It's been far too long since we brought you news of what has been released by our friends 'from the land of rising darkness', but the wait is now over.
If you're not familiar with DWA's offerings, they partner with European labels, such as INFACTED, BLACK RAIN and ALFA MATRIX to bring us limited Japanese editions of albums. These are generally very high quality digipaks with stunning artwork and often with exclusive bonus material not available elsewhere. They are also extremely limited, usually to just 100 copies worldwide.

Review AESTHETIC PERFECTION, the harsh EBM/dark electro project of American frontman Daniel Graves, have toured extensively with the likes of COMBICHRIST and GRENDEL and their album "A Violent Emotion" has already been a smash hit in the U.S. (Bractune) and Europe (Out Of Line). Review "Tendencias Suicidas" is the first release from Mexican harsh EBM act C-LEKKTOR since their acclaimed 2008 debut "The Silence Procession" announced their arrival on the world industrial music scene. Creating brutal harsh dance music in the vein of fellow Mexicans HOCICO and AMDUSCIA, C-LEKKTOR have remixed leading acts like SUICIDE COMMANDO and FGFC820, and have appeared live in both North and South America plus their native Mexico, opening for such bands as GRENDEL and HOCICO. Like "The Silence Procession", C-LEKKTOR's new EP "Tendencias Suicidas" is again powerfully mixed and mastered by Jan L (NOISUF-X/X-FUSION), and in addition to four brand new tracks features remixes from FGFC820 and ALIEN VAMPIRES among others. Review Since their 2005 debut "Hrs:Min:Sec" for Infacted Recordings, XP8 - Marco Visconti (ex-GRENDEL, ex-UNTER NULL) and Marko Resurreccion - have become famous for their danceable music and energetic live performances, including major scene festival Wave Gotik Treffen in Germany, and a US tour with Metropolis act SYSTEM SYN in 2008, and also as remixers for acts like ICON OF COIL, UNTER NULL and DOPE STARS INC. Review GRENDEL is without doubt one of the biggest names on the electro-industrial scene and the long-awaited "Chemicals + Circuitry" was one of the most eagerly-anticipated releases ever for all fans of this genre. Review DOPE STARS INC.'s first 2 albums "Neuromance" and "Gigahearts" achieved massive sales and media attention across Europe and the US, gaining chart positions in many countries. Review At Death Watch Asia, they are always on the look out for the best new acts from around the world, of which PANIC LIFT is most definitely one. With its perfect production and memorable melodic hooks, "Witness to our Collapse" is one of those rare albums where almost every track could be a single. All the more amazing when remembering that this is PANIC LIFT's debut! This is a harsh-EBM/dark electro album, certainly - and full of incredibly powerful tracks that would instantly fill any club dancefloor - but with so much variety that it keeps the listener's attention fully engaged from start to finish. Pounding beats and sequencers, aggressive distorted vocals - the trademarks of the harsh EBM genre are all here. But so too are trip-hop beats, piano and guitars, more reminiscent of NINE INCH NAILS. Formed in New York in 2006, PANIC LIFT self-released an EP "Dancing Through the Ashes" which quickly sold out as the act moved swiftly to the forefront of the harsh EBM/dark electro scene in America, playing with artists such as COMBICHRIST, AYRIA and MODULATE. A stateside record deal with HIVE followed, leading to the American release in August 2008 of PANIC LIFT's debut full-length album "Witness To Our Collapse". Later in 2008, PANIC LIFT were signed by German label Black Rain/NoiTekk for the European release of the album. Review JABBERWOCK are a unique and powerful rising force in the European alternative music scene. Many acts claim that their music has a variety of influences, but few are able to mix those influences into something fresh and individual as effectively as this female-fronted French electro-punk three piece. With their stunning second album "Sweet Limbo", JABBERWOCK have created a work of incredible depth and diversity. Yet it is also one where no track sounds out of place, and where every song sounds like JABBERWOCK - even the cold and sinister cover of CHIC's "Le Freak". Review BAK XIII are the dark electro/new wave powerhouse from Switzerland, combining modern industrial production with classic old-school EBM sequencing: 21st Century music with punk attitude and a retro feel evidenced by song-titles like "80s Are Back Forever" and "New Wave Party". In Europe, BAK XIII have toured with such top names on the electro-industrial scene as SUICIDE COMMANDO, FRONT 242 and DAS ICH, and have remixed or been remixed by top artists like PSYCHE, HIV+ and THE NEON JUDGEMENT. Review Formed in the UK by KILLING JOKE keyboard player Reza Udhin, INERTIA released their first MCD "Infiltrator" on the German label Celtic Circle in 1995 to widespread critical acclaim. As a result of the popularity of "Infiltrator", between 1995-1996 INERTIA were invited to play across Europe - including an appearance at Wave Gotik Treffen 1996. The success in America of their second MCD "Mind Energy" and their debut album "Programmed to Respond" (1997) led to INERTIA's first full-length US tour, supporting DAS ICH. Since 1997, INERTIA have returned to Wave Gotik Treffen (1999), have played several lengthy headline tours of the US (with support from acts such as TERRORFAKT and PROJECT-X), and have released a further four albums: "Negative Prime" (1999), "Advanced Revelation" (2002), "Black Ice Impact" (2004), "Inertia" (2007), plus two remix albums "Demagnetized/Remagnetized" (1999) and "Positive Angel" (2000). In 2006, the American label Cleopatra celebrated 10 years of INERTIA's career by releasing a double disc 'Best Of' compilation, "Decade of Machines", and INERTIA returned to the US to tour again, this time with legendary German electro outfit ARMAGEDDON DILDOS. The current release, another WORLD EXCLUSIVE from Death Watch Asia, contains ten remixes of songs from the most recent album "Inertia", plus the music video for "The Preacher". Remix artists include legendary names like DIE KRUPPS, YOUTH (KILLING JOKE) and ARMAGEDDON DILDOS as well as Japanese acts DIABOLIC ART (DJ Taiki), SINS OF THE FLESH and 2 BULLET. Review Some groups like SIVA SIX have successfully switched to the electro-industrial scene from their origins in black metal. Like PSYCLON NINE before them, DAWN OF ASHES seem to be currently moving in the opposite direction: from dark electro to death metal. Currently recording what will be their third studio album "Genocide Chapters", DAWN OF ASHES have now adopted SLIPKNOT-style masks and an expanded line-up featuring live drums, bass and guitar. However, prior to this apparent change of musical direction they have been responsible for two of the electro-industrial scene's most powerful recent albums - in the shape of their 2006 debut "In the Acts of Violence" and the widely-praised follow-up "The Crypt Injection". And now Death Watch Asia is bringing these two brilliant albums together in one beautiful collector's edition package. Including remixes from FGFC820, ASLAN FACTION, XP8 and DIOXYDE, plus the music video for "Torture Device", this is a non-stop sensory assault of electro-horror. It is packaged in an all-new 6-panel digipak modelled on the artwork of the original Noitekk releases, plus obi and Japanese liner-notes insert from DWA, it also contains the two original 8-page booklets from the individual Noitekk European editions of each album.
