As we draw closer to the end of the year the number of new releases is reducing. So for this week's newsletter we've put together our final 'Catch Up' newsletter, covering March. Another very busy month, with some top quality releases. Normal service will resume next week with our new releases newsletter.
First up is a raft of releases from Wumpscut, including the 4CD Dwarf Craving collection, and various versions of the "Schädling" album, including two bumper Boxsets.
Fans of electronic pioneer Dirk Ivens will be happy with a new Absolute Body Control MCD "Never Seen" and re-recorded best-of "Wind[Re]Wind". There were more hard-beats with the excellent new album from Noisuf-X, "The Beauty of Destruction", along with two versions of Xotox's "In Den Zehn Morgen", which was timed to coincide with the band's 10th anniversary.
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds released their 14th album, in the guise of "DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!", which is also available as a Special Edition with a 54 page booklet.
With their first new studio album in over three years Death In June returned with "The Rule of Thirds", which contains 13 tracks and has a lyric booklet.
Sara Noxx brought us "XX-Ray ( Best Of )", a Limited 3CD offering. Disc 1 includes remastered original Sara Noxx songs, while Disc 2 contains Remixx / duets with scene heavyweights such as ASP, Feindflug, Kirlian Camera, PAL, Armageddon Dildos, Seabound and more. Disc 3 has artists interpreting selected Noxx songs.
March also saw the release of medieval sounds and contemporary beats in the form of Qntal's "Translucida". The limited version also comes with a bonus CD.
Ministry unleashed "Cover Up", one of the hottest, nastiest rock'n'roll albums ever recorded, which sees Jourgensen and co-conspirators paying tribute to some of the most memorable Parteeee rock songs and to those artists who first laid them down. The re-interpretations include classics by Deep Purple, T-Rex, ZZ Top, The Doors, Mountain, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and many more - bizarre, but enjoyable!
Finally, there were DVD releases from Clan of Xymox, with a Limited 2DVD featuring tracks from "A Day" up to the current single "Heroes", and Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark with "Architecture & Morality & More", which is their first full live concert on DVD.

Review Maybe there's just a feeling something is missing. It's hard to pin down, difficult to articulate; maybe it's just the instinctive knowledge that it's time for a new album from Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds - who else can be relied upon during days like these? The Bad Seeds is an ongoing mission for Nick Cave and his cohorts and in the last two years, this evolutionary quest has sped up to an intoxicating pace. Last seen out in public under the gleeful guise of Grinderman, a no-nonsense rock'n'roll excuse to 'head down to the basement and shout', now Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds hit the elevator button straight back up to the cerebral penthouse suite with their fourteenth album, "DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!" "A haemorrhaging of words and ideas," is how Cave describes the follow-up to 2004's gloriously compendious "Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus" double. "Grinderman was deliberately spare and the concepts were pretty simple," he explains. "With DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!! we allowed ourselves to get expansive". That's no understatement. "DIG, LAZARUS, DIG!!!" is elusive, allusive and - what the hell - illusive, a dizzying narrative that unrolls Western civilisation from Homer to Freud, the Bible to the Beats, fitting in its own cast of mythical characters along the way. Little Janie and the sinister Mr. Sandman lock into a grim dance on "Today's Lesson", a blast of sexual politics crammed into one nasty rock'n'roll fable; the roaming spirits of "Albert Goes West" go on an interstate rampage through psychotic episodes and dive bar beers; while poor Lazarus finds himself lost and alone on the title track's dense compression of New Testament miracles, Victorian spiritualism and New York decadence. Then there's the pyrotechnic rant "We Call Upon The Author" (To Explain), which subtly and self-mockingly sets Cave The Songwriter in the dock, challenges God to account for himself and sets a literary feud to an irresistible beat. Review IC 434 began in 1990 as TALES OF DOOM, when Geert de Wilde (Antwerp, Belgium) started making electronic music after several years of experimenting with pianos, tapes and old radios. While appearing with the industrial act GENOCIDE and performing as keyboarder with a death metal band, things changed drastically in August 1994 when a more professional synth made its entry: the legendary Korg M1. IC434 was born, named after the "Horsehead Nebula", a beautiful galactic cloud in the impressive constellation of Orion. Today, just as in the early days, Geert does the programming, adds vocals and plays live with several alternating keyboarders. As you can expect from the name of the band, the lyrics mainly deal with astronomical subjects, linked to some very personal experiences Geert had with death and other obscure subjects. The mysteries of our planet and in the universe also have an important place in the lyrics, just as do animal rights, and the sickness of our society. Impressed by one of the concerts in 1996, Dirk Ivens (THE KLINIK, DIVE and SONAR) decided to offer a contract on his label DAFT RECORDS. After several years of silence, IC434 was the first band on the subdivision BODY RECORDS. The band released three albums on this label. 2008 sees IC 434 return with his 4th studio album on Infacted Recordings and delivers without a doubt his strongest and best produced album to date, mastered by Drazen Suciz of Schallfaktor! Review MZ.412 was founded in 1990 by KREMATOR and DRAKHON and can be described as a pioneer of the true Swedish Black Industrial scene. Though now well known through their more current releases, the time is right to look back to their first release from 1990 "Macht Durch Stimme". If "Macht Durch Stimme" doesn't exactly represent evil in the same way as the new MZ.412 albums do, it is certainly interesting to see where it all started.
