It seems apt that after a month of Music Non Stop being brought back to life we can also celebrate the continuation of an artist that may have been lost to our scene as well.
As a DJ always looking for the next big thing I was honestly blown away by the range of styles and maturity that was FH1. Sami's next release brought us some [now] club classics, most notably Dirtygrrrls / Dirtybois.
Prepare yourself for Faderhead's next onslaught - FH3
To celebrate our first month online Grufti Limited will be offering quadruple bonus points on all pre-orders placed for FH3 by midnight on Sunday 29th September GMT. Coupled with a bargain price of £9.99 this really is a 'must have' release for all Electroheads.
Review
Faderhead is back with "FH3", his 3rd full-length album in 3 years. "FH3" is once again an evolution from the styles of "FH2" - expanding and exploring previously untrodden grounds. And while the music is undeniably Faderhead, it is considerably darker and carries less of a party vibe. Definitely a departure from the days of songs like "Coke For My Ass", "Mono Man" and "Dirtygrrrls/Dirtybois". Lyrically, the fun-loving, tongue-in-cheek tone and the smirky ease of "FH2" has given way to more serious, contemplative topics and much more emotional statements. What used to be fun, now seems to be sarcasm.
Less dancing - more listening... that seems to be the order of the day when it comes to "FH3". And while monster-stompers like "TZDV" are bound to take dance-floors worldwide by storm, the focus this time lies on storytelling and good songwriting. Something sorely needed in the music world these days...
