track titles like "Mindcartridge", "Metro Dwellers" and "Pavement Chicks". Vocal samples and fluid song transitions create anything but a buoyant mood. Despite these uncharming atmospheres, the tracks are very danceable, vivid and forceful. Now turn off all those shiny city lights and get an idea of the "Urban Night Motifs".

Last Days Of S.E.X. Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive £13.00
Review
After LAST DAYS OF S.E.X.'s debut, "First S.E.X.ual Experience", comes the follow-up from this Greek rhyhtm'n'noise act entitled "Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive". Rhythmic industrial and breakcore are combined into absolutely harsh and complex passages while kicking beats deliver an experience between agitation, provocation and irony. "Great Irony and the Politically S.E.X.plosive" narrates stories of restless motion, obsession and and urges through the use of words and sound frequencies. Manos X, the man behind this project, aims not only to create harsh sound atmospheres consisting of distorted rhythmic breaks and noises but also to stimulate the senses through the use of references, to pose questions in order to transfuse inspiration, to wake desire up and to utilize irony as a critical tool.

Rotersand Random Is Resistance £13.25
Review
Ever since their debut "Truth is Fanatic" exploded like a bomb, it has been impossible to imagine the clubs and the alternative charts without ROTERSAND. And with their new album, "Random Is Resistance", they have once again succeeded in performing the balancing act between club-friendly music and a total work of art, mixing chilled-out electrobeats with shimmering futurepop sequences, trance-like sounds with atmospheric samples, clear-cut melodies with warm and charismatic vocals, subdued new wave with classical strings. Nor do they shy away from acoustic guitars and pop hooklines, creating a unique universe that pulls together all strands of electronic music and which remains masterfully emotional and above all, intelligent. "Random Is Resistance' is the most perfect work to date from ROTERSAND's unique creative musical forge. Without doubt, in the world of electronic music, ROTERSAND once more claim their special position, not least because the intelligence of their lyrical message is mirrored in the skillfully employed variation of their music. Individualists who dance their way out of the grid, achieving musical resistance to the well-worn pigeonholes.

"Coincidence" is an unpredictable factor. To remain unpredictable was not only ever just an integral part of ROTERSAND's music. To remain unpredictable in a world in which we are (voluntarily) monitored and in which we relinquish all of our data and personal preferences in order to become the perfect controllable consumers - that is resistance! "Random Is Resistance" is guaranteed, like its predecessors, to implant itself into various charts, onto the dancefloors of the clubs and into the brains of the listeners. A collectors' piece which no fan of ROTERSAND should be without!

The first edition of "Random Is Resistance" is released as a lavish eight-panel digipak with an extensive booklet full of sombre illustrations which perfectly set the visual scene for the story and which can be described without over-exaggeration as a work of art.

Scrap.edx Merciless Protraction £13.00
Review
Long awaited fifth album by the east coast industrial drum'n'bass producer Joshua Colella. "Merciless Protraction", quite possibly SCRAP.EDX's most essential work to date and the eagerly anticipated follow-up album to 2006's Recoil the Void, is a journey through the circuitry of advanced industrialized electronic music. This album narrates the story of technological singularity collapsing on the linear reality of today's human world and challenges the listener to ask questions about our intentions as a continuously advancing and evolving civilization. "Merciless Protraction" samples, bends and manipulates countless genres of electronic music into a cohesive and innovative body of work; a signature of Colella's high digital production quality and complex, stylized programming skills. Consisting of industrial drum'n'bass, breakcore, rhythmic noise, dark ambient and IDM production styles, "Merciless Protraction" is a futuristic journey through the universe of hardcore electronic dance music. Featuring the spoken word talents up upcoming American writer Craig Marchinkoski, Japan's Kenji Siratori and the remixing skills of Canada's LIAR'S ROSEBUSH, "Merciless Protraction" is an essential album for fans of advanced industrial music.

Terrorfakt Re/Evolution £12.50
Review
A great return for TERRORFAKT, two years after the amazing previous album "Teethgrinder". Acidic and harsh, TERRORFAKT's music is unavoidable. The fast-paced and heavy beats bite at the eardrums and reverberate through the body, blurring the vision and rapidly transporting you to another world. "Re/Evolution" is a looking forward/looking back type of release which features some classic out-of-print TERRORFAKT material, in addition to a few songs that were never officially released, some new remixes and some new studio material. While this may satiate the longing for a new studio album, "Re/Evolution" will also stand on its own as one of TERRORFAKT's best releases.

Wayne Hussey Bare £14.00
Review
After THE MISSION finally broke up last year, singer WAYNE HUSSEY has finally had the time to record his first solo album, entitled "Bare", featuring songs that Wayne has been presenting on his recent solo tour. The album also features four live bonus tracks, recorded at a sold-out show in Bochum in October. The recording is uncut and with Wayne's explanations and comments it really captures the special atmosphere that prevails at his concerts.

For the album, not only did Wayne record old classics by THE MISSION ("Shelter from the Storm", "Garden of Delight", "Black Mountain Mist"), he also covered songs by THE CURE ("A Night Like This") , U2 ("With or Without You") and DAVID BOWIE ("Ashes to Ashes") among others. He plays these songs with all due respect but also adds a new twist to them. "Bare" is an album which really reflects Hussey's personal taste, a very personal and melancholic album which perfectly fits into the cold autumn and winter days.

John Foxx A New Kind of Man £12.00
Review
"A New Kind of Man" was recorded on FOXX's 2007 "Metamatic" Tour and includes live versions of all the tracks from the pioneering electronic album, plus B-sides and rarities. "Metamatic" has been hugely influential, cited by Uncut Magazine as THE KLAXONS' all-time favourite album, and influencing countless other artists beyond that. According to The Sunday Times, it is 'still an eerie experience to hear it all these years later.' Mojo raved about its minimalist approach, concluding that its cold electronics and stark vocals make it 'one of the most under-emoted records in pop history.'

Wavefall Heartstarter £11.75
Review
"Heartstarter" - the key of ignition to your daily life, the biopulse of your heart, beating in the chaotic motion of the modern megapolis, saturated by sins, madness, electronics and machines. The second release from Moscow-based project WAVEFORM continues in the same vein as their first-born album, "Huge Frustration". All the musical elements for which the group have achieved acclaim to date are represented here: aggressive rate, distorted vocals, catchy music - there is no need to repeat once again all merits of this band.

Also good to note is the increased professionalism of the group, resulting in a very solid arrangement. "Heartstarter" depicts a unique world, created by WAVEFALL, and built on the fragments of the reality that was brought crashing down a year and a half ago by album "Huge Frustration". All of which contributes to an album that is a must for dancefloor, and an absolute starter to your heart - all concentrated into sixteen wonderful compositions. This release is truly a worthy continuation of their debut. Stronger than ever before!

Wavefall Huge Frustration £11.75
Review
Chaos. Can the chaos surrounding us be expressed in a rigid and merciless musical key? Can sonic chaos find directed motion within a strict industrial faceting? To answer this question, yes it becomes possible, once you step inside the hurricane world of Wavefall. Everything that you have listened so far, and everything that made you fall in love with the industrial scene, has found a clear and intelligent form in this talented group. A new world order has begun.

From the very first moments of the album, an absolutely crazy charge of energy is brought down upon you, relaxing only momentarily in the several slower compostions on the album, making it possible for the musicians and the listener to draw a breat of fresh aire before being immersed again into the merciless industrial chaos. It is possible to draw an innumberable quantity of parallels between sounds and style associations from the electronic scene both past and present, from the better days of CAT RAPES DOG of the early to mids 90s, to the classicality of FLESH FIELD and the energy charge of contemporary FUNKER VOGT and HOCICO. And yet WAVEFALL remain definitively themselves, personifying a new generation of the Russian electronic scene - that generation which hacks itself into the world industrial scene with the coupled sound of electric saws and organic synthetics. The very unique style of this band distinguishes them from the mass of other cloned groups.

Briefly, if you would like to know what modern danceable Russian industrial means - buy a one-way ticket, and travel to the world after WAVEFALL! There is no return.

Parralox Hotter E.P. £9.00
Review
"Hotter" is the brand new single from PARRALOX, synthpop at its best. Great rhythms, wonderful melodies and finely detailed production and programming from John von Ahlen, with the charismatic vocals of vocalist Amii, make this song a real experience. The production harks back to the Analog days of Shannon (Let The Music Play) but combines the ultra-modern modern programming of today's technology. This single includes remixes that are ready for the dancefloor, as well as a new track "Don't Talk About Love" which will be included on the band's forthcoming album "State Of Decay".

Kite II £8.00
Review
KITE, the fantastic Stockholm-based duo, are often referred to by the media as some kind of 'supergroup'. Nicklas Stenemo (MELODY CLUB/THE MOE/VENUS OUTBACK etc.) and Christian Berg (STRIP MUSIC/YVONNE/THE APRIL TEARS etc.) have made a huge impact on the new wave/synthpop scene since their start in 2008. To such an extent, that recently one of Sweden's most famous journalists, Fredrik Strage, listed the best tracks made over the last 10 years and KITE's "Ways To Dance" was included! Perhaps not surprising, considering this very same track stayed on heavy rotation on Swedish national radio for eight consecutive weeks.

With "II" the band takes yet another huge step towards the absolute top of the electro/new wavepop scene.

Faderhead Horizon Born £7.00
Review
One year after finishing his album trilogy with the acclaimed "FH3" CD, FADERHEAD is back with the five-song "Horizon Born" EP!

And once again he surprises everyone by releasing something totally different from the uber-club hit "TZDV". "Horizon Born" is comprised of five ballads and shows a totally different side to this talented German songwriter. A side that was always present, as songs like "Exit Ghost", "Still Missing" and "Vanish" amply demonstrate, but that was always overlooked due to the massive presence of FADERHEAD floor-fillers in electro clubs worldwide.

Some people say that ballads are actually the main strength of the charismatic, shade-wearing, mohawk lover - and "Horizon Born" definitely underlines that claim. Spanning a huge stylistic range from cinematic orchestral sounds to gnarly industrial-rock drums and poppy electro-ballads, "Horizon Born" is gonna be a treat for everyone who loves emotional lyrics and soulful melodies.

And it may convince a lot of people that FADERHEAD isn't just a one trick pony...
