Review
Their debut-album was album of the month in German music-magazine Zillo and Accessory are praised as THE electro-newcomers of the year 2001, not only as studio band but also as highly respected live act (they played all big Festivals in Germany last year) As well as 3 remixes of tracks from their debut album ''Jukka2147.de'', this EP contains 5 ALL NEW songs, that will appeal to fans of the sound of early Frontline Assembly. Even more catchy and better produced than their album, Accessory deliver an 8 track mini-album, that confirms their superiority on 99% of all German Electro-acts. This is definitely a step forward for this talented act!

Review
Accessory are without a doubt setting new standards in Electro! Far away from the usual uniformed electro, Accessory deliver an album of outstanding class. Complex, multi-facetted and enormously club compatible with tracks such as "Deadline", "Livehammer" or "Killing Machines". On the roots of bands such as Frontline Assembly and (early) Mentallo and the Fixer, Accessory are about to catapult real heavy EBM, played with the technology of today, into the new Millenium. Out of Line has been building up this band over a long period of time already and thanks to the bands deal with an important German booking agency, Accessory have been playing in front of thousands of people this summer on festivals like Wave Gothik Treffen, Doomsday and MenschMachine 2000 as well as support act on And Ones last German Tour. With their hitalbum "Jukka2147.de", Accessory are destined to become THE new reference for German Electro.

Forever And Beyond |

Review
Finally returning after two years of silence, one of the biggest names in the German EBM scene returns with a brand new Limited Edition album. "Forever and Beyond" builds upon the solid work displayed on 2003's "Titan" release - with the trio from Chemnitz delivering top-notch quality in all areas : A seriously fat production with hard beats and driving sequencers brings out the best in their tremendously versatile material, from hardfloor-thunderstorms, as found on opening cut "The Faint", via dark mid-tempo electro-avalanches, to hit-laden melodic EBM tunes, like the guaranteed floor-filler, "Mastermind" - "Forever And Beyond" delivers everything an electro-fan could hope for uniting hard dancefloor beats with blazing future pop melodies. Dirk Steyer ( vocals ) veers from masterly aggression to dark melodic incantations in the style of cult acts such The Fair Sex or Front 242. Musically, Accessory mingle the best from all electronic worlds : modern sounds meet the sequencer infernos of old schol EBM, aggression stands side by side with melody, and darkness alternates with light. A great return from Accessory, confirming their position as one of Germany's strongest and biggest EBM / Electro acts.

Electro - Industrialists Agonoize strike again with their fourth release "Evil Gets An Upgrade" : A pummeling 13 track ( 7 new songs, 5 remixes and 1 Video-Track ) extended maxi EP inferno of crashing, distorted beats, head-thumping sequencers and vocals that seems to have been spawned from the depths of hell...Combining the dark schizophrenia of the early Skinny Puppy releases, merged with the modern bulldozer sound of bands such as Suicide Commando and Hocico, Agonoize deliver an electronic thunderstorm that is sure to catapult them to the top reaches of the industrial scene with each song on "Evil Gets An Upgrade" a potential floor breaker that will control alternative club dance-floors. Review
After more than 3 years of waiting and numerous, extremely successful compilation appearances, Germany's Out of Line Label finally announce the release of the debut full-length album by the next Mexican Industrial sensation AMDUSCIA. To quote the OOL label :
''Never before have fans have been bombarding us with requests for a new release in such an extreme way - as for this debut. We are absolutely sure, that with AMDUSCIA we signed an act, that will have a similiarly extreme and powerful impact on the electro / industrial scene, as only Hocico before ! AMDUSCIA are the second coming, the second invasion of Mexican brutality and our 'local European' acts better get prepared for this massive strike of power from the land of the Aztecs...'' - Out of Line Records
Amduscia present uncompromising Dark Electro with slight trance-influences in a danceability and harshness never heard before ! The sound reflects the abyss metropolis of Mexico ( the inspiration for ''Melodies For The Devil'' ) in which millions of people experience a daily fight for survival...An album far removed from cliche, fashion and trends ''Melodies For The Devil'' is a searing powerhouse of dark-electro drawing on personal expieriences delivered in an honest and uncompromising fashion. THE upcoming dark-electro band of the year !

Review
Mexican Killer-Electro-Cyborgs Amduscia strike back with their long-awaited new long player ! "From Abuse to Apostasy", is not for the faint of heart as an inferno of scathing beats, hardfloor sequencers, trance-elements and attacks of vocal damnation are unleashed upon the listener. The Mexican trio, renowned for drawing its musical strength from an intelligent play with extremes ( a trademark that they drive home with utter perfection on this new album ) perfectly combine ultra-aggressive phased vocals with uncompromising beats and infiltrating, highly melodic trance hooks. Assimilating undergroung dancefloor everywhere with its unflinching display of psychotice electro-disco, "From Abuse to Apostasy" firmly palces Amduscia alongside Suicide Commando, Hocico et.all in the realms of pummeling dancefloor electro...

Review
After having caused quite a stir in the scene with a line of floor fillers featured on several compilation releases ( among them a stunning remake of The Normal's classic "Warm Leatherette" ) German trio Analogue Brain finally release their full length debut album for Germany's premiere electro label Out Of Line. Following two compilation track club hits released earlier in 2005 ( "Fly In An Amber" on Machineries Of Joy Vol.III and "Dead Keen On ( Cut One )" from "This Is Techno Body Music Vol.I" ) "Electroshock" does not disappoint the high expectations promised with these tracks. Analogue Brain bring together the power of old EBM with the catchy melodies of synth pop, driving contemporary electro with the minimalism of the 80's and trance leads with analogue coolness. Olaf Wollschläger, who has been behind the helm for bands like Melotron, In Strict Confidence and as a remixer for Paradise Lost, provides the eleven floor shakers with a broad production that renders this electro shocker a smallmasterpiece. The band provides some thunderous tunes that take the listener on a rollercoaster ride of thudding beat infernos, tough driving sequencers, energetic atmospheres and emotion.

Review
A blazing appetizer to And One's Brand New album due Summer 2006 - "Military Fashion Show" is their first release for new label Out Of Line and returns And One to the forefront of the Electro / Body-Pop scene. The title track is an infernal b*****d, bred from stomping EBM beats, weirdly beautiful synthesizer hooks and highly memorable melodies - addictive Body-Pop at its best ! "Military Fashion Show" contains all the ingredients of a typical And One anthem and yet manages to sound fresh, dirty and new at the same time. The two other new tracks on the single do not fail to amaze either : "Beauty Clown" is one of those strange and provocative German Electro Pop songs with which Steve Naghavi always manages to take the crowds by storm. After that, "Computerstar" revs up the blistering beats to embark on a synthetic transfer from neuro transmitters to computer to dancefloor. "Military Fashion Show" is And One in its purest form...

| Beyond The Void |
I Am Your Ruin |
|
|
£2.99 |

Review
A new star has risen in the realm of dark, atmospheric rock music ! On their new long player, "I Am Your Ruin", Munich dark rockers Beyond the Void merge the melancholy feel of New Wave with the bombastic guitar riffs of Heavy Metal, the addictive melody lines of Alternative Rock and a little bit of Gothic gloom. This mixture results in a highly contemporary sound that can easily match the genre's stars like HIM, Zeraphine or Scream Silence regarding intensity and accessibility, but does not copy any of these group's styles. Beyond the Void show an absolute mastery at slowly building tension that will then unload in powerful guitar riff attacks and wonderfully melodic chorus parts. The powerful voice of lead singer Daniel Pharos effortlessly carries the complex song structures and switches from goose bump-inducing deep crooning to a melodic tenor voice that does not look in any way inferior to established vocalists such as Ville Valo. Beyond the Void put more musical emphasis on the overall atmopheres and spice up their complex sound with a lot of extra elements, such as finely arranged string parts or symphonic bursts of female choir. There is little doubt that with an album as strong as "I Am Your Ruin", the sextet from Munich has the potential to rise to the top of the Modern Goth and Love Metal leagues ...

Finde Deinen Damon |

£7.99 |

Review
With their debut release, "Engel Sterben Nie", German trio Cephalgy managed to cause quite a stir in the dark electro scene. Their addictive mixture of tight electronic beats, dark but melodic songs that do not fear to breach the barrier towards harder EBM, and intense and provocative lyrics earned praise from both critics and scene aficionados. On their second album, "Finde Deinen Dämon", Cephalgy build on their strenghths and drive their style to utter perfection. The music has become more versatile : floor fillers with alternating male and female vocals ( similar in style to scene stars Blutengel ) - stand side by side with heavy, EBM-laden electro-anthems and electro-goth-infused atmospheric tunes. On the lyrical side, however, the band has not become any tamer and invites the listener to trips into the private hell of the darkest abysses of the human soul and to acoustic horror movies that are further enforced by provocative samples. Like a good horror film "Finde Deinen Dämon" penultimatel draws its strength from the confrontation with the dark side - driven by a merciless beat and an addictive bass line and drawn in by the maelstrom of dark thoughts and lyrics. Limited Edition first pressing presented in a Deluxe Digipak ( unfolding ino the shape of a cross ) with a state of the art embossed cover print.

Client take the wheel on "Drive" is an anthemic night-ride thru the pulsating neon-lit world of an unnamed metropolis. Dark lyrical contents fuse with pure pop melodies performed with the stylish attitude that makes Client stand out from the crowd : Minimal, electronic coolness, enhanced with a tad of subversive vitality, and intertwined with melodic bass lines that seem to originate straight out of a classic New Order. The second single from their upcoming third album, "Heartland" ( produced by Youth - The Verve, Primal Scream ) and Stephen Hague ( New Order ) the hottest all-girl-trio in Electro Pop again successfully keep the balance between fire and ice. This single is released in two different Versions, each one containing an Exclusive B-Side-song, plus Club Remixes by DJ's ( such as Boosta and Lexy & K-Paul to name a few )

Review
The most alluring trio in Electro Pop return with a Brand new single ! "Lights Go Out" is a sexy, electronic, dark and melodic Glam-Disco slice of infectiously sultry electronic pop . The trio manage to draw an immense power and impact from combining the seemingly opposing forces of a sleazy rock'n'roll attitude with a cold 'New Wave' chic. The single contains the regular version of the title track alongside Remixes by Basteroid, Oliver Koletzki & Florian Meindl and Spetsnaz : each one offering an unique perspective from the vast realms of modern electronic music. Satisfaction guaranteed...

Top quality German electro label Out Of Line present CombiChrist the brand new electro / industrial side project from ICON OF COIL vocalist Andy LaPlegua ! Get Your Body Beat |

Review
Andy LaPlegua is back ... with a song that hits like a battle cry ! Combichrist is a name that is firmly synonymous with titanium-strength beats, provocative themes and hook lines that grind into the subconscious - "Get Your Body Beat" bangs out of the speakers like a well-oiled industrial machine : straightforward and merciless. It is seldom that a fusion of EBM, Techno and a hint of Industrial unloads as such a concentrated burst of energy. A catchy chorus that feels like it came straight out of the high times of late Eighties EBM is fused with a modern beat inferno. With three additional floor breakers in the typical Combichrist tradition and the title track in seven versions ( among them remixes by Amduscia, Spetsnaz and KMFDM ), "Get Your Body Beat" delivers high calibre dancefloor power that will not leave a single muscle unmoved...

Review
After a break of nearly two years Out Of Line electro specialists Decoded Feedback return with possibly their most cohesive album ever. "Combustion" sees DF's machinery of destruction once again set in motion - a distrorted clamour of powered-up electronic anthems powering through 12 purging electro assaults. Hardfloor, U.S. Dance / Industrial, Breakbeats and hard, caustic EBM mingle to an unstoppable electro groove set to devastate all in its path : a mutated, destructive, electro avalanche set to unite fans of Hocico and Skinny Puppy, Suicide Commando and Ministry. "Combustion" also includes a cover of the classic Mentallo & the Fixer track "Sacrilege" and a video for the potential hit-song "Hyberia".

| Eminence Of Darkness |
Displace The Trace |
|
|
£7.99 |
 |
Review
German quartet Eminence of Darkness do not adhere to current trends and styles, rather prefering to explore their own particular brand of dark musicaltiy : an exquisite blend of wave guitar, driving electronics, 80's sensibilities and occasional metal riffs. What at first sight might seem like a rather chaotic stylistic mixture gels together extremely well to deliver a hit-laden cornucopia of addictive tunes. The Dark-Wave-elements are significantly beefed-up by setting them against an electronic background, while the bursts of hard guitar provide intense dynamic peaks, with the light Eighties touch giving touches of melodic relief. The musical atmosphere that results from bringing together these diverse voices and elements creates a unique album experience that is both intense and fun : music for the heart, legs and brain that will appeal to such diverse audiences as fans of Depeche Mode, The Cure, Terminal Choice, Placebo, The Birthday Massacre or recent Apoptygma Berzerk. "Displace The Trace"is bound to captivate anyone who is into songs that have got both zest and atmosphere and successfully adapts 80's feelings for the new millennium !

Review
Daniel Myer's electronic cult pseudonym returns with an innovative remix album of a different kind. Having received worldwide critical acclaim for their pioneering attitude towards electro / electronic music Haujobb's consistently brilliant output has seen them rise to one of the most respected artists / remixers within the genre. Never standing still, their evolution has seen them constantly pushing at the boundaries of modern EBM / Electro effortlessly veering from dance floor manoeuvres to stunning experimentalism - always keeping the senses alert for the next era in cutting edge electronic music. Not content with simply release an album of 'club-orientated' dance remixes, with "Vertical Mixes" Myer and Co seize the opportunity to create something totally new, invigorating and refreshing : twisting, reconstructing, forging and deconstructing the given musical material to create a mind bending bridge between their own musical mix of industrial and EBM and modern electronica / electronix. Withthe help of collaborators such as This Morn Omina and Iscoloscope, Glis, Seabound, Hecq, Asche and Backlash they catapult their sound into the new Millennium with a combination of steam-hammer EBM, ambient atmospherics and experimental electronics sounds. Simply put "Vertical Mixes" delivers futuristic EBM at its best.

Review
The brand new album from Mexico's finest Hocico - "Wrack And Ruin" continues the evolution of earths mightiest electro / industrial duo. Following the path laid down with "Signos De Aberracion" in 2002 ( with only the fan-placating "Hate Never Dies" remix release in the interim ) "Wrack And Ruin" delivers a storming set of ten essential compositions, cementing Hocico's position as possibly the biggest cult-electro act around today. Replete with their trademark sonic barrage of twisted dark electro-club assaults, blended off-kilter melodies and intense / hard as hell beats and rhythyms - all laced with Erk Aicrag's hatefilled and harsh distorted vocals - "Wreck And Ruin" sets a benchmark in new electro / industrial music. Essential.

Review
Finally, the time has come ! Immediately after the release of the "Out of Line Festival" DVD ( which included some live clips of Hocico ) fans started to feverishly demand the release of a complete show from the legendary Mexican Harsh Electro duo. Little wonder, as the Hardfloor-Electro pioneers enjoy the reputation of being one of the best live bands in the scene ( on CD, Hocico's music obviously lacks the visual component and impact of a frenetic Erk Aicrag, drenched in sweat, giving his very last bit of energy as if his life were depending on it ). On March 10th 2006, the first Hocico DVD, aptly titled "A Través De Mundos Que Arden" ( "Through Worlds That Burn" ) will finally see the light of day - Erk and Racso have been extremely busy putting together a massive collection of Exclusive Material, Bonus Interviews and Unreleased live shows on what must be the definitive collection of Hocico material for their ravenous fans. The DVD not only features a complete recording of the group's show atthe M'Era Luna Festival in 2005 ( presented in superior picture and audio quality ) but also a very impressive array of Bonus material : different live recordings across the planet, rare behind-the-scenes snippets and documentaries, TV-performances, short films, the group's live projections, interviews and the rare and sought after animated video clip to "Born to be ( Hated )". Finally the vivid destructive energy of a Hocico live performance can finally be relived within the confines of one's own four walls ! An essential feast for fans and those that wish to become captivated by the electronic madness of the Mexican legends .. because the phenomenon of Hocico can only be fully grasped when experienced live.

Review
Bringing together the undisputed talents of Mike Johnson and Oliver Senger ( of Agonoize and Sero.Overdose ) cult electro act Infekktion finally return after two years with a Brand New album for Germany's Out Of Line label. Containing 14 tracks of all new material "Suffering Spirits" pushes the bounderies of modern day electro into something new, fresh and innovative. Perfectly crafted yet brutal dancefloor-slammers stand side by side with calm, ambient tracks and seemingly opposing styles - a mesmerising combination of Hardfloor-Dance / Industrial, Ambient and EBM - wickedly concocted into one dextrous mix of burning electronix and sweeping programming skills. Fittingly, "Suffering Spirits" employs the whole spectrum of vocal styles evident in today's electro scene, mingling Agonoize-like aggressive screams with clean, melodic hooks and a calm, almost narrative recitation. Each track on the album carries the distinct trademark sound of the two musicians, resulting in a very diverse, yet still hmogenous listening experience. For those longing for an exciting and sophisticated piece of Electro that can shake the dance floor and be a fascinating listening experience at the same time - look no further than "Suffering Spirits" - a one of a kind electronic experience !

Review
The Swiss Electro-Goth-Industrial-Rock-psychos strike again ! After causing quite a stir in the scene with their debut, "Hammering On The Gates Of Heaven", they now serve up an apocalyptic second dish in the shape of "Satan's Little Helpers." Son Ov David and his diabolical instrument-destructors have gathered an illustrious group from the ranks of the most influential musicians in the Electro-scene today in order to dress selected tracks of their industro-electronic goth-rock-madness in a whole new acoustic gown. The resulting re- and deconstructions of the band's hit tunes sound just as diverse as the list of people involved - BLUTENGEL, TUMOR, FEINDFLUG, CEPHALGY and PAL to name a few...With tracks ranging from straight Industrial, via Electroclash with heavy influences of early 80's Breakdance, down to ultra-brutal noise - all of the mixes have one thing in common : they kick a** like hell with all artists contributing beyond the call of duty ! Jesus And The Gurus wild mixture of Industrial la NIN, Goth Rock à la Sisters Of Mercy, EBM and Sleaze Rock à la Zodiac Mindwarp is bound to rally even more fans to their cause. As a special Bonus "Satans Little Helpers" contains the brilliant, hellishly satirical-satanical videoclip to "Simulator".

Review
In October we will finally see the release of the new album by US-Electronic masters Matrix, the band that successfully toured Germany last year with Terminal Choice and whose hit ''Silence'' (from Awake the Machines Vol. 3) is on heavy rotation these days in all German Clubs ! ''The War is Over'' promises to be another smasher on Out of Line. The album was co-produced by ASSEMBLAGE 23 and Matrix offer a very original symbiosis between hard, danceable US-Eletro a la Flesh Field or Assemblage 23, intertwined with elements of European Future Pop. Potential hits such as ''Man or Machine'', the mentioned ''Silence'' and ''Future War'' will appeal to their increasing communion of fans as much as the darker pop-ballad ''Where are you?''. As special bonus, the album also includes a remix by Terminal Choice. All in all, an album full of catchy melodies & danceable electrohymns that will for sure find the approval of the European and American electro crowd.

The name Necessary Response ( Daniel Long of Aesthetic Perfection ) has been present on the Electro scene for quite some time with hit club singles "Forever" and "Spilling Blood" ( on the compilations "Machineries of Joy Vol. 3 and Vol. 4" ) taking clubs by storm. Debut album "Blood Spills Not Far From The Wound" mixes a mighty dark sound with sonic ambience and addictive melodies built upon a solid foundation of Future Pop, TBM and Industrial influences. Review
Heavy beats from the North ! On his debut album "Force It", Christian Lund ( Icon of Coil ) combines Techno Body Music with an Industrial edge. Following the club-storming single "The Pill" ( included with the compilation "Industrial for the Masses Vol. 3" ) this tour-de-force album is for those seeking an even harder edge to TBM - Northborne certainly know how to deliver a huge beat, looking to shake dancefloors with subsonic bass lines and effective distortion. "Force It" introduces a refreshing rawness back into the club circuit with its mercilessly addictive drive...

Review
Now signed to legendary electro label Out Of Line, Proceed take the future of hard electronic EBM by storm : "Neusprache" takes care to navigate around the trance and techno cliches that can afflict some releases, delivering a steaming electro soundtrack that firmly takes root in the virtues of old school Electronic Body Music : fast paced sequencers and thudding synthetic beats further enhanced with a subtle use of modern elements - augmenting the rhythmic inferno with spacious percussion and a grand palette of electronic sound generators that today's producers have at their fingertips. The aggressive vocals and intelligent lyrics of Proceed easily convince anyone that they are not dealing with just another retro-unit as they effectively meld the driving, unrestricted power of the old school with the aggression of modern Electro, resulting in music that will please and appeal to both fans of Nitzer Ebb and Hocico. Produced by the talented hands of Pontus Stahlberg ( of Spetsnaz ), "Neusprache" s an intelligent electronic assault that works as well on the dancefloor as in your personal headspace, delivering music for the mind and body to enjoy...

Review
Long out of print, this gem of an album has become a highly sought-after rarity in fan circles of Blutengel-mastermind, Chris Pohl. More than with any other project of Pohl's, music and lyrics revolve around one central concept... that of fetishism. What makes Seelenkrank so special is that the focus is put not only on the archetypical themes of sadomasochistic nature, but also concentrates on Pohl's obsession with blood and vampirism. Driven to perfection on this second output, Seelenkrank's music stands as a superb example as to what Fetish-Electro should sound like.. spiced up with Chris Pohl's very own stylistic specialties : cold, hard beats meet dark and often distorted vocals that dress the dominating blood fantasies into a fitting gown. But all the coldness and sterility is often torn apart by very slow and melancholy black ballads that go to show that, although the predominant image of the scene might lead the uninitiated to believe otherwise, fetish is all about emotions. The music of eelenkrank draws a perfect logical bridge between the hard, dark Electro of early Terminal Choice to the electronic goth elegies of Blutengel today... and thereby sounds all but antiquated. Club smashers, like ''Black Goddess'', still manage to fill the dance floor at every goth joint they are played at today... and can now be enjoyed in a fat, bass-thumping remastered sound. For Blutengel-fans, ''Engelsschrei'' is an exciting history lesson on the musical background of their favourite group and offers a whole pallet of wonderfully dark fetish fantasies. The re-release of ''Engelsschrei'' comes in a stylish packaging with superbly revamped sound and belongs into the collection of every aficionado of dark electronic sounds.

Review
With ''Silent Pleasures'' Out Of Line and Fear Section present a long-deleted rarity from the musical mind of Chris Pohl ( of Blutengel and Terminal Choice fame ) again on Compact Disc. This album was the first release of Pohl's fetish-project Seelenkrank and set the foundations for the trademark sound of Blutengel, his band that would later set out to conquer the world. A good example for this is the cult club-classic ''Fallen Angel'' that effectively mingles cold electronic beats, ultra-dark vocals and an addictive chorus featuring female backing vocals to the same kind of intensity that we have come to known from his latter band. "Silent Pleasures" delivers a lot of archetypical fetish electro tunes that emanate their waves of cold synthetic lust. And dark ballads, such as ''Mistress of the Dark'', are bound to warm the vampiric heart of any creature of the night, intense, cold, but also melodic... dark, provocative and yet emotional... these are the most fitting attributes to describe the muic of Seelenkrank. Although, due to the nature of the project's central concept, most of its music is a rougher type of beast than the perfectionist soundscapes of Blutengel, it already breathes the characteristic air that we have come to expect from Mr. Pohl. Due to the blessings of digital remastering, these 16 dark electronic seducers sound fresher and more powerful than ever, and are further enhanced by a deluxe new packaging and design. ''Silent Pleasures'' is a re-release not to be missed and is a must for all Blutengel or Terminal Choice-fans...

Review
After the club hits "Mindsucker" ( from the limited Maxi CD of the same title ) and "In My Head" ( from the "Awake The Machines Vol. 4" sampler ) Out Of Line's new signings deliver their debut album release with another eight quality songs of intense, brooding and dark electro to sit alongside the two previously mentioned tracks. From the 'digital meets analogue' warm / cold atmospheres of the opening track ''Electromensch'', the album personifies a varied approach to song writing, mixing dark, harsh and aggresive club anthems ( all distorted beats and vocals and thunderous rhythms ) alongside an underlying melencholy complete with sublime soundscapes and unforgettable melodies. Another top quality release from one of Germany's leading electro labels.

Review
The cult is back ! Last years "Mind Over Matter" album release rightfully catapulted the German trio Solitary Experiments to a top position in the Electro scene with their catchy mix of electro pop and hard-hitting EBM. Unfortunately, both new and old fans alike have been frustrated trying to source copies of the group's early works : "Final Approach", "Paradox" and "Final Assault". Now, these three long out of print titles return : digitally remastered for brilliant sound quality with completely new and deluxe artwork design and together with Exclusive Unreleased Tracks and Remixes. With their roots firmly planted in hard EBM sounds ( and a good feeling for memorable melodies ) Solitary Confinements deliver Electro anthems that pound forward with pressurized beats and loads of aggression, while never ignoring the need for sublime melody and honest emotion.

Review
German trio Solitary Experiments first new studio output for more than a year : "Mind Over Matter", has them delivering their personal masterpiece. The eloquently weaved melodic tapestry of their songs are presented in huge arrangements - on a direct course to the hearts and minds of electro fans everywhere. Musical maturity spreads throughout all of the albums tracks - fresh, invigorating dancefloor electro infused with addictive melodies, driving synth lines and burning sequences...
From the song "Delight" ( recently unveiled on the fifth instalment of the popular compilation series "Awake the Machines" ) - a perfect representation of the entire album : there is hardly a melodic electro tune from the past few months that has so clearly written the phrase "Floor Filler" all over it - a devilishly beautiful song that will have fans humming its addictive chorus / melody for ages. Though putting a high focus on the melodic aspect of their songs, Solitary Experiments never make the mistake of retreating to softened up banality, taking care to attire their tracks with booming bass beats that delve into hard EBM territories and synthpop / future pop influences with thick sequences and driving analogue leads to the fore.

Spetsnaz - a name that has become synonymous for Electronic Body Music in its purest incarnation. Swedish Electro / EBM duo Pontus Stålberg and Stefan Nilsson are back ! Armed with increased musical firepower they take the EBM world by storm on Brand New album "Totalitar" - a musical firestorm of stomping hard beats and brutal sequencer loops. Each beat and each note fits tightly in its place, the rhythms lash brutally, the sequencers push mercilessly with all unnecessary ornamentation discarded in favour of melody and rhythm. The scene has been eagerly awaiting a new long player of these saviours of the classic EBM sound now, finally, their call has been heeded and "Totalitär" delivers 13 excellent EBM hits : high class, pure energy aggressive dance music, tunes to sweat to, electronic steam hammers overflowing with emotions and power.

Don't Go |

£2.99 |

Review
Limited Edition Single ! After almost three years away, Chris Pohl's ( Blutengel etc.. ) cult group Terminal Choice return with guitar amps cranked to 11, transforming Yazoo's Eighties classic "Don't Go" into a heavy grinding, slow-motion-Industrial-Metal attack on the dancefloor. Pohl's characteristic deep vocal timbre and the typical electronic Terminal Choice approach fuse the song's light Synth Pop feeling with a thudding note of Goth-Electro that seems predestined to fill dance floors in dark underground discotheques. The two B-side songs continue down the path that the group started pursuing with "Menschenbrecher" .. but with a much harder and more aggressive sound. Mixed by cult-producer John Fryer ( Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, HIM ), Terminal Choice in the year 2006 have become a mighty b*****d child spawned from Electro and roaring guitars that stand shoulder to shoulder with similar well established acts. "Don't Go" is a tasty appetizer that raises expectations for the next TerminalChoice album due for release in July 2006.

Total World Paranoia |

Review
There are lot of dark melodic rock albums that mingle the melancholy pathos of Goth Rock with the aggressive drive of Metal, these days. But only a few manage to combine musical class, versatility and charisma in a way that they effectively manage to stand out from the crowd. Aachen-based group Thora managed to be one of them. On their second album, "Total World Paranoia", they bring together strong melodies, versatile song structures and rhythms, fat riffs and a whole lot of atmosphere in a most convincing manner. Being no friends of musical uniformity, the group churns out straight rockers, dark ballads and a myriad of little surprises. Where similar bands often tend to write all of their songs according to the same structure, Thora seem to be coming up with a string of potential hits with extraordinary ease - be it the very strong opening track, "Something Beautiful", the alternative rocking title song or "Society 2" whose aggressive marching shuffle reminds a bit of Marilyn Manson. Thora brig together the addictive and melancholy melodies of bands like Dreadful Shadows and HIM with the dark metal power of Paradise Lost and yet still manage to keep a distinct identity of their own that is bound to conquer the hearts of the Alternative, Goth and Metal crowds everywhere.

Review
The first official CD single from ex-BLUTENGEL singers Kati and Gini - offering a great blend of gothic atmospheres, catchy melodies and gentle wave sounds with a very poppy edge ! The project ''Tristesse de la Lune'' will include sophisticated darkwave / pop with a number of renowned guest appearances and their first single features Erk Aicrag ( vocalist from Mexican industrial superstars HOCICO ) The single contains two versions of ''Eiskalte Liebe'' (''ice-cold love''), a very danceable and catchy hymn for the wave dancefloors, sung in German & Spanish plus 2 versions of another new song, entitled ''Never'', where the girls sing in English.

Review
In a very short time Trümmerwelten developed into one of the most successful German Dark Electro acts around. This re-release of their successful debut "Digitale Gewaltorgien" and their second album "HerzVerfall" comes as a special double pack 2CD collection, complete with exclusive, never heard before Bonus tracks including a Blutengel remix ! Musically, Trümmerwelten are based on electronic sounds that span from aggressive and danceable to melancholic and sad. The multitude of styles present in their works makes it difficult to classify this act although there are clear influences from acts such as Suicide Commando, L'ame Immortelle, Das Ich and Seelenkrank.

Review
You really wonder what you should expect from an album that starts off with the tape recording of a telephone call in which ASP tells the group that they are totally whacko... right : Tumor are back ! Those who were fast to pigeonhole workaholic and musical multi-talent, Chris Pohl, into being a more mainstreamy dark electro megastar will be sure to change their minds after listening to the newest output of his industrial project. As if to try to prove the statement at the beginning of the record, Pohl kicks off with a totally mad acoustic orgy with cut-up breakbeats, noise and dark soundscapes that sounds like the psychopathological ( is that a word ? ) musical depiction of a tortured soul, only to end with a sample, stating: "Tumor is music for partying". At this point, the listener has to either question his own or the musical creator's sanity. But : Pohl is right, because what follows is a never ending onslaught of hard-driving beats, lashing sequences and dark keyboard atmospherics. A few peces of the mostly instrumental work are christened with Pohl's characteristic voice, making them more than potential floor fillers. As opposed to the major part of his other projects, Tumor follows the simple rule : onward and upward and directly in your face ! Music for partying, indeed..."Welcome Back A**hole" pounds into the listener with incessant industrial mayhem, cleverly interweaving melodic and atmospheric elements with the bulldozer sound of an industrial inferno...

Noise & Grace |

Review
Is there a law that states that you have to do something the same way as everybody else does ? Electro-newcomers UnterArt, from Northern Germany, must have had this or a similar thought in mind while working on their debut album, "Noise And Grace". The album's title can be viewed as rather programmatic : basically, the music of the band could be categorized as "Hard Electro / Industrial" but, after a thorough listen, a categorization suddenly does not seem all that easy. Yes there is enough noise, stomping beats and aggression to provide the hard-Electro-faction with solid dance floor fodder. But ( and this is a big 'but' )...UnterArt enhance their aggro-inferno with an altogether new dimension that could be pretty aptly described with the word 'grace'. Right in the midst of their musical hell made up of thudding beats and aggressive vocals there is a graceful spirit that always provides the listener with soothing moments of light. Melodic elements, clear, emotional vocals and rather catchy hooklines are allowed a solid place within the UnterArt universe. And it is no real surprise that the lyrics also transcend the usual clichés of the genre, circling around a highly diverse complex of themes often bordering on the mystical. Fans of hard Electro will love "Noise & Grace" for its 'noise' aspect ( of which there is a lot ), while people who are usually not too fond of Industrial music will find a lot to enjoy here too. You can choose whatever term you like to describe this unique little niche that UnterArt have created for themselves be it 'Intelligent Industrial' or 'Progressive Hard Electro' there is no way around admitting that UnterArt stand out from the masses with an innovative, refreshingly original and challenging release for which themselves and Germany's Out Of Line label are to be commended.
