Review
New signings to the Alfa Matrix label, Agonised By Love, debut album delivers bombastic electro-wave - emotional, dark electronic music in the vein of 4AD or Projekt acts. The duo offers orchestral and romantic arrangements lead by expressive vocals touching on the catchy dynamics of Clan Of Xymox, the mysterious depths of Diary Of Dreams and the classic allure of Deine Lakaien. Agonised By Love stand at the crossroads where upbeat electronic modernity meets classical romantic darkwave with astounding multi coloured vocal performances bringing reminiscences of The Cure or Depeche Mode. An album of emotion, truth and natural beauty.

Review
Is it Madonna singing D.A.F.? Or maybe FELIX DA HOUSECAT feat. Miss Kitten having a jam session with HUMAN LEAGUE ? ''Debris'' is nothing of these, and yet somehow a bit of it all ! Wrapping you up and plunging you into an explosive cocktail of influences and genres finding its roots in early 80's electronic and ethereal music and evolving towards 21st futuristic electronica, mixed with old-school EBM giving a nod to electro-clash. Above all this is the much anticipated new album by AYRIA ( ex-EPSILON MINUS female lead-singer Jennifer Parkin and GLIS man-machine perfectionist Shaun Frandsen ). Assisted in the studio by an array of special guests including Russia's DJ RAM ( Virtual Server ), HAUJOBB, IRIS & MASSIV IN MENSCH. AYRIA is now ready to take center stage and proudly present their original and extravagant combination of aggressive EBM cuts with more melodic synthpop / techno tracks lavished with rich and expressive female vocals. An astounding palette of edgy electronic styles perfectly itting the impressive vocal range of sexy and sassy Miss Parkin... 100% adrenaline pumping EBM.

Review
Canadian singer Jennifer Parkin has become a true icon on the electronic scene with her unique writing style and personality. After her departure from Epsilon Minus, she shook the foundation of the scene with the extravagant and wildly popular "Debris" album of her solo-project Ayria.
Having performed several guest vocal collaborations and extensively toured North America the last year with Ayria, the time has come for Jennifer to strike back with her new album "Flicker" just after the release of the successful EP "My Revenge On The World". This time, Ayria mixes straight old-school EBM with harsh elektro while still giving a nod to electro-clash and injecting the most diverse influences into her own music ( ranging from Benny Benassi on the opening "It's Been Fun" to old school EBM ą la NITZER EBB on "Selling Rebellion" to 80's electro pop flair on "Be Me" ). On "Flicker", Jennifer Parkin becomes adept of the 'less is more' theory and demonstrates that a minimal melodic approach often makes a bigger impact than complex overloaded song structures, and gives much more open space for her charismatic voice to flourish. "Flicker" comes dressed in a daring flashy green cover that hides the true essence of this very dark and edgy album revealing the impressive vocal range of sexy and sassy Mss Parkin at her best.

Review
In what music industry insiders are already calling "the biggest industrial supergroup since Pigface" and "frontrunner for single of the year," New York City's DJ REXX ARKANA has teamed up with members of the dark electronic music scene's biggest acts to release his debut original music project, BRUDERSCHAFT. With a name most befitting the immensity of the project, BRUDERSCHAFT ( "Brotherhood" ) features REXX ARKANA ( lyrics ), SEBASTIAN KOMOR of ICON OF COIL ( music ), RONAN HARRIS of VNV NATION ( lead vocals ), STEPHAN GROTH of APOPTYGMA BERZERK ( backing vocals ) and JOAKIM MONTELIUS of COVENANT (loops). The first single from the band,"Forever," is a tribute to Arkana's father, whose death from cancer in 1999 was the inspiration for the song's emotionally powerful lyrics. "After my father passed away, I wrote the song in his name," Arkana informs. "I sent the lyrics to Ronan, who immediately offered his involvement in the project and the idea of BRUDERSCHAFT was born." Over the course of the ext three years, the remaining members of BRUDERSCHAFT came together, each contributing their unique talent to the project. The end result is the 80 minute "Forever" EP, already the most anticipated release of the coming year. In keeping with the song's original intent, all net profits from the sales of "Forever" will benefit cancer research and treatment.

Review
After a very promising debut album, recent highly acclaimed appearances on an impressive list of high-profile compilations, ( ''Septic 5'', ''Infacted Vol. 2'', ''Endzeit Bunkertracks Vol 1'', ''Advanced Electronics 4'' ) and the instant summer chart / club success of the ''After Einstein'' EP, Diskonnekted unveil their Brand New album ''Neon Night''. Considered by many as one of the most promising and fastest ascending new signings on the Alfa Matrix label, Diskonnekted will rapidly make the genre's most established acts watch their backs. As a natural offshoot of his Belgian electro-roots, Jan Dewulf combines electro-influences with all the cutting edge genres of alternative dance music such as progressive techno, break beat and even trance to name a few. The result is a fresh combination and clever use of sounds, catchy beats and a pronounced sense for melody. Distinctive male vocal performances similar to the likes of Apoptygma Berzerk and Fluke sharpen the edges of the songs. Next to its to-notch production skills, ''Neon Night'' also has the luxurious advantage of being a perfectly balanced album. Deep-mellow atmospheric modern synth tunes like ''Be Cool'' and the chilling lounge-like ''Meeting Falkor'' are the perfect contrast to Diskonnekted's future pop anthems ( the ultimate hit ''After Einstein'', the carrying ''Atlantis'' or the U.N.K.L.E.-like ''Natural'' as well as the excellent ''Neon Dream'' ). And beware, Diskonnekted are also stocked to the hilt with more frontal EBM cuts such as the powerful ''Broken'', the harsher ''Danger'' and the brutal ''Religion'' with Johan Van Roy ( SUICIDE COMMANDO ) as guest vocalist ! On ''Neon Night'' Diskonnekted manage to ally consistency and diversity on a strong and coherent album that will please fans and newcommers alike.

Review
DIVE vs. DISKONNEKTED is a clash of generations... a clash of sounds ! Fascinated by the intricate production skill and strong electronic arrangements of the young and talented Belgian artist Jan Dewulf ( DISKONNEKTED ), Dirk Ivens invited him to collaborate on a conceptual EP. Through his work with KLINIK, DIVE and SONAR, Dirk Ivens is renown as one of the few prominent figures from the Belgian EBM / Industrial scene next to FRONT 242 and NEON JUDGEMENT. This challenging collaboration results in the striking 8-track "Frozen" EP giving a modern twist to dark and distorted tracks haunted by Dirk Ivens' cold and shivering vocals. Armed with two guaranteed instant club-hits: "Frozen" and "Do You Believe It", DIVE vs. DISKONNEKTED is ready to blast its icy assault on the world's underground dancefloors. Additionally the duo are backed in their sonic attack by prestigious remixers such as LEAETHER STRIP, NUMB ( back from the grave ! ), COMBICHRIST and rising label mates INURE. Another perfect demonstation of what top quality electronic music 'made in Belgium' means... Play it loud !

Discovered by their like-minded counterparts The Retrosic, German electro act Dunkelwerk finally unveil their Brand New debut album for the Alfa Matrix label. After several remixes and compilation appearances the time has now come to unleash one of the darkest Electro assaults in years...
Stunning debut ''Troops'' takes its influence from the searing imagery and barren wastelands of WW I and II - strong, powerfull electronics combine with sorrowful orchestral arrangements and surging, marching beats to create a towering atmosphere of loneliness, defeat and despair. Dunkelwerk invite the listener on one of the darkest sonic journeys on the Alfa Matrix label to date, with tracks such as ''Bastard'', ''Underfire'', ''Die Sechste Armee'', ''Hymn'' and ''Dresden'' 100% club assaults benefiting from the trained ears of sound engineer Len Lemeire ( Implant, Anne Clarke ) Dunkelwerk deliver uncompromising Endzeit Electro with a strong attitude and imagery comparable to :Wumpscut: and The Retrosic but with their own sound and conceptual approach. This Standard Version of ''Troops'' also includes 2 BONUS Remixes from Plastic Noise Expierience and The Retrosic.

After guest appearances on Various Artists Samplers ''Cyberlab Vol 3'' and ''Love & Death'' this IS a Fantastic Future Pop (Fashionable term but VERY fitting here) release from Toronto based electro duo Epsilon Minus. Breathtaking EBM / FP enlivened by lush and dynamic female vocals, edgy melodic EBM club tracks and a musical formula that makes them stand out as special and unique. Imagine a kind of powerful version of Covenant with a sensual bitchy female vocalist and a hint of heavenly darkness. From the hard-hitting club-hits ''Freedom'' and ''Through'' you can sing along in no time to the darker realms of songs like ''Faceless Whispers'', the angry ''Protection'' or yet the trip-hop ''Lost'', through more experimental cuts like the semi-acoustic ballad ''Nothing Is Indestructible'' or the modern and pumping ''Antigravity''. Review
A year since their successful self-titled debut, Toronto based electro duo EPSILON MINUS return to take control of the dancefloor once again with their new full-length album ''MARK II''. Defying genre conventions and mixing elements from all over the electronic spectrum, from trance to techno, triphop to synthpop, EBM to IDM. With a modern motif and retro sensibilities, ''MARK II'' strips away the pretentions of the dark electronic scene, leaving a core of pulsing melodic cyberpunk fronted by clean, strong female vocals. From the forceful ''Ocean Floor'', the edgy ''Just Another Longshot'', the instrumental assault of ''No Future'' and the ultimate eighties pop item ''80s Boy'' are the band's new anthems for the clubs.

Review
After their highly praised ''Shaper and Mechanist'' debut album and several successful EP's, the Montreal based electro duo Headscan have joined Belgian label Alfa Matrix for their stunning and visionary second album. ''Pattern Recognition'' comes packed with futuristic dancefloor pounding music and entangling dark vivid soundscapes. Their haunting vocals fuse with relentless beats and powerful hypnotic sequences with a strong and up front presence, but at times the vocals dive into the abyss, lurking within the driving rhythms and loops only to resurface again like a haunting message from another dimension. Headscan showcase their talents by impressively combining the best elements of electro, techno, and industrial that all result in a sound that is fresh, exciting and always holding true to its predecessors in electronic music. This new album is a groundbreaking step for one of Canada's surging talents and a definite highlight this winter on Alfa Matrix. A mind-blowing sonic assault that offes a window to what the future of electronic music will ultimately be and firmly places Headscan amongst the elite of electro industrial artists.

Review
Follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album "Apparitions: Revisited", Hungry Lucy return with an enchanting album of trip hop electronica with a dark vibe. Early comparisons drew influences from PORTISHEAD, but this new release spreads its net wider encompasing a broad cross-referance of influences : from the challenging atmospheres of DEAD CAN DANCE, the pop appeal of BEL CANTO and the mysterious ethnic grooves of DELERIUM. "Glo" continues the American duo's tradition of mellow gothic grooves, catchy melodies and Christa Belle's enchanting vocals. Also features 5 astounding bonus electronic (and mostly more club oriented) remixes by famous artists / producers : CHANDEEN, THE DREAMSIDE, NEIKKA RPM, D-KOY, and SEIZE. A must for all fans of ethereal, gothic, romantic, synth-wave music.

Review
Illinois-based quartet I:SCINTILLA have rapidly made their mark with their intoxicating blend of industrial beats and atmospheric creations. The seductive voice of female singer Brittany Bindrim instantly brought the band comparisons to GARBAGE, EVANESCENCE and THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, while their intricate layers of guitars and synths bring them closer in feel to artists like GRAVITY KILLS, STABBING WESTWARD, and NINE INCH NAILS!
Their combination of hard-edged industro goth, crunchy guitars, trip-hop beats, psychedelic grooves, intense female vox and whirling electro mayhem is addictive, catchy and furious all at the same time. The group precisely finds its force in its unique ability to seamlessly jump genres, from fast paced saturated tracks to electro songs with a lighter feel, with a constant charismatic and alluring attitude. Before the release of their full length album for Alfa Matrix, this two-female / two-male group offers us on this new EPCD (which was produced by none other than Wade Alin of the cult American band CHRIST ANALOGUE / ATOMICA) 4 new songs including the instant hits "Havestar" and "Scin", plus 5 bonus club mixes by bands like COMBICHRIST, KLUTAE (aka LEAETHER STRIP), IMPLANT, DISKONNEKTED and NEIKKA RPM.
Definitely one of the most valuable and surprising discoveries by Alfa Matrix this year...

Review
ANNE CLARK returns to Belgium to record some more songs with her favourite Belgian musician, Len Lemeire, her partner in crime for several years now and colleague for all her electronic live shows. Once again, IMPLANT genuinely shows us how he can make her unique voice shine through his upbeat electronica arrangements. "Your World" is bound to become another classic in its genre and is also featured here as a splendid distorted beat versus piano mix by NOISUF-X. "Was It Always This Way?", another song with ANNE CLARK's vocals taken from IMPLANT's forthcoming seventh album ( "Audio Blender" ) is also revealed on this EP in the form of an incendiary EBM mix by LEAETHER STRIP.
From powerful dark industrial anthems on the apocalyptic "No Danger" to the upbeat "You Push Me" ( with guest vocals by UNTER NULL ) and its oppressive remix by C-DRONE-DEFECT, to the splendid and carrying electro clash tune "Fading Away" which receives the remix treatment from MILLIMETRIC and AUTO AUTO. We are also treated to a ZOMBIE GIRL remix signed by Sebastian Komor ( ICON OF COIL ) which features sexy guest vocals by the band's front-girl Renee C. Komor.
From EBM to electro all the way through techno trance, IMPLANT play all genres with the same seal of excellence reinforcing their leading position on the Belgian electronic scene. A recommended cocktail of modern electronics with an eighties melodic touch, danceable carrying beats and beautifully contrasting male / female vocals.

Review
IMPLANT - one of Belgium's most successful bands in the industrial dance scene returns with his Brand New full length album "Audio Blender". Teaming up with Jan D'Hooghe ( ex-VIVE LA FETE drummer ) and surrounded by prestigious guest vocalists such as FRONT 242's Jean-Luc De Meyer, ANNE CLARK, Erica Dunham of UNTER NULL and Jennifer Parkin of AYRIA, Len Lemeire serves us his 7th album. An exploding cocktail of modern electronics with an eighties melodic touch, danceable carrying beats and beautifully contrasting male / female vocals - Implant keeps innovation flourishing, forgeing the frontiers of eclecticism and sound diversity more than ever before...
The Belgian duo take you on a journey through the corridors of Electro Clash and Electro Pop with some allusions to Kraftwerk ( "Don't Feed The Robots" ) and Tiga ( "The Stimulator" ), before plunging you into the catacombs of harsh dancefloor industrial with tracks such as "You Push Me" or "Murderous Thoughts", but IMPLANT do not stop there, seamlessly revisiting their EBM roots ( on "Focus" ) and touching their experimental side with ironic electronic French chansons ( "Chanson D'Amour" ). Other gems include excellent collaborations with FRONT 242's vocalist on "The Creature" revealing Jean-Luc's vocal potential at its best, plus two more surprising classic modern electro wave hits with Len's favourite partner in crime, ANNE CLARK on "Was It Always This Way" and the sensual "Your World". An album full of ideas, innovations and suprises, the aptly titled "Audio Blender" is a must for fans of diverse, perfectly crafted industrial / dance electronics..

Review
Belgian electronic artist Len Lemeire once again explores, expands and redefines the limits of his musical spectrum to the maximum, on his very intimate 6th Implant album. Listeners will discover a special attention that has been reserved especially for the album's unique and strong vocal performances including wonderful appearances from Anne Clark on two songs ( on "Tune Up Your Chips And Circuits" and "Surface Tension" ). Revealing a linear electronic approach and alluring melodic appeal for compositions intermixing ethnic industrial dance, harsh EBM, a touch of electro and contrastino male / female vox, "Self-Inflicted" is, for Implant, the album of passage between the virtues of maturity and diversity. Modern electronics, sexy female vocals, harsh angry male growls, computer generated melodies, carrying upbeat rhythm patterns and Implant's signature sample manipulations are all on the extended list of the ingredients that make this passionate and provocative album an exploding and eclectic msical cocktail crowned by some stunning guest appearances including Anne Clarke, Razed In Black and Hungry Lucy. A self-inflicting sonic journey from eighties roots through an odyssey of electronic music, from here to the future and back again.

Review
Inure was formed in the Summer of 1999, shortly after its founding members Adam Moore and Robert Vogel arrived in Los Angeles. With similar musical influences and tastes in production, the duo sought out to create a sound reminiscent of the 'golden era' of industrial dance music, injected with their unique and updated ideas of where they'd like to hear the genre move. With Adam's formal training in Audio Production at the Art Institute of Seattle, and Rob's lengthy programming and musical experience, the two easily began sculpting what became their debut album, "Seemless". Layered with heavy beats, driving basslines, and thick atmospheres, Inure managed to capture exactly what they were looking for - the depth and feel of classic industrial, with forward-thinking production and sound design. After the collapse of their label ( Dying Culture ) the duo continued performing live shows and officially welcomed Sam P. ( Pulse Legion, Imperative Reaction ) as a permanent third member of Inure. With moths of dedicated studio work, the trio's second album "Subversive" is ready for release on Alfa Matrix after their club invasion with the "Disillusion" EP and the band's various compilation appearances. Produced by Ted Phelps ( Imperative Reaction ), Inure's new material has been kicked up a notch, while still maintaining their trademark sound : Dark, malevolent, heavy and layered, with even more straight-forward imaginative synthwork and punchy beats. With the help of Alfa Matrix, Inure will prove to be a major force and fusing their own sound into the evolution of the electro / industrial genre. Inure comes wholeheartedly recommended to fans of bands such as Numb, Velvet Acid Christ, Skinny Puppy etc...

Review
2005 was highlighted by the detonating and successful comeback of Claus Larsen with the mighty LEAETHER STRIP - now 2006 will mark the return of his side-project KLUTAE ( originally named Klute but changed to avoid confusion with a totally unrelated drum n' bass act ), through which the Danish master of Electro / Industrial expresses his most extravagant torments and fantasies. Klutae's first releases showcased a rather heavy and turbo-driven guitar-oriented sound which brought him comparisons to metal-industrial acts like Fear Factory, Bile and Swamp Terrorists. In fact, Klutae traditionally stands for a more punkish 'in ya face' attitude with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and angst-drivent old-school elektro arrangements. And it's with that very characteristic sense of humour that Claus Larsen invites the listener on another extravaganza journey through desert storms, hell fires and sexy parties...Klutae is loud and fun, and will musically certainly appeal to Leaether Strip fans while keeping its appal to followers Ministry and other such acts : "The "Sinner EP" delivers dense aggro-electro from the tortured soul of Claus Larsen's b****rd alter ego - 6 non-album club mixes, 6 infectious frontal floor-filler tracks displaying melodic aggressive power Electro / Industrial at its best !

2006 marks the return of LEAETHER STRIP side-project KLUTAE, through which the Danish master of Electro / Industrial expresses his most extravagant torments and fantasies. KLUTAE's first releases showcased a rather heavy and turbo-driven guitar-oriented sound which brought him comparisons to metal-industrial acts like FEAR FACTORY, BILE and SWAMP TERRORISTS, yet Claus Larsen has always considered this project as his most eclectic and unpredictable outlet. So it was no major surprise seeing its hardest walls of synthesised guitar noise eventually giving way to mid-tempo pounding tracks powered by the Leaether Strip trademark EBM bass-lines and Larsen's chameleon vocals. In fact, KLUTAE traditionally stands for a more punkish 'in your face attitude' with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and angst-ridden old-school elektro arrangements. And it's with that very characteristic sense of humour that Claus Larsen invites us now on another extravaganza journey through desert storms, biker orgies, hell fires, deathvalley saloons and other sexy parties...KLUTAE is loud and fun - it's dense aggro-electro from the tortured soul of Claus Larsen's bastard alter ego.

After The Devastation |

|
£8.99 |

Review
Standard 2CD Version. The release of the "Suicide Bombers" EP marks the official and strong return of the cult Danish electronic industrial artist Claus Larsen. It was in the early 90's when Leaether Strip rapidly established his position on the music map, reaching an unprecedented popularity in both the European and American electro scenes. While drawing on the powerful angst seen in other electro acts such as Front 242, Skinny Puppy and even Nine Inch Nails, Leaether Strip rapidly earned the reputation to carry a deeper message and meaning in his work through his very personal intense music and the often emotional, sometimes political dimension of his lyrics. On January 13th 2006, Leaether Strip celebrate its 18 years of existence and Claus Larsen has chosen that very special day to unleash his much anticipated new album aptly titled "After The Devastation". Although 5 years of silence almost killed him, it is by putting his pain into music, again, that Claus Larsen has managed to resurface frm a deep depression to feel today stronger and more confident than ever before. Once mentally blocked, his inspiration flow was so intense over the last months that the new Leaether Strip album could be nothing else but a Double CD set. By far his most personal and open-hearted album ever, "After The Devastation" alternates from the very intimate to more political oriented songs. Both musically and vocally, Leaether Strip simply continues his unique sound tradition while expanding in more diverse ways than anything he's done before. The harsh aggressive EBM tone given by the "Suicide Bombers" EP finds new inspiration in punishing tracks such as the autobiographical "Back In Control", the adrenaline-pumping "Slam" and the corrosive "One Man's Gain - Another Man's Pain". Of course, Claus Larsen delivers the typical Leaether Strip anthems constructed around upbeat electronics, dark symphonic melodies and distorted vox on songs like the straight and engaged "Homophobia", "Give Us Some Shelter ( Katrina )" and "aza Strip - The March Of The Innocent". Claus Larsen also explores more melodic realms with very catchy dark themed tunes such as the emotional pearl "Dying Is Easy - Life Is Harder", "What If", a totally rewritten version of "Carry Me - 2006" and the challenging "A Boy". Being a Double-CD album also of course leaves enough space for more surprising experiments such as on the bombastic and splendid "The Shame Of A Nation", the electro-punk of "Happy Pills ( Gimme Gimme )", the symphonic "Inner Exploration", the electro-clash swagger of "Junkie Do" and the excellent "Smerte" which with its Danish lyrics and intricate arrangements evokes the ghost of bands such as Das Ich...
Through his career Leaether Strip has explored various music styles within the electronic genre and this is what he continues to do at his very best, offering what will rapidly be referred to as his most outstanding effort to date with enough force, anger and emotion to please all fans of edgy-soulful, dark and uplifting electronic music. Ultimately with "After The Devastation" Leaether Strip keeps his promise to his fans and returns for more electronic mayhem - proving once more that even though he has been copied by many over the years, he always remains the real deal - and a true leader when it comes to dark electro industrial music.

Review
YES - it is official. The apocalyptic return of LEAETHER STRIP is here ! Claus Larsen is poised to launch his "Suicide Bombers" EP on the planet this October 2005 and he returns stronger than ever with an arsenal reloaded to the maximum for the ultimate dark industrial warfare all fans have been dreaming of. With countless albums under his belt, Claus Larsen has explored through his career various music styles within the electronic genre ranging from harsh aggressive EBM with distorted vocals to melodic dark synth pop, through more introspective bombastic symphonic orchestrations. This new EP gathers a bit of all these ingredients wrapped by Claus Larsen's unique genius and is no doubt the best present he could be offering to fans of strong electronic music with depth and edge !
Title track "Suicide Bombers" ( also available in a mind-blowing extended version reminding us of the good old days when 12" releases ruled the scene ) is no doubt one of the most powerful harsh EBM tracks ever written by Leaether Strip. Openly condemning suicide terror attacks, the EP continues to explore more political assaults with "Shame Of A Nation" which features a compelling song structure ultimately reaching an amazing climax in the second part of the song... "This Is Where I Want To Be" and "Death Is Walking Next To Me" are what we would call "classic Leaether Strip" tunes that showcase Claus Larsen's trademark characteristics : a punishing rhythmic pace and aggressive electronic style with distorted vocals. With "Til Far" the EP takes a darker and more symphonic turn before the aptly titled "Reborn" plunges us back into the powerful dark realms of Leaether Strip's rebirth. A sublime 7-track release that reminds us why LEAETHER STRIP has reached such a cult status on the electro / industrial scene and has throughout the years recurrently been acknowledged by many artists as one of their biggest influences.
Leaether Strip has been copied by many over the years, but the new EP and forthcoming album will prove to you that Leaether Strip is the real deal when it comes to dark electro industrial music.

Review
Instead of releasing a conventional second single taken off the highly successful comeback album "After The Devastation", Claus Larsen has decided to surprise his loyal fans once again by offering them a Brand New 9 track Mini Album for the summer of 2006. "Walking On Volcanos" holds 7 BRAND NEW new tracks plus two EXCLUSIVE Club Remixes of the highly emotional "What If" and the brooding dark tune, "Dying Is Easy Life Is Harder".
On this new Mini Album ( delivering nearly 60 minutes of new music ! ) LEAETHER STRIP once again manages to cover the different facets of his repertoire, with the splendid title song "Walking On Volcanos" perfectly fitting his upbeat melodic electro style, while his aggressive EBM side explodes with "Life Is A Kick In The Balls" and "Hate & Fear" which are sure to please the strong followers of his "Suicide Bombers" mega-hit. We even get a taste of some extreme harshness with the explicit and controversial song, "How Far Is It From Auschwitz To Guantanamo?". Additionally the sombre and moody mid-tempo "Take Me Home Again" reminds how soulful Leaether Strip can sometimes be. On this new release, our favourite Danish artist once again covers his more personal lyrical themes but also offers more engaged political issues as well. Angry but catchy, punishing but loving, clear but distorted. The Danish master is more alive than ever delivering another release with the LEAETHER STRIP seal of quality.

Review
On their second full-length album, the German duo Mnemonic deepen their perfectionist search for unique sterile ambiences generated by rhythmic high-tech electronic arrangements. A quest they had brilliantly initiated on last years' single ''A Day On My Own'' which took them away from their early similarities with Front Line Assembly and pushing them closer to the IDM ambient industrial genre. ''Konstruktive Vergangenheitsbewaltigung'' is an amazing conceptual production of intelligent electronica / ambient industrial, an album of bright and shimmering darkness : A breathtaking sonic journey through clinical atmospheres haunted by depressive freezing melodies, vaporous synth layers, vibrating distorted driven beats, and noisy percolating bleeps. The dense, fascinating yet frightening atmospheres of their compositions are dominated by manipulated German vocal samples that bring you the weight of an intense suffocating feeling. For all fans of Haujobb, Architect and Autechre.

Review
Belgian electronic music veteran and producer Eric Van Wonterghem ( ex-KLINIK and active member of INSEKT & SONAR ) strikes back with the sixth album of his successful solo project MONOLITH. Having the rare privilege to appeal to a very diversified audience ( ranging from the Ant-Zen / Hands harsh ambient / industrial camp through to Novamute and the more electronic tribal dance experimenters ) "Talisman" returns MONOLITH to its hypnotic tribal roots, the very same elements that first brought this project huge club success. New tracks such "Talisman", "Shadow" and "Al Ahali ( Club Mix )" maintain the standard of excellence and are all potential new dancefloor hits !
Overall, this new album sounds more direct and more powerful / hi-energy oriented, which will please all fans of his meticulous cold and forceful arrangements constructed around repetitive loops, hypnotising electronic sequences and carrying mesmerising rhythmic structures. A multi-coloured journey through electro and industrial landscapes, incorporating new exotic elements, retro eighties tonalities and other judicious vocal samples. An uplifting tribal industrial techno experience to play at maximum volume !

Review
After having unleashed the secrets of the "Gemini Prophecies", the enigmatic persona behind NEIKKA RPM returned to the shadowy catacombs of New York where she prepared for the "Rise of the 13th Serpent"...
Over the course of 30 months, Dominique lured her carefully selected victims into the darkness of her studio to experience a host of wicked and intense recording sessions. Once fallen into her innocently disguised trap, her prestigious guests could only surrender and let her guide their voices through the shifting shadows of her hard industrial arrangements. And this is how NEIKKA RPM's new album features the virulent venom of prominent male vocalists such as Claus Larsen ( LEAETHER STRIP ), Claus Kruse ( PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE ), J3 ( ą;GRUMH...), Len Lemeire ( IMPLANT ), DJ Rexx Arkana ( BRUDERSCHAFT / FGFC820 ) and a unique spoken-word performance from the acclaimed Japanese cyberpunk author Kenji Siratori, all of which perfectly contrast Dominique's whispery incantations...
Musically, she raises her characteristic Industrial n' Beats furious style to the next level, adding more depth through intricate programming and distant comforting voices all riding a heavy wave of devastating dancefloor-crushing beats and mysterious textures. As usual, Neikka RPM subtly conjures her secret compositional tricks and sassy whispers to hypnotise victims with her eternal spell of seduction...Hypnotic, dark and complex, "The Rise of the 13th Serpent" comes as a highly recommended sonic experience far away from the beaten path.

Review
Described by O.V.N.I themselves as "Tek-Pop tunes for dancing humanoids" and following their recent dancefloor Maxi "Good For You", "Objet Volant Non Identifié" - their stunning debut album comes as a recommended discovery to all fans of Covenant, Haujobb, Colony 5, Seabound, Statemachine etc. O.V.N.I. ( side project of London-based electro beat / dance pop act Seize ) venture to the dark side of the human psyche with a brooding but upbeat combination of twisted beats and bone crunching basslines. This time with Steven taking the lead vocals and Sandrine and Rosie being joined on keyboard duties by 4th member Jessie. With vocal comparisons to Eskil Simonsson ( Covenant ) and Phil Oakey ( Human League ) and musically likened to the bastard child of Daniel Myer ( Haujobb ) and Aphex Twin, O.V.N.I. universally defy categorisation. Call it future pop ! Call it EBM dance ! Call it break beat IDM ! Yet another great signing for the Alfa Matrix label !

Review
In the early 90's, the PNE debut album ''Transmission'' immediately propelled Plastic Noise Experience to the forefront of the explosive German dark electro scene along side bands such as Project Pitchfork, Das Ich, The Eternal Afflict and Calva Y Nada. Now, 5 years after their last album, P.N.E. return with a new album and this limited EP - strictly limited to only 1000 copies worldwide. ''Maschinenraum'' is a special appetiser Maxi CD released to announce the coming arrival of PNE's new album ''Maschinenmusik''. Next to notable remixes by electronic veteran Gin Devo ( ex-VOMITO NEGRO ) and BLUTENGEL, ''Machinenraum'' also includes stunning remixes by PNE's live members : TECHNOIR, SERPENTS and CYSONIC, as well as by label mates AIBOFORCEN, GLIS and DUNKELWERK. Plastic Noise Experience also created, exclusively for this EP Maxi, powerful club remixes for the album's new hits ''Maschinen'', ''Monoton Synchron'' and ''Plastic Fantastic''. To add even more value and intensity to this release, the 3 track Maxi CD also includes two rare unreleased cuts ''Schlafmodus 3'' and ''Recall Now'' which will not appear on the album version ! PNE deliver uncompromised old school EBM with harsh powerful German vocals, kicking distorted beats and virulent Kraftwerk-like melodies...an overpowering, engulfing and explosive sonic experience building a bridge between the original 80's Neue Deutsche Welle ( New German Wave ) roots and 21st Century's ''less is more'' electronic movement. Review
The American duo Regenerator return with their 5th full length album in which they express nothing less than the simple emotion of ''War''. This is perhaps the band's darkest and most emotionally triumphant effort to date, but it's definitely the most club-minded and catchy work they have ever written. With spiritual and physical conflicts as core subject, ''War'' is an album of rich rhythm and haunting atmosphere, which evokes contemplation yet urges people to the dancefloor... for battle! Regenerators characteristic male / female seductive vocals beautifully enter in symbiosis with their enticing melodies, carrying synth lines and pumping groundbreaking industrial beats. Tuneful songs like ''Shores Of Forever'', ''Faith'', and ''Nowhere'' will get you singing along in no time; while pumping tracks like ''God Is On My Side'', ''Blink'' and the harsh industrial club mix of ''War'' will make you dance till you drop!.

Review
Fantastic double CD retrospective from US electro outfit Regenerator. ''Regenerated X'' is a compendium ten years in the making. Since 1993, Wrex Mock and Patrice Synthea have zealously dedicated themselves to composing and producing synth-based music that espouses a driving sound in which their various inspirations - electro, synth pop, goth, and new wave - collide and coalesce. Striving for a modern sound while staying true to their roots, the twosome have taken influences such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Ministry and fused them within their own personal style. A musical tug of war defines Regenerator's electronic sound where light meets dark, hope battles despair, jagged edges touch smooth surfaces, and the contrasts make for catchy, danceable tunes. Includes a mixture of past classics and exclusive remixes ( from FRONT 242, KMFDM, CLAN OF XYMOX, ASSEMBLAGE 23, GLIS , and many more...) available here only ! Welcome to the reflective realm of Regenerator ! Strictly limited to 1000 copies ony.

Review
Finally, US Electro act Regenerator resurfaces with their highly anticipated 7th full-length album "Disease". Inspired by both personal and universal experiences, "Disease" is an emotionally charged album, charting new territories into foreboding atmospheres and pulsating rhythms of epidemic proportions, with the duo's tenacity resulting in a refinement of their craft. Light meets dark, hope battles despair, jagged edges touch smooth surfaces, and the contrasts make for catchy, danceable tunes on which dark melody and bright energy become one. Trademarked by the interplay between deep, brooding vocal growls and delicate female singing paralleling the duo's juxtaposition of aural aggression and euphoric melody. With dancefloor hits such as "Organism", "Death", "Apnea" and "Airbourne" set to immediately contaminate dancefloors worldwide alongside slower and deeper moments such as the title-song "Disease" ( a must for all fans of 80's era The Cure ) and the sombre video for "Terrible Love", "Diseas" offers an incredible variety of electro styles from catchy uptempo dancefloor beats, sublime melodies and driving rhythms.

Berlin's own Sero.Overdose deliver their stunning second album ( hot on the heels of their floor burning maxi release "No Time For Club Silence" ), a brilliant combination of dark and alluring male vocals, melodic synth passages and dancefloor electro beats. Review
French industrialists TAMTRUM unleash their debut album for Belgian Electro Label Alfa Matrix - a caustic, provocative and perverted assault of sonic manipulation and mutilation. "Elektronic Blakc Mess" takes power industrial electro delivered with a dark goth / metal look with soundwaves that veer between harsh elektro sequences, distorted vocals and blistering drum patterns comparable to bands like HOCICO with a rather MANSON( esque ) attitude...Their music and lyrics ( in French & English ) are morbid, disturbing, nasty, sick, noisy and above all hyper-danceable especially on club anthems "Abort The Pope", "Paranoļak, Hypokondriak and Toxicomaniak" and "Pervert Inc". Tracks veer from dense and claustrophobic ( "In A Little Skull Box" ) to highly melodic future pop ( "My Fall" ) which brings some synthetic light to this strong and brutal album. A new hi-energy and merciless aggressive assault for all fans of hardcore Electro...

Review
After the release of their album "Groundlevel" (and the "Requiem" MCD) on the German Bloodline label, and their major hit cover of "Love Like Blood" (Sony), TECHNOIR took a short break. Steffen Gehring went on the road again as the live keyboardist for PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE and remixed bands like PSYCHE, THE ETERNAL AFFLICT, P.N.E., OVNI, etc, while Julia Beyer contributed vocals to the comeback album and tour of THE ETERNAL AFFLICT and also did various other highly praised vocal contributions for MELOTRON, ROTERSAND, DISTORTED REALITY, etc. Today TECHNOIR breaks their far too long silence and proudly present their new EPCD taken from their forthcoming new album "Deliberately Fragile". And what a come back! With their own "Manifesto", the duo once more strengthens its status as one of the leading female-fronted Electropop-bands in the scene. The self-produced EP features terrific remixes from well-known and hot artists like HAUJOBB's ingenious Daniel Myer, ROTERESAND, as well as a driving flor-filler version from Russia's Electro-Superstar DJ RAM (VIRTUAL SERVER). Furthermore, the collaboration of TECHNOIR with the famous German Hip Hop-Producer DJ Rabauke (Fettes Brot, Eins Zwo) and House-Specialist DJ Delobbo proves the open-mindedness of the duo and will surely bring new colours to the scene. And last, but not least, the package is filled with even more captivating remixes from the German Synthpop-institution BEBORN BETON, along with two remixes from Steffen himself where he once again laid his gifted hands on the songs and added new and surprising facets. With a harder edge and a darker touch than previous releases, Steffen's new songs feature that special melodic touch that perfectly suits Julia's impressive vocal range. Whatever you expected, TECHNOIR will prove you better - see you in your favourite club!
